    Very disappointing! If you come after midnight the waiting time is 5.30 minutes which is crazy. The Kensington location is closed at this time and there is only one doctor from midnight to 8:00 am. This is supposed to urgent care. This wouldn’t happen if KP was just service providers but they are also the insurance providers. That will allow them to control the customer going to another urgent cares. It’s not fare to wait for 6 hrs.

    My previous PCP Dr.Meena Hasan was very good in her work; she was very understanding. But she left Kaiser. The Urgent Care dept is quite bad. because the waiting times are far too long, 2 plus hours. One reception in this dept, at around 9pm on a Saturday was very rude and said that she could not give any type of approximate wait time. Michael, a lab technician who takes blood samples is very rude. I don't know his last name. So description is tall, well built African Male, around 50 years. He makes mild racist jokes. I went to give some blood samples for different tests. Unlike other techs who previously took samples in 3 or 4 vials, he took only one vial of blood. So, I asked him: is that all, aren't you going to take more? He very crudely said: You want some more?

    I take my parents to all their doctor's appointments at KP. Facility: great space, all the offices and bathrooms are well kept and clean. Staff: So far, everyone is pretty nice and helpful Doctors: Most have good bedside manners and knowledgeable Wait time: For most departments, the wait is 15 min or less, except urgent care, ophthalmology, and radiology, which may take up to 45 minutes. Overall: it's a great one-stop HealthCare service. The only downside is it is hard to get an appointment, especially with specialists . Depending on the type of appointments, you may not get one until 4-6 weeks later. For example, I have to call 6 months in advance to get an ophthalmology appointment for my mom.

    I went in this Monday, 03/01//2022 for a kidney sonogram. I can not express my gratitude towards the kind, loving, caring, and sincere hearts many of the employees, nurses, technicians, physicians, and etc. have had in the last 3 years of my experience with them! Thank you guys so much for all the incredibly hard work you do and thank you to Kaiser for hiring such amazing talent and incredibly hard working people. Thank you as well to my kidney sonogram specialist that day, I believe it was Ms. Talar, and to all the employees I have met in the past 3 years. God bless.

    After arriving, I was told to go to the wrong floor where I waited for 15 minutes. Nurse Hannah was so kind, that she actually called to find out where I was in the building. Provided excellent service. She was very congenial, funny, caring and professional. I then was seen by Dr Boyle who was very professional. She understood my needs and acted accordingly. I left feeling much better than I came in. Would recommend Kaiser to everyone.

    Hello, I had three appointments with Kaiser in Gaithersburg, MD. First of all, all of my appointments started on time 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🥳🥳❤️.The overall experience was great. The PSR (Michelle) was very helpful and nice. My US technologist was awesome, she explained my procedure and she was very nice..Sorry I didn’t get her name; the Tech that was there at 7am. The MRI (Ronnie) I can’t express how he was soooo patient with me and plus Ronnie took me before my scheduled appointment. I’m claustrophobic, yes I did take my medication but I still was afraid🙄😫. He was so great talking me through. The Best of the best was the RN (Jackie)⭐️, she heard and saw I was having trouble with having my MRI: Ms Jackie stayed in the room with me to comfort me with her hands on my shoulder and hair. Thank you so much , Ms Jackie. This is an example of a great teamwork. Have a safe and blessed week!!!🙏🏽❤️🙋🏽‍♀️🤩🤩 Awww 🥰 I forgot, Karen , my mammography technologist.     This location is amazing from the nurses to the doctor they are all amazing. Dr Vu Alexander was top-notch he was so understanding and knowledgeable. He gave us food and drink to my sister and I, since we have been at the location for close to 5 hours which is not his fault as I needed to get my ultrasound done before the doctor could see me and it was fully book yesterday but they were able to accommodate me.

    Nadine K was excellent in every way. She took lots of time to answer all my mothers questions. She was extremely patient with seniors and explained everything very clearly and thoroughly. All with a wonderful smile.

    OMG !! My nutritionist is the bomb!!! Exceptional woman! She was very patient and understanding!! Love the way she listen”s to you and treats you like a real person and not just a another client she is dealing with!!! She definitely has your back!! Thanks for all you do for us as kaiser patients!!!!

