Professionally managed restaurant catering mostly to Sri Lankan tourists and for good reason - well priced delicious food, perfect location beach side, excellent service and friendly staff. It can get really busy on sunny weekends.

We did a fishing trip in the morning and enjoyed our catch of the day deliciously prepared in the sunrise seafood restaurant. Also the other food was delicious and the place at the seafront just stunning:-)

Portions are good, it's tasty and cheap. But the service is bad, they totally forget about you ))) so you have to go to the bar yourself. It's next to the water, which is nice, but it's also right on the parking spot. Which makes it not very pleasant.

Nice end of the beach place for a bite. Fries were good and service really good. Pretty laid back atmosphere since it's slightly away from mad crowds. But I'm pretty sure it must be getting equally crowded in peak times.

Hidden gem The best plate of seafood ... And salads we've had in Sri Lanka. Very fresh and flavourful dishes. And reasonably priced too. The man running this place is the sweetest too. Just worth keeping in mind you might need to take off your shoes and cross the water if the tide is up to access this place, situated at the end of Unawatuna beach, right by the temple.

This restaurant serves fresh seafoods, they will present them before cooking. Their lobster is very delicious. Highly recommend seafoods platter which has fresh crabs, calamaris, tuna fish and lobster 😍

A nice place with good food and a beautiful view of the bay for a reasonable price. We ate here with the two of us at the end of the day. We ordered calamari and shrimp curry. The food tasted good and was enough for the both of us. The host was really nice and we had en nice conversation with him. They were quick wilt the food and bringing our drinks. The location and the atmosphere is great. You eat on the beach with candles and some lights with a view of the bay. Compared to a lot of other restaurants this place is really affordable for the food they offer. I would definitely recommend this place.

Best spot on the beach, great views, monkeys in the trees, far enough away from the crowds We ate here most lunch times, good size glass of chilled wine, friendly staff, good food. They promote their sea food which we didn't try but their simple dishes were excellent. We tried omelette, devilled potatoes, chicken chop suey, chicken noodles, all delicious. They even take credit cards. What's not to love

We went there for our dinner but it was a terrible experience... We waited more then 2 hours and we still had no food! Something definitely went wrong in the organisation. The drinks were also served late. The barman was also very unfriendly and rude. The other employees were friendly but unexperienced. We left the place with a bad mood, other people had the same experience. I hope the management read this and change some things there. We definitely do not recommend this place! Think twice before you go there, the worst experience in Sri Lanka.

Wonderful place, we had dinner here several times. Delicious food, large portions, tables right by the sea, very atmospheric lit torches and candles. The food is brought quite quickly and the service is decent. I recommend to visit this place for those who want to have dinner in a pleasant atmosphere on the beach.

I was with my family , 2 young kids. While they were having a dip in the sea I asked them for a table for 4 . They didn't want to give a table near the shore even they were unoccupied . Given a back table . Wasn't happy at all. They flat refused giving me the alternative of the table near the shower. So if you are a local beware you are likely to get a table with a view as you are not white. Food was average . Fish devilled was full of sauce. Chicken f. ,rice was bland.

I took the mixed grilled seafood platter: exceptionally delicious! A lot in the plate with a succulent sauce and fresh salad. And what about the location: table on the beach, the ocean couple of meters from you, a quiet environment as it’s the only restaurant around... What else ?!

Good place to have a bite after a swimming. If you stop your car too closed to the beach, it's bit tricky when you move back.

Great beach restaurant with generous plates and without the 10% fees. I tried different dishes all was tasty and better than others restaurants on the beach. One star less because the service could be better and friendlier.
