This place has the best fried chicken and waffles you’ll ever eat! The chicken is crispy, tender and moist and is cooked to perfection. The waffles complimented the chicken perfectly! Lots of other yummy items on the menu we’ll be back to try. Don’t forget to get the banana pudding here!

Not only is the food delicious but the staff are so nice, and I loved the music playing, made for a great atmosphere. My Mom got fried pork chops, baked beans, pasta salad, and cabbage. I got a breakfast plate with eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, salmon croquettes. We split a waffle and just had to try the banana pudding, which was the old fashioned kind (a personal favorite) and so good. The portions are a nice size, didn't feel like they were too big or small and had leftovers because we wanted to try so much. The waffle is definitely one of the best I've ever had. Also the salmon croquettes were better than any I've ever had and I grew up on my grandma's (can't tell her I found some better). Everything was seasoned well, and just perfect. We didn't get to try the chess squares because they were out, so I already know we'll be back for those. The soda was served in a bottle, which was a surprise but not a big deal. I'm only mentioning for those that might not like that. Highly recommend and already know I'll be back.

Martin's is one of those local, family owned restaurants that has the potential to be a local staple. The service is good and the the servers truly care about your satisfaction. Their menu consists of some classic southern comfort food with a few nice twists on traditional items. That said if you have to start somewhere start with the pasta bowls. The homemade cheese sauce is very good and the pasta was cooked al dente. It was topped with a hand breaded chicken tender which was juicy and flavorful. The portion was very generous as well (true for all the items we ordered). The chicken and waffles were very good as well. Brought out fresh with home made waffles and Nashville hot tenders coated in a homemade sauce. The sauce itself was a little more oily than i would have preferred but flavor and spice were good. Lastly we tried the Nashville fried burger.... Yes.... Fried.... Burger. It is a juicy and well seasoned beef patty that is hand breaded and deep fried. Then it is dipped in the house Nashville hot sauce and topped off with their homemade cheese sauce, pickles and onions. This was not a healthy meal.... But man was it tasty. The burger had a satisfying crunch and the cheese sauce gave it a great creamy balance to the hot sauce.if i could change one thing it would be an upgrade to the bun. It would be awesome to see something homemade and more dense but if not any upgrade would be welcome. Overall we will be coming back to Martin's soon and looking to try a few other items but if you are in the area and looking for some comfort food i recommend a visit.

Hands down amazing food and service. I recommend stopping by for a good bite and chat with the folks who run the shop. I had their Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles - and let me just say - SO DELICIOUS. Crispy fried chicken that was still so juicy and tender, with a delicious Nashville hot seasoning all on a Waffle. They nailed it!

Went for a lunch today with my coworkers! BEST chicken tenders I have ever had in my entire life! The waffle was just as amazing! Definitely stop by and give it a try! We will be back this weekend for brunch! Great job y’all!

The food is awesome. As a truck driver, I rarely get away from truck stop choke and pukes, so this was a real treat. Met the owner/manager, very friendly staff. Got to get the Nashville hot waffle. Wouldn't change anything about it. Have this gem of a restaurant marked for when I can stop by again.

Stopped in for Sunday brunch on our way back home to Cincinnati because the reviews were great - so glad we did! Cute and clean with kind and attentive staff, and the chicken and waffles were sooooo good! We'd definitely come again on a future Nashville trip!

Best chicken and waffles I've ever had. It's so hard to find a waffle that's not soggy and gross, and we took a gamble getting takeout and driving ten minutes away but the waffle was still in tact and delicious. My friend and I got it Nashville hot and while I'm not usually a fan of super spicy things, it was so good I just kept eating it. The flavor was so worth the pain and now I think I like spicy things?? Just definitely have a drink nearby. We got their fruit iced tea which was very good. The woman at the front was super personable and it's truly a local restaurant.

