A wonderful place to stay. The hosts, Ana and Sonia were extremely helpful. They gave us advise where to go siteseeing, eat or get a drink. Big thanks for recommending a car rental company! The breakfasts were very nice with plenty of fruit. We didn't lack a thing at Quinta Mar&Sol.

Very friendly staff, good small breakfast with bread, jam and coffee. 20-30min to the city center. You might hear the street so have some ear plugs with you. Microwave and water boiler available but no oven or similar.

There are cockroaches in the rooms.

Rooms are a bit basic but they are comfortable and clean. There was a major ant problem in the kitchen on arrival which wasn't ideal. The cleaning lady is amazing though and super lovely and it's very ideally located for walks into Funchal!

The house is very clean, our room is very nice, large, apparently great, but there are huge cockroaches running in the corridor and kitchen, there were none in our room, we lived in this turret, but they were running in other rooms, last evening we sat in the aquarium on the outside and we left the door to the house open, it's a disaster, they come from outside, generally, if I had been aware of such "attractions", I wouldn't have gone to Madeira.

Good location. Very pleasant and spacious house, but the highlight is D. Ana. Attentive, kind and welcomes us as if she had known us for years. 🤩

Quiet place, rooms with bathrooms, shared kitchen available to tourists. The cleaning lady cleaned the rooms every other day. The entire house was tidy and seemed very clean. However, in the evenings, thumb-sized cockroaches appeared in the corridor, in the kitchen and in some rooms.
