Best thing is the music. Mango juice was not fresh - I am willing to bet my last rupee that they either mixed water or juice from a box. Rotti was very spicy - my wife could barely eat it. I had the fish Kottu and it was mediocre / decent. For a place that looks that simple, the bill was quite high. Do yourself a favor and look on google other places.

Magic in the kitchen! One of the best restaurants ever! Once we tried food at Tropical Lounge we abandoned eating anywhere else. Everything is amazing there – the food, interior decor, music, atmosphere and the owner. You can’t go to Unawatuna and not eat there. And drinking their passion fruit mojito is an absolute must. :)

Best lime juice in SriLanka! Papaya juice is ok. Breakfast is also nice, I liked pancakes

Despite great music and nice lounge area I was very disappointed. The service is inattentive both in terms of the waiter and shisha guy. Shisha is average but they charge additional 300 rupies for additional one charcoal! The fresh juice was not 100% made of fruits. They added so much sugar/syrop that made the juice taste terrible. Finally shisha guy wanted to charge us additional 300 rupies just for the lounge area for one table! Don't recommend this place.

Came here multiple times after dinner during our stay at Unawatuna and really enjoyed it. Can only speak for the cocktails we had - which were reasonably priced (400-850 rupees) with really generous amounts of alcohol. Tried a variety and they were all proper tasty - mojitos, sex on the beach, daiquiris. The mango daiquiris and the passion fruit daiquiris are especially delicious. This place also has a nice cushioned lounging area out front, and the staff are friendly too.

It is an average street restaurant. Althoug we were the only guests, besides 3 Australians, we get served very slowly. Also for drinks they needed too much time. When we ordered ice tea, they brought us warm black tea. When we complaind, they brought again cold black tea with ice. But for start you get rambutan, which was a nice gesture. Other food was tasty with very big portions.

Love the place. Super good food, sympathic cook. Prices are better than at the most places around.

Had a really good curry here for a very fair price. Wasnt that busy but we were in really late. It isnt an upscale place but if you like local restraunts, this one is a go. The guy waitering, Lahiru, really took care and was great for conversation making. Enjoyed it very much.
