We went to Okini Restaurant solely based on the amazing Google reviews they have. And we were not disappointed! The owners were very nice and friendly! They went out of their way to make sure that all the mosquitos were gone. They also tried their best to talk to us even though they struggle with English. They make the whole experience as special as it can be. The food was absolutely delicious. And the portions were big! Definitely an unforgettable experience and if we get a chance – we‘ll be back.

My boyfriend and I arrived here not really knowing what to expect, but we were very pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Kottu, which tasted like a stir fry, all the vegetables were incredibly fresh and the garlic flavour was lovely. My boyfriend ordered a chicken curry, which was a huge portion of rice and six different pots of toppings, including the chicken in curry a sweet sauce, different veggies, seaweed, tortillas and sauces. So tasty and filling, for very cheap prices (we also got a milkshake and fresh orange juice for a total of just $4.50 each). The owner, Amanda, was very friendly and we will certainly be coming back. Not just for the food, the lights and decor made us feel like we were in a magic garden.

The food is delicious and plenty! She prefers to be informed before you come via WhatsApp, as she cooks from scrap and it can take up to 1h, if you come spontaneously. Her english is not very fluent, but communication worked and she makes you feel very much welcome! :)

At the beginning we were a bit unsure because of the few reviews but it was absolutely worth it. One of the best curries we tried in Sri Lanka. The pineapple juice was also very fresh. The owner always had a smile. It is a lovely Sri Lankan family that cooks delicious food.

This family run establishment is very sweet and welcoming. We went for dinner & initially we thought we might have been in the wrong place or they were closedbecause the garden entrace was dark. Roti was made fresh, so it did take a bit of time for the food to arrive.

Amazing food! Chicken rice and curry came with so much extra than just chicken and rice. Some free fruits from the garden and nice music. Please go here!
