Nice park in the city centre of Funchal. Full of flowers, trees, lizards, birds, butterflies etc. Park is very well kept, very clean. Public toilet, two places where you can drink tea, poncha or coffee. Many benches where you can sit and admire the landscape/nature. Good view for the port. I like this place.

A very beautiful and large park where you can see the paradise flowers and some tropical flowers, plants and cactus trees. There is also a small snack in which you can taste the poncha and eat. The park also overlooks the Cristiano Ronaldo Museum and the sea. There is also a place designated for children to play safely. When walking there, I enjoy every moment.

A stunning large park set on a hill with beautiful views of Funchal and the harbor. There are numerous benches, a pond with birds and grassy areas to enjoy. A treasure this close to the old part of town and a beautiful place to come.

Loved being in Parque de Santa Catarina since I was a little girl. Chilling by the grass, taking in some good vitamin SUN 😁 There is a little park for children to have fun: swings, slides, climbing structures and a interactive centre that does activities for children. For adults, there is a coffee shop right on the bottom of the park. Overall, my favourite place to be when I return back home

This is a beautiful park located between Avenida do Infante and Avenida Sá Carneiro in the Western part of Funchal. Spectacular views of the harbour, the city of Funchal and Serra on top of the island. A very tranquil park too, even with the hussle and bussle of Funchal nearby you really can relax here. The gardens are very well kept and a testament to the team of workers who look after the park, well done! The park is also used for concerts so expect to have a stage here from time is time . There is also a children's play area and a couple of coffee shops. Well worth a visit

Nice and clean park. Has benches in the shade but also a big grass portion in the sun. There is a small lake as well. Public toilets are available. It has a small chapel, the oldest on the island. The free walking tours start from here twice a day.

A beautiful Park with a playground for kids. Near the cruise ship terminal. The way up to the park is steep because it is located on top of a cliff.

Amazing park with an amazing view. They even have a drop in centre for toddlers and kids with colouring toys and books. One of the best parks in Madeira for kids to play.

Park Santa Catarina is one of the big parks in Funchal overlooking the port of Funchal. It is beautiful with a small water body and fountains. Many flowering plants and shrubs are inside the park. It is in fact a tourist attraction. I have spent evening time watching the port from here. Evening breeze is soothing.

This is a nice park in downtown Funchal. There's a little water fountain with ducks enjoying the water. There's a big grass to do some picnic, and lots of benches to sit down. It's also a nice spot to do exercise since there are lots of steps. Nice location to take photo as well.

Wonderful elevated park with views over Funcal City and harbour. As always over the last 20 years, beautiful gardens with flowers in every season. Lake with swans and muscovado ducks. Benches and shady trees. Currently a lovely sculpture trail is displayed with explanation board. Music events are held here at different times with a natural sloping grass arena to the stage set below. It's a place for everyone to enjoy.

A BEAUTIFUL HAVEN IN FUNCHAL! On a blisteringly hot day I wandered into this park essentially to escape the direct sunlight. I had no previous knowledge of it but found it to be absolutely beautiful. It was well laid out and full of stunning trees, shrubs and flowers. The water features were bordered with multicoloured floral displays and abundant wildfowl. There were plenty of shaded places to escape the heat, it had nice clean toilets and fabulous viewpoints over Funchal City and the enormous marina port. I particularly liked the little lizards, which were initially a bit skittish until I started to feed them banana ( I had read that they ate any unharvested ones that dropped to the ground on the island). All in all a fantastic escape from the hustle and bustle of town life. Like most things in Madeira though, there are gradients in the park, but the paths are good with plenty of stopping places and I would definitely recommend a visit.

Fabulous park to stroll around, cafe on site offering hot and cold refreshments and ice cream available. The park itself is adorned with beautiful plants and dotted with sculptures of historic figures as well as art. Enjoy lying on an open green that outlooks the Maderia landscape on a hot day.

Park in Funchal, where there were preparations for some big event (stages, stalls etc), so we just quickly walked around. There was a little lake with ducks. Very nice place for resting with view over the city.

Absolutely beautiful park in Funchal with stunning views. The children’s park inside is awesome. Our little one had a great time and tired himself out completely. Mission accomplished!
