I ordered the churros with Nutella - totally recommend! The churros are deliciously crispy but not oily at all! The portion size is perfect for someone like me who loves sugar.

Very cheap for the size of the portions! Also everything we tried was delicious. We went there 5 times during our 12 days stay. Service was also superb. Can just recommend it!

Very friendly and attentive staff. Really good churros. And that special hot chocolate is so thick a spoon will float on the foam. If you like hot chocolate or milk chocolate at all, I cannot recommend it enough. ❤️

This is the place to go to for dessert! I’ve traveled all over the world and this place had the most delicious churro I’ve ever tasted. I got the chocolate brownie gelato to go along with it. So darn yummy! The best part of the experience was our super friendly server.

The restaurant is located in a picturesque street quite close to the centre of Funchal. You can eat inside or outside. Service very friendly and helpful. As for the food, it is cheap, looks good on the plate and is delicious! Churros and panini highly recommended and homemade Madeira wine!

This place is a must visit in Madeira. Forget the fact that is more of a “snack” place but you should definetly dine in here when you visit. The wraps and baguettes are out of this world. We came here after drinks and a long flight and I have to say it was worth it. We had the DMC wrap which was with chunks of steak with garlic mayo and vegetables which was amazing. Meat is medium rare cooked perfectly with great seasoning. The grilled chicken curry with cream cheese was the highlight. It is astonishing how curry spiced grilled chicken would go so well with light cream cheese and how amazing it complements the flavours. Fabulous flavours blended together. The house wine was also really good , locally harvested and made, tastes similar to the wineries in the low habited islands in Greece! Must visit place!

The food was incredible! Stopped here for lunch, waiter was friendly and helped with recommendation! Suggested the American chicken tender which was amazing! Churro was lovely with the Nutella and kinder mix! Highly recommend!!

Super cute cafe with friendly staff and a chill ambience. We ordered the vegetarian sandwhich (comes with fries) was too good & also the the churros with the kinder joy dip. A must visit if you are looking for pocket friendly, tasty and cafe style food. Just couple of suggestion would be that - 1) the tortilla which comes as a wrap can be cooked a little more on both the sides. 2) please add some more vegetarian options

My daughter loved coming to this little eatery in Funchal. The staff are all very friendly and made us feel at home. Churros are yummy. Best in Funchal!

Nice restaurant in a lovely street, you can sit inside and outside. Good menu with fresh products, great value for money, good portion size. Staff was extremely friendly. We went two times, we ate a beef wrap, chicken sandwich and a tasty milkshake. Highly recommended

After a long day exploring the city we were looking for a treat and boy did this place deliver. In addition to some very wonderful Churros they have a full spread of sandwiches. Neither disappointed, both created happiness. Having said that, give the milkshake a very chance — divine! The staff were super friendly and we had a great time!

We have been visiting O.Giro for a month now, like at least twice a week (in Madeira for 2 months). First of all: affordability. While the rest of the places around has prices at around 20EUR to get a full meal with a drink at O.Giro it is way closer to paying around 13 EUR (per person) for a full meal with a drink and a dessert. And the price-to-quality ratio is off the charts! Second of all: the food. If you eat meat that place is for you no doubt. I can definitely recommend both Porky BBQ and Giro in a wrap variation. However! If you don't eat meat or are a vegan there are wrap options for you as well, though slightly more limited (but still delicious). Don't skip on dessert with this one. If you are into something less sweet then a churro with Oreo topping is there, waiting for you. But if want something in the middle I would recommend a churro with a Kinder topping. However if you are in for a sweetness bomb go in straight for the Kinder Milkshake. Last but absolutely not least: the staff. They all speak good English, they give great recommendations, they serve the food quickly, and if you need to rearrange the tables there is no problem (depending on the crowd of course). Most importantly they smile, and they are always positive in a non-intruding way. I basically can't stress how much that place deserves a visit 😊

Best lunch on Madeira! A panini between two dives and a churro with ice cream and toppings after 3 dives on one day. Also a very good hangover dish ;) Very friendly waiters!

The food here is simply amazing!! Being a vegetarian I opted for the salad and it exceeded my expectations. The churros with ice cream and dips were out of this world- super fresh and incredibly tasty. And the cherry on the cake was how cheap the food was! We ended up visiting 2 times on a 3 day trip which is a testament to the quality of this restaurant! Couldn’t recommend more ☺️

Lovely stop with small outdoor patio and cozy interior. Staff were friendly and the food was delicious. Much better than anything closer to the docks and all the tourists. Cheers!!

We came here 3 times in less than one week. All these visits were perfect. Paninis and churros were amazing, price was very good comparing with other places. For two people it was less than 20€ including main meals, drinks and one shared churros (you can get full!!). We’re happy to find place like this. Thanks to the all staff!

Lively atmosphere inside with MTV or football! Cosy decor or you can sit outside and be part of the street scene. Very friendly and helpful staff - best in Madeira so far. I had a shandy to cool off, and a Gelado Churro (churros with a single scoop of Strachiatella ice cream). It looked magnificent! Good news, it tasted great, freshly made, thin and crispy on the outside, with a little band of doughy batter in the middle. Hope to make another visit before the end of my holiday 😁

The service is excellent and the food is amazing! I asked them to exchange something I didn't like for something else and they said I could do that and choose anything I liked, which is really good. Loved everything and will definitely come back.

Really great panini's and salads - I had the delicious Jardim Salad (crispy chicken, bacon, boiled eggs, corn, tomatoes and a creamy dressing) and my partner had the Giro panini with Black Angus beef. We then finished off with a great churro with Nutella dip. There was a bit of a wait for a table at lunchtime, but it was worth it. Would definitely come back!

We visited O.Giro twice while in Funchal and both times we left satisfied! The menu here features sandwiches and salads at affordable prices. The sandwiches have surprising combos that work and are always served by friendly staff. There’s seating both inside and out in the shade. I recommend the Greek chicken sandwich and of course, their churros. Their special hot chocolate is also appropriately special. If you’re on your last €10 and starving - go here and eat like a king.