    Long wait for urgent care. Dismissed quickly and pressed to be prescribed medication without doing a full diagnosis of my issue. This was not a good experience and rather seek care elsewhere. I’ve been to 3 different kaiser locations and they are prescription happy. This particular hospital tho was a horrible experience. When walking in all of the hand sanitizer bottles were empty. The bathrooms were dirty with no tissue and unflushed toilets and the patient rooms were dirty and beaten up smh. Doctors seem to not care. I’m so switching my insurance.

    Nadine is always wonderful during our visits. She’s very accommodating and makes you feel comfortable. Go see her if you have any questions or have an update on your prescriptions. She really makes you feel completely confident on your choices for your eyewear needs. Make an appointment to see her at Optical/Vision Essentials at this location!

    Just awful. I drove over 40 minutes to have a dexa scan done. The directions said to get there half an hour early. I did but was taken back half an hour late, so wasted an hour. I got no directions, so I didn't know I wasn't supposed to take my calcium that day (The doctor told me to take it every day.) The nurse waited until I was undressed and wearing bloomers (!). There were no tops because she said they were all dirty. At that point, she asked if I'd had calcium that day and then said she couldn't do the scan and I'd have to make a new appt. and do the whole thing over again. I had paid the $20 copay with cash and was told I couldn't get it back because the person who took the money was on a lunch break (at 3:15), and I'd have to wait half an hour because she couldn't open the cash register. When I complained, she said, "Fine!" and took $20 out of her purse and threw it down. I pay over $900 a month for this?! Ridiculous. How does this place have a 4.5 on this site when the score is not even 2.5 on Yelp? Suspicious.

    Too long waiting. We saw less than 20 patients among that may be less than 5 kids in the waiting area and we were hoping to see doctors soon. We were here for our son’s ear infection prescription. It has been already 4 hours and we are still waiting and no idea how much longer. We can see the nurses all around but no doctors. We doubt if this facility has enough doctors on service for the day. We never had to wait this long with our blue cross blue shield doctors to prescribe one antibiotic.

    I had my annual visit with the OB/GYN and as usual Dr. O is the best and her assistant, Arminda is outstanding. She has bed side manners above any as she cared about my BP! It was so high and she talked to me in a very calm voice that assisted in bringing my BP down to its normal levels!! God is so good to have people like her on earth. I am so thankful!!!

    I am a person who does not like taking a lot of medication. Acupuncture with Dr. Lee is amazing. She explains exactly what’s gonna happen. She makes sure that I’m comfortable with whatever she’s doing. She makes suggestions for me as to how to improve my overall health. She is amazing!

    I just finished up over two months of physical therapy appointments here in Gaithersburg. My PT was Carolyn Sherwood. She was fabulous throughout. Always professional, caring, supportive, and knowledgeable, she knew just how far to push me. She was responsive and even once went the extra mile to contact me by phone when she thought of something she felt might be helpful to me but shouldn’t wait the full week until our next visit. I think the Kaiser system is pretty good and I’m NOT even a “real” Kaiser insured person. I came into the system due to emergency knee cap surgery performed by an excellent Kaiser surgeon, Dr. Julian Terrell. I actually have Blue Cross/Blue Shield but because a Kaiser doc performed the surgery I fell into their 90 day “global insurance” program whereby I’m a “guest” of Kaiser for the 90 days in order to preserve continuity of care. I could have opted not to do this and stay with BC/BS but I decided to take the risk and I was not disappointed. Thank you Kaiser.

    Nakiate at the laboratory was the best. She has a bright smile, welcoming you to the lab. She asked my son usual identification questions. Explained to him what she was going to do. She was very professional. She is the best to work with kids, meaning she knows how to take away the fear of kids getting lab work. Overall, she is a blessing to everyone that has met her. Keep up the smile, encouragement and good job.

    I have been coming to the KP Gaithersburg Alternative Medicine Department and having acupuncture performed by Dr. Michelle Lee for several months now. Dr. Lee is so pleasant but more importantly she is a wizard for my pain and nausea relief. Dr. Lee is extremely knowledgeable and an excellent listener. All the Staff are very helpful as well. The only drawback is fighting to get an appointment; Dr. Lee needs to be 3 people! I’m sure she must feel she has to be many times.

