Best meal bar none in Sri Lanka. Lovely young couple made this home a few months ago and now serving up excellent, locally sourced food. Seared tuna in ponzu was best I've had since Sanderson hotel in London. Fish and chips better than Heston does in his pub in Bray. Also have a great cocktail maker who does a superb mojito!

The food was delicious, the service was good, friendly and attentive, the restaurant is located next to the Koggala Beach, in addition to being 800 meters from the lake of Koggala, it is a good place to relax, have chairs to relax on the beach, good music with a good atmosphere

We had a great last night at Handsome Sardine! Tuna and chicken burger tasted so fresh and good! Service was very attentive! Would definitly come back.

This is THE best restaurant in Koggala. Don’t let Tuk Tuk drivers drop you off at Wiener Dschungel and go here, you will find magnificent food, fair prices and a beautiful view on the ocean.

Absolutely love this place. Stayed nearby for 5 days and came by once a day once I found the place (day 2). Run by a great couple who are always willing to give advice and educate. Staff are lovely and always smiling. Menu isn't huge but everything is executed wonderfully (more then just grilled seafood and soggy fries. Also if its on the menu the pasta with prawns is super tasty, which i know.. Is surprising). Drinks are fantastic and you can hang out here all day. There are lounges on the beach with umbrellas you can relax under with a drink and then head up to a table whenever you feel peckish (which is what I did most days when i was too lazy to do anything else). Support this great couple and check the place out.

THIS IS A TOP RESTAURANT. ONE OF THE BEST ON THE COAST. On a beautiful, quiet expansive beach of golden soft sand (Kogala)... a short TukTuk from overcrowded and underwhelming Wijaya and Unawatuna). Lovely, friendly and knowledgeable staff and owner who goes out if his way to educated and answer questions. Small but perfect menu all totally fresh and delicious. We tried most of the menu and could not fault the prep and cooking. The drinks were delicious too. It’s certainly one of the best places on the coast here and deserving of praise and customers.

I used to come handsome sardine to take rest ans swim after my work . So nice french / srilankan couple cooking good quality food with their heart * Quiet , nice musique , one of the best beach in this coast . Good service . Love this place * Also for business meeting is nice place . I recommended.
