I rarely give 5 star ratings. This is one of my favorite place to go and it deserved the rating. Been here for more than 5 times so far. Yes 5 times and never had a bad experience. Great place to go both during summer and winter. Great selection of drinks, main menu. Their food always been great. Regardless what you get as a main menu, don't miss to get their in-house chips. They are the best chips I ever had. Boar head burger, ribs are always best here. Service always been great here. Couldn't find one thing to complain about this place. I would definitely recommend.

Food wasn't bad. I was not a fan of the aged Cheddar sauce but that's probably just me. I had a Strawberry shortcake slushy that was delicious! Also had the barrel cheese steak. Service was pretty good. Our server was nice and quick on refills. I wound probably go here again if in the area.

We had a party of 6 to for a pre graduation lunch to celebrate my son. We had excellent service from the time we walked in. Our server was on point, making sure to answer all of our questions and make really good recommendations. All of our meals were excellent. A few of us went with the Barbeque Lunch Box while others had the Brisket Mac and Cheese and the Smoked Wings. We will definitely be back!!

Tonight’s service was OUTSTANDING!!! Brittany was friendly, quick, and super efficient during a really busy time. The food was delicious! I ordered the BBQ Mac and cheese topped with burnt ends, and collard greens. Perfect flavor and a great portion amount. The music playlist was nice too! This was the perfect way to celebrate our daughter’s birthday!

We went to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We ordered appetizers Crab Cake "Sliders" and Chorizo Queso. Chicken and Waffles, collard greens and fries. Signature Beef Brisket , Aged Cheddar Mac & Cheese. Strawberry shortcake. Anthony was our server. Food was good so as service.

• Great food, somewhat empty, service pretty quick, ambiance was a bit odd. • We initially were supposed to be seated at the bar, which we weren't really feeling. We did get moved to a spot in the restaurant, but seated behind a pillar (so the server couldn't really see us) and we were seated near a wine&paint event. Which is fine, but it was pretty loud, reducing the enjoyment of the ambiance. • Food tasted great, as did the drinks.

Eating here was a delight. The service was attentive and our food was absolutely perfect. I had the BBQ Mac and Cheese with Burnt Ends, as you can see I devoured quite a bit before I remembered to take a photo. My little sis is devouring the burger which was tasty and cooked to perfection. We sat on the patio which had a lovely brook and made the outdoor atmosphere perfect. Definitely check this place out.

After having a not so great experience at the Canal Winchester Barrel & Boar location, we decided to give this chain another chance and we’re so glad we did! Food was excellent, drinks were good and service was top notch friendly and accommodating. We still have to come for brunch.

It's a must-go restaurant. Our family has been there twice. The food is delicious, and the service is good. We especially love their Queso dip, and the hot mac is also worthy of trying. We enjoy their outdoor space a lot. You can also walk on the lovely trail nearby with your friends or family after a big meal. The only thing I would not recommend is their chicken and waffles. If you're not a sweet tooth, please don't give it a try.

The food was absolutely delicious! The Hawaiian was amazing. The wings were good. The colored greens were probably the best I've ever had! The view outside is gorgeous. I can't say enough good things about this place!

Stopped in on a Sunday around noon and we were seated right away. The guy seating us was very nice and personable; made my kids laugh! Service was quick and efficient, our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Kids LOVED their meals (taco and Mac and cheese) and their burnt ends (hash and sandwich) were amazing! I haven’t had good burnt ends and bbq since living in Texas. It was a fantastic Sunday outing and you cant beat the location. Will definitely be back!!!!

This place its nice spot side the riverwalk. Sit at the patio and enjoy this spring - summer. About the food this time try the burnt ends with mac and cheese, slaw. Exceeded my expectations the meat was so good ! My perfect margarita lives up to its name. I hope come back soon with my date and try more dishes.

Service was very slow, but the staff had pleasant demeanors. Our drinks were brought to the table AFTER our food, which took 45 minutes. The ribs were hard, green beans cold, burnt ends were chewy. Each item on the children's menus is individually priced, which is fine, but I was not expecting to pay 1.99 extra for lettuce and 1.99 for a tomato slice for my grandson's burger. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable, but that's the only positive.

Let's start with the Host; this guys welcome was invaluable. He made me feel like an old friend. I still wonder if I knew him from somewhere (BIG SMILE). Moving on to Sisi our server. We went here for dinner for the first time Sunday evening. Since we have never been I thought I would call since I saw on Google you can reserve tables. But when I called the phone number, it didn't work. So I reserved a table just in case. When we got there it was pretty slow so we were able to be seated right away even without the reservation. I told the waitress about the phone and she told the manager. He acknowledged it and called it himself and he was also confused on why it wasn't working. He thanked me for informing him so he can figure it out. I think right away I was impressed with the leather bound menus. So we ordered drinks and the fries which is below. They were very good! Then we ordered our food which came pretty quick. My brisket was flavored very well but not as tender as I would have liked. I tried my sons Mac and cheese and I was not a fan and neither was he. It was slightly undercooked with the noodles not soft all the way through and the falvor was off somehow. The waitress was kind enough to substitute it out for fries. My youngest liked the chicken strips though. My oldest almost finished that whole burger with the exception of the pickles. He's a little sheltered and has never had pickled cucumbers. I thought they were great though! My husband couldn't quite finish his ribs but throughly enjoyed them. Of course I had to comment on the BBQ being from the south we take BBQ pretty seriously and it definitely passed the vibe check. I definitely liked the original way more than the sweet and smokey. Overall, I highly recommend this place based on the service. Obviously it's important to have fantastic food but I will go to a level 2 restaurant with outstanding service ANYDAY!

The Barrel & Boar was interesting. Atmosphere was a sports vibe and nice. My Hawaiian chicken sandwich was good, but could have been great if they used thighs instead of breasts from the chicken, which made it a dry sandwich. Besides that it was a great experience due to the company I was dining with.

I had a BBQ pulled chicken sandwich with regular mac & cheese and a Caesar side salad.

Eat here, you will not be disappointed! The BBQ Mac and Cheese as well as the Shrimp and Grits (picture) were delicious. I'm excited to go back!

Great setting with a parking lot right underneath! Barrel & Boar sits on the river and it has a wonderful view . It was too hot for outside but inside was nice as well. Service is great! The server, the dining room manager - all friendly, attentive but not overwhelming. The food is good, the smell of barbecue in the air makes you hungry the minute you set foot in. I had the brisket Mac and cheese and while the brisket was good, the Mac and cheese was just ok. It filled the whole plate with a heap and was way too much. The chicken sandwich (Hawaiian?) was pretty good. There was a party going on and despite that our service continued to be the same level of attentive! Overall a greAt place and I'll come back!

Very good service and atmosphere! Outdoor seating is really nice, and our waiter, Lola, was very helpful. The only complaint we had was our fries were a little undercooked, and the food was decent!

We came in the middle of the week for lunch. Vicky was an amazing host. Food was excellent! And how can you beat outside dining near water? You can’t! Definitely will come back next time I’m in town.

Food was just okay, service was good, atmosphere was strange. I would not go back. Don’t waste your money, go to city barbecue instead
