The Mason Jar Tavern is a true gem of a restaurant in Fuquay-Varina. Food: Everyone at the table agreed that the food was all good. The pimento cheese sandwich was spicy sweet and savory, the shrimp and grits were good, the mushroom swiss burger was juicy, well cooked and seasoned, and they created a good, tender buffalo chicken sandwich upon request. The food was delivered quickly and all together as well. The menu isn't cluttered with too many options and they have a simple but nicely selected beverage menu as well. Service: We had the amazing pleasure to have Colee as our server and you couldn't ask for a kinder, more attentive person. Fast friendly and all of the staff seemed to enjoy working together. Atmosphere: The restaurant is clean, not cluttered, lots of TVs at great viewing angles, not too loud of a location. The bar itself is a decent size and maybe supports 15-20 people. Sanitation rating of 98.0 as of Oct. 2022. There are outdoor tables available as well weather permitting of course. We absolutely will be going back and are looking forward to trying the brunch on Sundays.

Definitely was the best food I've had in a while. I've never been downtown fuquay or close to this restaurant anyway. Definitely a 10/10. The service was awesome, quickly seated and our food was prepared and delivered in decent amount of time. I especially want to thank the bartender Dale/Dell (sorry forgot the name slightly...lol) for making my drink so special and to my liking! Definitely coming back for another special drink real soon!

Mason Jar Tavern is a great addition to our FV go-tos. They have great cocktails and yummy food options. We get the corn fritters every time but somehow don’t have a picture of them, probably because they don’t last long. The burgers are our fav too!

We will definitely be back! We ordered the fish n chips and the pork loin entrees and received our food within 5-8 minutes. The timing of this was very impressive as most seats in the restaurant were full. The fish was crispy, tender, and without an oily taste. The pork loin was hands-down the best I've had in a restaurant, so tender that no knife was needed and perfectly balanced in seasoning with molasses. We finished this treat off with a half-pint jar of creme brulee, which is something we will probably do again. Service was outstanding on all accounts. Bathrooms were well-kept. Food was quick, hot, very well cooked, and served in large portions. Pricing was fair, expensive by the bottom line of $20 per main entree (plus or minus five dollars) but very fair for the quality and amount of food. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This was a great stop on a weekday for lunch! Quiet, seated right away, very accommodating to the mobility needs of my mother. The waitress was very prompt in getting drinks and orders, and astute in her menu knowledge when it came to dietary restrictions and serious allergies we had to consider when ordering. The food was delicious, great portions, all made from scratch, or cut fresh once ordered. Highly recommend!

A table for four. Tuesday night 7:15pm. Greeted and seated. Colee was our server. Friendly and knowledgeable, answered all our questions. We ordered 1 fried green tomato and 1 corn fritter appetizer. Both were fantastic. Drinks were ordered. Tried the drink special, Raspberry Margarita, very tasty. Also a Corona, Carolina 75 and a absolutely perfect Spicy Bloody Mary. The SBM came with a shrimp, fresh slice of mozzarella on a piece of celery and thin slice of pickle. Dinner 2 Fried green tomato BLT with bacon dill potatoes salad. So freak'n good. 1 Philly cheese steak sandwich also with BDPS, enjoyed it. 1 Pimento cheese burger with BDPS, delicious. For desert we ordered the flight, Crem'e brulee, S'mores, berry cobble and a flourless chocolate cake. Don't miss out on that. Decor was nice. Bathrooms clean. We will return.

We were passing through town after a long hike. Glad we stopped by at Mason Jar Tavern. We’re greeted by a friendly staff. Amazing selection of beer. Their sandwiches are huge! As you can see from the pictures, we had chicken sandwiches that were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place if in downtown Fuquay-Varina.

The most Mason Jar Tavern is a nice restaurant. Came here for lunch/dinner. Turkey sandwich was pretty good. Overall the Restuarant was clean and the staff was friendly.

Came here on Veterans Day and an unexpected surprise was the veterans menu. They not only provided a free beer but also free dinner and a free dessert. The service was amazing. The dish boys constantly grabbed any dirty dish. My server was so sweet. Food was very good. Highly recommend

The waffles here are amazing but the chicken that comes with it is so dry and lacks any flavor. I will definitely be coming here again but I just can't bring myself to get the chicken again (tried it twice). I would get the waffle with something else or the burgers are pretty great too. Service is top notch and it's a great environment. Check it out if you can

Nice staff. Shrimp and Grits was very good. Potatoes salad was much anticipated but not liked. Fresh fries were quite good. Chicken and waffles was good. Pricing is like every where else like this restaurant is higher than I like.

