One of the best poncha places in Funchal. Evenings always crowded, mornings less. Very friendly staff. You should definitely put it on the top of your poncha places to visit list.

Cheap and amazing service. The people are really nice and speak loads of languages. Best place to try the famous Poncha, which was soooo good and has tons of different flavors to choose from. ✨

After a long day of hiking I definitely needed that: a very chill environment and lovely staff. I tell you, that little sweetie poncha you are underestimating is way stronger than what you are reckoning. The price was good and you’ll have some snacks along with your order. Three poncha was enough for me to be actually plastered. The people in the bar were very friendly and you’ll meet some interesting individuals. Enjoy your time!

Great bar, we tasted 6 Ponchas (strawberry, mandarine, classic, negra, passion fruit) and each was great. We were lucky to find the last free table at 9 pm. After that it was full with people waiting for free table. Worth to visit, taste few Ponchas (be careful about the alcohol inside :) ) and enjoy the atmosphere. 👍👍👍

That is an awesome place with great drinks and nice people. After the 3rd time we received a personal welcome, even though this place is busy around the clock. Poncha is of course one of the best on the Island. And the "meter" (assortment of all ponchas served on 3-4 ft. board with 25 shots) is absolutely something to try (not alone, I would suggest). If there is no table available, ask the waiter to be put on the waiting list instead of just waiting on the sideline. Or just ask to join someone and share a meter .... great way to make new friends.

I've been there a couple of times, great variety of flavors of ponchas and the truth is that they are very good! My favorite is the Maracujá! We were served by a very nice and friendly girl, everything was excellent!

Really loved this place, so we went back again! Nice chilled bar with outdoor seating, the poncha is a must try and food was also nice. Make sure you bring cash as they don't take card

Packed vibe. Hand made Poncha. The guy is literally pounding juices all night long. Love the drinks! Take out too. Get your Poncha here!

We had a lunch here and were in the area a couple of different nights for drinks. The experience every time was great. The location is fantastic, being quite central. The lunch we had was really tasty. Exactly what you'd want from a snack bar - great quality, delicious food, at a relatively reasonable price. We had the beefsteak sandwich and a garlic butter bolo de caco - over a week on and I'm still thinking about it! Drinks are also not too badly priced though definitely more expensive than some other local bars. For the atmosphere you get here at most times of the day and the friendly service it's definitely worth it. The beers, nikita, and poncha are all worth trying. For tourists, note that you need to have cash as they don't accept international cards but this is only a small annoyance and the rest of the experience more than makes up for it.

Small hole in the wall style bar. Seating is outside nyt you can sit there even if it rains. They serve really good ponchas. And the price is cheap!

The bar offers a range of drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. There is opportunity to taste the local drink poncha. Here they offered two additional flavours compared to other bars. These were English tomato which is a plum flavour and a black poncha made up black Russian vodka. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Best Poncha in town! You are sitting together with touristas and locals 😉 Be aware there is often some queue to get a free table.

A lovely Poncha bar & an excellent find in the backstreets of Funchal. Outdoor seating only, especially good for warm summer/ winter night's. Service by one brilliant fast efficient waiter was especially good to see. The Poncha was spot on, so I'm told. It was so popular it should be visited early on . As after 7 pm people have to wait for availability of tables. Great atmosphere and lively place, snack menu also available. A must visit while in Funchal on Maderia.

Poncha Regional and the Prego were great, freshly made. Would recommend for a quick pit stop at the terrace on a hot day.

One of the most famous locals for the "poncha". The regional for only 2,5 euros.. the other between 3/4 euros. Fast service, good and in a nice location.

Great atmosphere to come in for a short snack and a glass of Poncha (few peanuts for free). Burgers like from the old days. For 4 Ponchas, a burger and a hotdog we paid about 30 eu.

Best ponchos we tasted. Real natural juices. First day in Madeira we tasted ponchos, which were nowhere with Rum. Just later we understood the lear flavour of ponchos. This place has nice ballance between rum and juices, really worthy to visit. The guide from freetours said its best place in Funchal and I cannot say otherwise.

Great place. Cool atmosphere and great staff. We've tried 7 different types of ponchas and this is the best place if you want to start your adventure with this drink. We will definitely go back there again.

Nice place for drinks and small food. We tried poncha with various flavours, also another signature drink Nikita and Bolo do caco sandwich with cheese and bacon. Everything was really tasty. Nice and kind staff.

Incredible place to try local drinks - Nikita and Poncha. Prices are best in town and these drinks also!!! Try the lemon poncha!!! When you order drink, staff brings you peanuts and beans, so new order of drinks - new portion of snacks. There is one problem, they don’t accept international payment cards :( So only cash or local bank cards

A must to visit for a true taste of Poncha. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean toilet facilities and outside seating. Really reasonably priced too

After 6 ponchas you start forgetting who you are! I've tried various of them and they were all good so far, my favorite was the classical one though (regional). Good ambiance and service.

Such a great stop for that hit of Poncha. The tangerine poncha is a must have and all made fresh. Great friendly service to go with. Win win.

Interesting open space along the seafront at Funchal. Bars and cafes line the road but plenty of open area to wander around and grassy areas with picnic tables too

!CASH ONLY PLACE! (if you do not own PT credit card) This place definitely lives up to its reviews! Very tasty ponchas for good prices with pleasant service. With every drink you always receive portion of peanuts, which is very thoughtful! All the personnel was attentive, bringing drinks fast and even explaining how they make the drinks. We tried various ones, but to me the best one was the regional poncha without ice - it just has some kind of a kick, which I enjoyed.

What a gem! Can't fault this little place. Tried different poncha at this little bar and also the food. Hot dogs, hamburgers and steak sandwiches. All highly recommended. The staff are very busy all the time making fresh juice for drinks and making sure all the customers are happy.

Highly regarded poncha bar. Poncha being local rum with fruit juice. Delicious. One with strawberry and one with passion fruit. Lethal for 11 in the morning so no more til much later. Apparently it gets rammed later on so being first customers is a good idea; I hope..closed on Sunday...so back on Monday to try tomate ingles poncha.

Great place to be! The drinks had a perfect mixture and taste exotic. The Poncha Lemon and negra i recommend highly! To Diego-Pig spend some tip! Cause the waiters were really organized and friendly.

The best place where to have ponchas and order cocktails in Funchal. Food is also very good, the steak sandwich is amazing. The atmosphere is very good, lots of locals. It gets very busy so come here early. Last but not least, the staff is very friendly. The poncha black is a must-try.
