Satta Pass is located in Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The nearest station is JR Okitsu Station. It is a famous pass that was also drawn in Ukiyo-e by Hiroshige Utagawa, a painter from the Edo period.

友達と一緒に楽しかった。 富士山が見えなくて残念だけど。 きれいなところだ。 Satta Pass is a magnificent viewpoint overlooking Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay. If the weather is clear, you can admire the majestic figure of Mount Fuji. A landscape view from here was drawn by Utagawa Hiroshige, a famous ukiyo-e artist of the 19th century who influenced European painters such as Van Gogh and Monet. Although nowadays a highway stretches through the superb view of Mount Fuji and the sea, the beauty remains unchanged from the Edo period. Leave your car in the parking lot, proceed up a narrow walking path, and eventually Mount Fuji will appear. Surrounding the walking paths are lush trees full of tangerines, a specialty product of Shizuoka, and the gentle landscape of Shizuoka City. Coppied

Super cool spot with amazing views of the water and Mount Fuji on clear days. You can also spot some of the cameras used to make a live Mount Fuji feed. easy hike with free parking and restrooms on site.

A peak of historical significance with amazing views. Try to match Hiroshige's iconic artwork! There is a landslide diversion which means the popular viewing point is not accessible at the moment, but a 15 minute detour of your hiking trail takes you very close to that iconic viewing point. This place is well hidden in the mountains. Very scenic places to watch Mt. Fuji and the ocean.

I took the Tomei Expressway from Tokyo to reach this location and was able to arrive about 30 minutes before sunrise. By the time I reached the outlook spot where you have the best view of Mt. Fuji, several other photographers had already shown up and had their tripods out waiting for the sun to rise. The small parking lot is free with onsite restrooms. Great place to capture shots of Mt. Fuji and to enjoy long-exposure shots as traffic zooms by on the Tomei Highway below the pass. ★★Check out the Pix4Japan YouTube channel for a short video highlighting the vibe of this location.★★

I hiked up on a rainy day and the view was still nice. Many orange trees along the pass.

You can get a very nice and clear view of Mount Fuji from Satta Pass. Although it was cloudy when I went, I could still get a view of Fuji san. I'll suggest you go on a very clear day and you'll get a reward for the little hiking you did up that hill. 😃

The weather didn’t completely work out for me and Mt. Fuji was hiding in the clouds. But I really enjoyed the walk from Yui station up to this viewpoint. There were many delicious oranges for sale along the way. One of the homeowners even offered some to me as a gift. The viewpoint area was not very crowded when I went. Everything was clean and well looked after and there was also a clean public toilet.
