This addition to downtown Fuquay was a great one. Friendly and attentive staff and a really great vibe throughout the restaurant. I’ve been here a couple times now and the food is spot on. The pimento app is great, homemade and with their own little twist. The Cuban was also delicious along with the Caesar that accompanied it. And that salmon salad is HUUUUUGE! Definitely a place I’ll frequent when I’m in the Quay!

Vicious Fishes is super close my home, which is convenient, but the reason I visited was purely because of the name. I picked up the humongous pretzel, tsunami wings, and a cheeseburger. Everything tasted yummy 😋, but I was super impressed with that pretzel, which took 3 days to eat! It still tasted perfect when heated up at home in the microwave. The hostess was very friendly and professional too, and I'll definitely go back.

Really like the seating areas and the outdoor patio looked nice. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. Menu has a good selection of food options. I tried the fish and chips. The fish was great but the chips seem to be the crumbs. Wife said the pork belly was very good and would order again. We found the food service was good and served hot. The beer was very nice and was perfect with the traditional bar food. The place was busy but there was no push to get us to rush.

We ate there on Sunday. We had a 20 minute wait but it was worth it. We could have called ahead so not bad for showing up without reservations. The food was delicious. The appetizer came out on time as well as our drinks. Our main dish was yummy. The service was superb! I recommend visiting this establishment. They have a patio area as well as a bar area.

Unfortunately there is no consistency. Our first visit was so good, I was literally craving it for days to come. Ordered the Cuban club with homemade chips. Waitress we had was very nice. Had our second visit and ordered the same thing. (Something odd to me is that the Cubans are pre-made but are always the last item brought out…?) This visit we had Tyler as our waiter and he seemed very annoyed/bothered to get us anything we were missing (just dipping sauce and lemons that were already previously asked for and not brought.) The Cubans this time were very sub-par. The bread was soggy and the bacon was not cooked, literally raw, this was for both Cubans our table ordered. Unfortunately, since the bacon is pressed in the sandwich with melted cheese I didn’t know until I ate half of it. At 7 months pregnant, raw meat is not something I intended to test and see if I got sick from.

Loved the ambience, service, food and drinks. We got a beer flight with El Tiburon, Into The Abyss, Ahab's Obsession, and Frenzi Mixed Berry, and absolutely loved them all. For food, we had the Vicious Fish and Chips which came with tartar sauce and coleslaw, and The Yardbird burger with a side of sauteed garlic spinach, and enjoyed both the orders. This place is very busy so I recommend making a reservation in advance. We had to wait for about 25 minutes before getting a table, but it was worth it.

They have a separate door for pick up. A huge bar area and outside seating through the back, passed the rrstrooms. Decent salad, soup and garlic spinach.

1/8/22.have visited a few times since my first visit and had to change rating from 4 to 5 stars. My husband and I tried the Coastal cob salad and the sesame salmon crunch salad. They were both delicious and we highly recommend. The coastal cob in particular is a huge salad! The atmosphere is inviting and decor modern. I had goat in the forest salad with Salmon. The flavor was very good! I will say it was a little challenging to eat. The spring mix had large leaves and it was in a shallow bowl which made cutting up the leaves difficult. I really enjoyed the salad overall and the salmon was grilled to perfection. My husband had fish tacos and they were ok. The cheesecake was delicious! The primary reason for 4 stars was for how long everything took.

First time customer here, and thoroughly impressed! Went here for Sunday brunch with my mom and we enjoyed everything. Great portions and pricing and our waitress was very attentive, there was a 30 minute wait (understandably) but it moved quickly. Great food, will definitely be back!

From the service to the food and drinks, we loved everything about our ladies night here. There was plenty of parking just outside and while it was busy, it didn't feel crowded or too loud inside. The toasted caprese appetizer was even better than we had hoped. My steak was absolute perfection as was the asparagus. My friends equally loved their dishes. Even the chocolate mousse was richer than we imagined it would be, we ended up boxing that to-go since we were so full. This was my first time here but it definitely won't be my last.

First time there, we were served by Cloe and were impressed with the friendliness and attentiveness, the food was amazingly delicious, the brisket rigatoni is a must have dish, the truffle burger was also very delicious. We will be back for sure

Pro’s: Sat quickly, cordial staff, decent food selection, food taste good. Con’s: food was a variety of temps (eggs hot, biscuits and gravy luke warm, tater tots cold, pancakes room temp, bacon cold), no drink refills (didn’t even check on us anywhere through the meal, just beginning and end), floor was filthy (could have filled a plate with lemons, fries, bits of paper, etc).