    Last Friday my son was treated by Doctor weeks, and I can confidently say that my experience was exceptional. From the moment I stepped into the clinic, I was greeted warmly by Linda, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Carla and Maria were very nice to my son while taking his vitals signs and he did not cry. Dr Weeks is an outstanding medical professional, her expertise and knowledge reflects in the way she treated my son. Thank you again

    My mother just had full knee replacement surgery with Dr Ilario, Dr Cover, Jackie at the reception, Caroline (PT), Jessica and Jennyline. The staff was really nice and caring and the doctors had excellent bedside manner. Great staff & great process.

    My father just had his thyroid nodule surgery done today. He told me he had great experience in the surgery center. Dr Terris was his surgeon, who was super patient and nice, explained the whole procedure thoroughly in a simple way for him to understand. My dad speaks very little English, so he needs the language line to help him. The communication was very efficient and smooth. Prep-op nurse Rina and Recovery nurse Christine were super nice and helpful. In summary, my dad speaks very high of the kaiser service.

    Recently completed hernia correction/repair surgery at Gaithersburg KP. The overall experience was 10 out of 10. The staff were all very kind, detailed and professional. Every question I had was answered with great clarity. The care provided was beyond my expectations. I could not have dreamt of a better team to perform this procedure.     On the November 27 2023, I arrived at the urgent care facility seeking prompt medical attention due to severe pain. Unfortunately, my experience was marked by an extensive wait time of nearly three hours, during which I consistently communicated the severity of my pain to the nursing staff on duty. I understand that urgent care facilities may experience busy periods; however, I believe that the extended wait time and the apparent oversight in responding to my pain signals are indicative of a lapse in the quality of service provided. I appreciate your attention to this matter and trust that you will take the necessary steps to address the issues raised in this complaint. I look forward to your prompt responses

    My Pre-Op Nurse, Melissa, was absolutely fantastic. I needed an IV, and I told her that I was not a fan of needles. She understood my anxiety about it. Melissa said she had a rule. If she couldn’t find a clear vein she wouldn’t stick me. I appreciated her rule. She did the IV and she was very comforting. I can’t thank her and Dr. Benjamin (the doctor who performed the procedure) enough for the excellent care they provided to me. Thank you again.

    We saw Dr. Saadia Husain in the memory care center. She was extremely patient and caring. She took my mom’s history and listened attentively. She was compassionate but firm with my mom about making some changes in her routine and allowing for help from her family. The offices were clean and spacious. The receptionist was pleasant and greeted us with a smile. Nurse Susan administered my mom’s memory test. She was very kind and made mom feel comfortable. I will come back here again!

    Karen at reception in the Podiatry office always greets me by name with a warm welcome and a big smile (even when we’re wearing masks). It’s been a long process of physical therapy and doctors visits following a sports injury.     Coralia was very pleasant and explained everything that was going on. She also provided a lot of pictures for me to take home as memories for my daughter which meant ALOT to me. This is my third time around doing the anatomy scan and she was by far the nicest and most professional. Kaiser is lucky to have her !

    Had to visit AUC at Gaithersburg this morning after injuring my elbow unexpectedly. From the check-in experience, to The triage nurse, appreciated the friendliness, guidance with directions and speed of that part of the process. I was able to get an X-ray before being seen by the physician, so that helped pass some of the time. Once I was taken back to a exam room, I was kept informed of the next step and the approximate wait. The physician was super friendly and efficient, and after a couple of stitches, I was happy to know that was all that was needed. It took a bit, I wasn’t the most urgent on the priority list,- the waiting room was full like it is everywhere these days, and, i appreciate how they worked me in with kindness and efficiency. Thank you to the entire AUC team!

