Cute old castle, with a village attached. They have a beautiful rose garden, the aroma from it goes way far around the place. Down the castle is a small village if one can call it so, or just an ancient tiny Town I'd say. Small coffee shops and restaurants every where you look. Quite interesting to see the area. In summer you can go for a swimm right next to the castle. Zurich lake a clean and rather warm.

Rapperswil Castle dates back around 1200 to 1220 AD and the name of the place Rapperswil is often referred to as the „town of roses“ (Rosenstadt). To get to the castle you can walk through old Rapperswil and climb a wonderful set of stairs up to the castle as we did it today.

"Castle on the Hill" - Ed Sheeran. Being from Africa this was my first Swiss castle experience, and it didn't disappoint! Beautifully positioned castle with gorgeous architecture. This castle also has an interesting history, it was built by the Polish and conquered by Canton Zürich. Beautiful views of lake Zürich and the surrounding areas, you can also see the spectacular mountain range on a clear day. A must see if you are in the area, a classic piece of Swiss history - perfectly preserved.

Great location for events and parties. The castle looms impressively over the ancient town and permits magnificent views from its rooms. The management and staff are very nice and go beyond what could be expected of them to satisfy their guests needs. Food and catering complete the experience.

A beautiful Swiss castle in Rapperswill-Jona, awesome for a little walk through the city! Also surrounded by a lot of restaurants. You shouldn't miss this view, we were able to take some nice pictures! There is also a little deer park, which is very well-kept, as well as other little fun gimmicks for children. Can only give five stars!

The castle Rapperswil from 1220 towers on a rocky outcrop that extends far into Lake Zurich and is thus protected from three sides. At that time a strategic point to monitor the shipping traffic on the lake and the transit over the seedamm. Today, especially the castle park with a lake view high above the Rapperswil old town and the deer park is very popular. Tip: the sunsets are especially nice here

Having dinner there with a bigger group is always an experience. Love it!