Visited this little place for lunch. Had a decent size menu with meat n veg options along with sandwiches and sides. I had their specialty chicken and waffles with the tenders Nashville hot style. It also proved to be the priciest on their menu. The tenders were good and fresh and are offered at only one heat level so beware if you arent too keen on spicy food. The waffle tasted fresh and was crisp and the syrup helped to take spme of the sting away and and sweetness to it all. It was slow the day we went but yet the service was just okay. It started off good but eventually had to wait and keep flagging someone down for a drink refill. In short I would go back to try something else on their menu lnkw that I know what to expect. Not a bad place at all but nothing to really rave about.

The guys at work said I had to try it before I left. I looked them up and tried to order what/how they suggested on line. Within a couple of minutes of submitting they called me, clarified, and advised this nubie. I was way off and when I went inside to pick up my order. They took time to advise on how to fix everything for eating. Ladies did not steer me wrong and so happy I listened! I will be back! Perfect after a day of teaching! I got the loaded fries and the chicken and waffle-Nashville hot! So very good! And if you think you don’t need extra cheese sauce you’re wrong. We all need that extra golden magic!

Nice black owned family restaurant with some of you favorite comfort foods. Nice cozy family feel with your favorite uncle's music playing in the background. The special homemade croquette sauce and house made chips is simply amazing. Super friendly and the wait wasn't long for our hot and fresh food to come to the table. If you have never had REAL Nashville hot chicken this is the place you need to come to. Food is priced perfectly.

I’m not from Tennessee so I’m thinking the closer you get to Nashville, the hotter “Nashville Hot” gets, definitely hotter than what we have in Indiana when I order it there. Oh, also my first chess square! Very, very good! I wouldn’t hesitate to visit here again.

Was in town for an event and always try to find non chain restaurants when we travel. So glad we stopped to eat at Martin's. We were immediately greeted at the door and had a great experience with how friendly and helpful they were.. Two of us ordered the Nashville hot chicken and waffles and another a cheesy bowl. Best chicken and waffles and I was told cheesy bowl was great too. Chicken was cooked perfectly and waffles complimented the flavor of the chicken nicely. Will definitely come back if we are back in the area again. Definitely recommend this place.

Great experience. This was our first time eating here. I couldn’t have asked for better food or service. We had the chicken and waffles. Also the kids had chicken strips and fries. We all loved the food. We also talked some of their baked beans. Those were some of the best if not the best baked beans I have ever eaten. The owner was very nice and helped us with anything. They have the best sweet tea I have ever had also. I meant to get a to go cup of it and forgot. They are off the beaten path but well other the trip. Hope to go back soon.

Hands down best chicken n waffles, and if you can stand the heat I'd definitely recommend the Nashville hot! My husband is not a fish/seafood person at all but said he could eat the salmon patties every day.

Just good down home food. I had delicious chicken strips. I plan to try the hot chicken bowl next time! My husband enjoyed his catfish. The staff is very friendly, good service. I'll definitely be back.

The absolute BEST chicken tenders I have ever had in my life! They taste like bone in chicken breast in flavor and texture. The waitress is very friendly and great about serving everyone. It's also very uncrowded, especially considering we stopped by at 11 AM on a Saturday morning. The only downsides I would give it would be not great parking and dirty restrooms, but that's acceptable to me for a really great hole in the wall place like this with some of the best food I have ever had.

All family business super friendly had a great conversation with the owner I ordered the chicken wings and greens the wings were very meaty the greens were tasty we were talking about fish and he surprise me with a piece of the catfish to try out and I must say I should have ordered the catfish the chicken was good but that catfish was on another level the sweet tea was good I will definitely be back to try the chicken and waffles and also to get me more catfish I will bring my wife along next time if you are ever in the Gallatin area during the that they are open I would definitely recommend you coming to give this place a try.

Aretha and her crew are absolutely amazing. The gals asked if the food was good and we had to tell them it was not… because it’s amazing! So friendly here and we will be back as often as we can be!

This is my favorite restaurant in the greater Nashville area. I don't get to eat here as much as I would like since they moved to Gallatin, but I send my husband for take out some. The Martins are wonderful people and are so kind to all who come to eat at their restaurant. I love the family atmosphere they have established. It is a kid-friendly place and they have something for everyone on the menu. My personal favorite is the Nashville hot chicken cheesy bowl. It is so delicious!