    I was shocked to find out a long line to use the elevators and only two were working because the first one had not passed inspection. It was fixed two weeks later but the fact that did not pass inspection is very concerning. They can never keep up your appointments on time. Sometimes you can wait up to 45 minutes as happened to me on my last Thursday appointment for acupuncture at the Alternative Medicine department. I was told the delay was due because all 3 doctors are working on that day and that they only have 4 rooms and schedule appointments every 30 minutes. One can see that this is recipe for disaster. Actually all of my office appointments have been delayed which they should respect our time because if we are late for more than 15 minutes they make you cancel the appointment. Also the building is not well maintained for the age. I was shocked to see how well the Shady Grove center is kept compared to this one. What I learned from KP during our relationship with them since 1991, is that you have to be very careful on the doctor that is chosen for you. Just make sure that you find one that will fit your needs and personality and also remember that KP is not the only available insurance company.

    My visit was a wonderful experience! I had my annual eye exam. Ginger gave me good advice on how to order new prescription glasses and booked appointment same day! Dr Alan was very quick and thorough with her exam. Sumaiya was very patient helping me find the right frame within my budget :)

    The staff at the Ambulatory Surgical Center are top notch! My husband had his hip replacement there and I had surgery as well. The receptionist, Jackie, was professional and caring. The nurses, Jessica, Marinette, Nick, Candy and Jenny never stopped asking me how I was doing and what I needed. They showed both professional and warm care from start to finish!

    The best experience. I had the best people here at the Gaithersburg ambulatory center. Jennyline was an amazing recovery room nurse. Very attentive and had a great attitude. Ms. Lisa was amazing. My surgeon Ms. Smith… her bedside manner off the charts. The best experience.

    I just had orthopedic surgery at the Gaithersburg ambulatory surgery center. I can't speak highly enough about the entire experience. The entire staff, from the receptionist to the discharge nurse, were excellent at their jobs and treated me as if I was the only patient. The professional and calming atmosphere allayed any anxiety about having surgery. It's obvious that the staff genuinely enjoy their jobs and effectively function as a team with their coworkers. Special kudos to Dr. Julien. I am grateful for his care.

    I had a great experience with the optometry department when I took my 6 year old daughter for her appointment. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly with my daughter who was initially little nervous about her appointment. Ginger Marquez was very professional and kept my daughter at ease throughout her appointment. I would highly recommend this place!!

    I just saw Nurse Mina Singh at neurology Gaithersburg She taught me how to administer a shot for migraines. My last month shot was waisted since I didn’t know how to administer it. She was very kind and professional. She guided me and gave extra tips for giving myself the shot. I truly appreciate her help and guidance. So glad Kaiser has people like her! Best Teena desor

    Nadine K in Optometry is amazing. Nadine has been helping my family with glasses for about 6 years now and she is simply the best. Nadine goes out of her way to make sure we have the best possible experience with our glasses. It is hard pleasing teens and she always manages to please mine with the perfect fitting and great glasses. She goes far above her job duties and works very hard to ensure the total satisfaction of Kaiser patients. Bravo for a job always well done. Nadine truly helps Kaiser thrive.

    I had an excellent care from Kaiser Gaithersburg during my surgery. Everyone was attentive and caring especially my recovery room nurse. Jennyline. She was very much attentive and compassionate while I was in the recovery room. More so , she provided a detailed discharge instruction post surgery care. Great sense of humor that made me laugh and relaxed during my stay!

    The facility is very nice and clean. Staff in the surgery center were warm and reassuring for the mother who’s son is having surgery for the first time. The post op nurse we had was outstanding although they were all very good. Pharmacy staff were nice and provided what we needed and the wait was short. That’s always a plus. Overall it was a good experience

    I scheduled a video call this afternoon and the Dr ordered me to have tested for Influenza & Covid . The Doctor said I had to do it today. That was quick and convenient. I went to Kaiser in Gaithersburg urgent care.. The person who checked me in told me to wait in the waiting area. I told her I already have an order for influenza & covid test. But she said no,no wait amd see the Nurse.. I’ve ended waiting for 4 hours after Ive seen a Docotr who was very pleasant & helpful. She apologized to me for waiting for 4 hours which I could have gome directly to the lab. Why is the person who check me in at the urgent care doesnt know the protocol. Not only she wasted 4 houts of my time amd my husband’s time, she also asked for a $30 co-payment. I love Kaiser, all the Doctors & Nurses. My whole family are all with Kaiser. Pls train yourr Receptionist well so we can prevemt this from happeming. again.
