All the work crew were really nice. Comfy bed, clean room and hangout area. Food was good and the cocktails we're delicious. Would recommend

The Back Pack Hostel is a lovely place stay close Galle, a 10 minute bus ride away, where you can relax eating very good local food and drink cocktails by the beach listening to great tunes and the waves of the sea

Great place for a vacation with your friends plus with a Great view. The owner of this hostel is very nice person and friendly one. We booked 4 persons room and it is very much worth the price and has a lot space. I would definitely recommend this place if you are planning a vacation with a tight budget plus a sea lover.

Fantastic little hostel by the beach! Very tasty food and a good selection of drinks - happy hour for cocktails between 17.30-18.30. Excellent service with a very friendly team which made us feel so welcome. It was raining a bit during our stay but spent most of our time in the bar area which was so welcoming and cosy! Clean room and very comfortable bed. Fabulous view, with great music and an awesome vibe! Ooh there is also a dog, Tuk Tuk, who is so cuddly and chilled! We had such a lovely time there!

Pretty awesome and calm place. If u wanna stay a nice weekend away from the outside world. This is the best place. The have clean rooms, good hospitality, good pvt stay.

Our favourite bar in all of Sri Lanka! The owner is a local lad who set the bar up and you can see he has put his heart and soul into it! The setting, food and service and all completely wonderful. Set on the beach you can relax with a book and an ice cold beer. Mellow reggae music complements the crashing waves perfectly. In the evening they do a happy hour on their insanely good cocktails and this times perfectly with the sunset. The menu offers seafood, some traditional Sri Lanka dishes and sandwiches/ pastas at good prices and it’s soo delicious. My partner had the jumbo prawns and I had a creamy seafood pasta. We also had lunch here twice and enjoyed a fab seafood salad and the devilled prawn dish, and some out of this world jumbo prawns caught that morning. This place is so good we just kept coming back! One to not miss!!

What a wonderful reggae bar at the beach between Hikkaduwa and Galle, cool chilled out vibe and 2 for 1 delicious cocktails from 17.30-18.30 which effectively made our wonderful Mojito's about £1.50 each !!!!! what a treat as the sun went down on another beautiful day

One of my favourite places in all of Sri Lanka. Beautiful people and beautiful energy in this hostel. They serve delicious food and great cocktails. The ambience of the place is to die for. Quiet and right by the sea. If you’re looking to switch off and just chill out away from all the noise, this is the place to be. Take a quick dip in the ocean when you feel like it and just sit back and relax on their beanbags as you watch the beautiful sunset. 10/10 would recommend this to everyone out there.

Amazing place at the ocean. Friendly staff, nice people, amazing location, good food and drinks. The location is directly at the ocean. The waves are wild and it is an absolutely stunning place. Just had 3 days and I definitely wish to come back again. I have loved every single second here. It is beautiful and amazing. Must-visit-place - Do not miss it and go.

Love this place. It's right on the beach, has a lovely owner who's super friendly and focused on giving his guests a good time. Very nice vibe with chill area & a bar. & Only a 10min bus/ tuktuk drive from Galle Fort.

Took advantage of the downtown Back pack beach hotel to walk to dinner, check out a couple galleries, and have drinks. It was great. Service top notch as always. Highly recommended.

A very nice hostel with the most kindest people. They make amazing cocktials, the bar on the beach is really beautiful, and the food is great. The rooms are basic, but fits all the needs for a backpacker. It's a lit further of Galle, but the beach is all private to you, and you will be in Galle in 10 minutes with a Tuktuk (pay around 500). A must go if you want to visit Galle and the surroudings!

Great little Reggae Bar/Restaurant with lodgings available, although I didn't stay here I ate breakfast and dinner here regularly as the food was amazing and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive and even joined us having shots of the local Arrack on our last night, a definite must try if you are in the area.

We had an amazing time. The host and the team was super nice. Their cocktails are really good. Definitely we will be visiting again.

Most amazing hostel I went in my life. Just the location is beautiful , best chill vibes and best sunset and days looking the ocean while having a juice . The staff was the sweetest ever and yes I supposed to stay 4 days I stayed one week and half. You will not feel to move from there. Just the Wi-Fi and signal are really bad for the location.

I loved this place. Full of good Vibes. One gets really yummy food and good cocktails. Best place to runaway from crowded places and relax here.

Very cool funky ambience. Excellent location, as it is right on the Bara Beach. Food-wise, a simple restaurant, as most of these shacks on the beaches in Sri-Lanka are. They are operated by locals who are not trained chef. So, you get basic simple food. These places are to be enjoyed for their location & amazing beach ambience that they provide with a beer 🍺. Very reasonable prices.

i love this place! my favourite beach of sri lanka, quiet and great connections by bus anywhere you want to go, the stop is just outside the hostel. madura is so kind and is great at useful advice about the area. all the staff are friendly and it feels like family almost straight away. could not reccommend enough. was supposed to stay 2 nights and ended up staying 6 and kept coming back throughout my trip!

It was our first stay in Sri Lanka and we loved it! The owner is a special person <3 he can read your wishes and needs out of your eyes, he really takes care of you! Sometimes the WiFi was not the best - however internet for your phone is cheap so it doesn't matter. The beach is nice for a walk and a swim. The party's are spectacular and if you go to sleep early your room is quiet and we had the closest room to the bar. If you are close you need to visit at least for a drink or two :p or get something to eat. The staff is really kind and friendly. I hope I get the chance to visit again.

I stayed there for one night with my friend. it was great experience staying there. we stayed separate rooms having two double decker beds. washrooms and bedroom is clean. towel is provided. beds are comfortable. reading lights to the beds and wall fans are available. Even though they have personal plug point to each bed but those for only eu plug. Their open restaurant to the beach is very nice and active until midnight. Breakfast was really good. We had Sri Lankan style breakfast. owner was very friendly. This places much popular with foreign tourists.

We just walked in there. Got a really nice dorm room. The location is perfect. Beach Access, music as well as beer and nice cocktails. Worth going for dinner and drinks. Sleeping there is also recommended.

one of best place to enjoy. very clean rooms and wash rooms . best for having a fun with family or even with the friends too . i had a chance in there it was so amazing. i was sleep with a noise of sea waves wow its incredible.

The best place in Galle! Delicious food and unique atmosphere. (And the cocktails too!!) The bartender is a great guy! MUST visit in Sri Lanka!