So glad I decided to have a late lunch here. It was the first time I had been to this restaurant and I will definitely be returning. I ordered a half turkey sandwich which came with brie and cranberry. It also came with the soup of the day which was spicy chicken Mexican style. The food was delicious and I ate everything. I tried their light at the end IPA which was also very good. My server was so helpful, attentive, and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Best tasting food downtown! Service can be hit or miss, but the food always make it worth it. Fish n Chips are generous portions. Burgers, wings, and the chicken sandwich were all great as well.

We've been to Vicious Fishes Taproom & Kitchen a couple times and definitely will be back. We had mixed results our first time there, while my food was great, my wife's burger was not cooked properly and was to pink for her. So they tried again, same thing, so they made a 3rd one for her to go. We returned back to the restaurant a few weeks ago and everything was great for both of us. The staff is very friendly and it's got a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

Food was delicious. I had a garden salad and added salmon. Husband had French Dip Hamburger with fries and said it was great. We split the Lemon Mist Cheesecake which was fabulous. Service was fast and waiter friendly. Great place to eat.

Your regular bar food menu. Service was very good and food tasty. The Scuba Shrimp are delicious.

We have visited this location several times for both lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed! The food is excellent and they always have a great selection of beers. I highly recommend the Scuba Shrimp, OctoFries and (when available) the crab corn chowder!

When they first opened the food here was amazing and different to other bar food in the area. Then they changed the menu to speak to a wider audience I guess. It changed more and more into just regular bar food. Today we decided to give them another try. We started with appetizers and never bothered with main entrees after that. The hummus starter was very "heavy" and the chips were way oversalted. The build your own bruchetta was tasty, with good quality ingredients but was a pain to "build" and eat. The bread was toasted to the point it would just shatter when you bit into it. The little mozzarella pearls just didn't want to stay on there and the arrugula was to long and stringy. Bring back your tex mex braised lamb shank for two and the two of us will be back. Now that was food worthy of your great beer.

I was pleasantly surprised by our lunch! We were seated quickly by a friendly host and greeted by our greater server. The menu is great, we enjoyed the Shrimp appetizer and the Parana ranch was delicious! The truffle burger was delicious and cooked perfectly, with mushrooms cheese and a perfectly toasted bun!

Went on a Sunday night. Had a party of 7 an had no issues getting seated. Wait staff was super friendly and attentive. The pork rind appetizer was tasty. If you are into burgers. I would highly recommend the Quey. Would definitely go back here again.

Good chicken and waffles. Not the best I’ve ever had, but close. The waffle has a good flavor and is crisp. A little hard in places. The chicken was a little dry and a small part was over cooked. The chicken and waffles are served with a flavorful maple syrup and a sweet hot pepper sauce on the side so you can adjust heat to taste. Mixing them cuts the heat. The sweet tea is very good. Also cuts the heat. My son had the French toast and my wife had a salad.

I haven't been here in a couple years and I'm happy to say the vibe is still top notch! The staff is friendly our server knew the menu front to back. They have a wide variety of beer, cider, hard seltzers, and non-alcoholic beverages. For the beer, cider and seltzer people, if you try something and you like it, I recommended asking about growler options. I love bringing their beer to bottle shares since I can't get it where I live. I got the BLT, which was pretty good. If you go for lunch, check out the specials!

This was our first foray to the Vicious Fishes. It will absolutely NOT be our last! The whole family tried something different and we all shared and were super pleased! The wings were excellent for an appetizer; big, well fried and sauced (we got the bbq). My daughter proclaimed the Hometown favorite burger to be excellent. My wife had the Vicious Fish and Chips and this was the hands down winner in a field of amazing food! The batter was amazing, and the fish was flaky and absolutely delectable! We came on a Thursday which is apparently Prime rib night, so I tried that, came with an awesome loaded baked potato and it was delicious! Somehow we also managed to all share the strawberry cheesecake for dessert and we all agreed it was 10/10 scrumptious! Also, all of the dressings and sauces tasted house made, as did all of the food. We had a hard time picking what to eat because so many of the offerings looked so good, so we will totally be returning! Also, our waiter was super knowledgeable and courteous! Do yourself a favor and give this Fuquay-Varina gem a try!