I tend to give 5 stars because I appreciate what servers go through, but I honestly have to say, this deserved 5 stars all around. The food was mind blowing, our server Sarah was great! I’ve been living here almost 5 years and I’m sad that I haven’t tried this place earlier. I know it sounds corny or weird, but I haven’t felt connected to food so much almost anywhere as much as I have this place, I truly had to eat slowly to make sure I enjoyed this as much as possible. Please go here!! Sorry we took a couple bites before the pics, it was too good not to lol.

Loved their draft beers, food and service. I particularly enjoyed the grilled mushroom and cheese black bean burger alongside a flight of beers. Would love to visit again.

I had the Mediterranean salad with salmon. It was very delicious. My daughter had the pimento cheese burger with fries. It was also very good. We were part of a large group. They quickly accommodated us. And the service was fabulous! 5 out of 5 stars!

The food is delicious, the menu has variety, and the service is always phenomenal. The manager there is always working super hard with a great attitude to ensure his floor is running smoothly. Great food and fair prices. The drink specials are good and delicious. The experience is much better than any chain can offer. If you haven't been, check out the dill bacon potato salad. The chicken here is marinated and grilled perfectly. Also, if bringing children, they have options your kids will love that are healthy, too. I just love this place. It's our favorite place to go as a family.

This experience has been hands down the best experience, food, and staff I’ve ever had. Our waitress Emma was so amazing and attentive, had great conversation but not overbearing, didn’t have to ask her for anything or track her down because she was on it. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I had to get to go orders too because it was so delicious. We sat outside on the patio and it was so nice. I loved this place and I’ll definitely be coming back 50/10!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mason jar in downtown Fuquay is a always a solid choice. They have a pretty diverse menu and have enough space even on a busy day. They do offer outdoor seating in nice months. French fries are hand cut, they have good homemade ranch. I got the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. It was well cooked and 6/10 on heat scale. Recommend a different bread then what it comes on, just a lot of bread went to waste. Every time I go I leave knowing I’d come back. Manager asked us how are meal was and severs were receptive.

The hot chicken sandwich is super hot...beware :), but my son loved it! The burgers are very tasty, and the corn on the cob was delicious. The restaurant is super clean; even the restrooms. Service was a little bit slow, but it was busy.

This was a good meeting spot for brunch between Raleigh and Lillington. I wasn’t expecting those fried green tomatoes- yum! I have thought about them a few time since having them- The mimosa flight is great but is overly light on the champagne (I would pay a few more bucks for some extra bubbly) and the bowl that I had was good but had a lack of flavor and texture that would have stepped it up within the potato and meats.

Food took 2 and 1/2 hours and they forgot condiments asked for , burgers both over cooked, fries soggy and undercooked. Just over it. They said kitchen backed up but this is not ok for the price we pay period. Disappointed that they are proving this to be the new norm. 😳

Great visit. Friendly attentive staff. Mgmt walked around checking on diners. Pork loin dinner was amazing, mashed potatoes, crispy Brussel Sprouts. Fish and chips another winner. Wings with sweet heat dry rub and blue cheese for dipping, yum. Mason Jar Fries as an appetizer could be a meal. The brisket is savory and the fries, hot crispy. Note to mgmt, have them rinse the veggies. They appeared dry with wings. And fried items, including fish, looked dark, dirty grease? Tasted fine. Beignets complimentary, again darkly fried.

The food here is good it’s not going to change your life or anything but it’s constantly good as is the service. We’ve eaten here a few times and never been disappointed. So far my favorite thing is the pulled pork tacos.

Clean restaurant and spacious for indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of great choices on the menu, Including options for children. Prices are on the lower end which is great and proportions are spot on for adults, children options seem to be quite large but it worked for my twins so no complaints. I ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich and although the chicken was cooked well, the sandwich itself lacked a little flavor. It was supposed to have dill mayonnaise but I couldn’t taste it and didn’t bother to ask for more. I would take my family here again

It’s hard to rate a 3, when I would normally give a 4, but I think recent years the service and quality of food has slipped. I used to come here with girlfriends regularly and came back for the first time in a while tonight. We had pretty poor service considering it was a slow night. The dessert and margarita was the highlight!
