This nature trail is inside the kanneliya rain forest. We reached by bus to kanneliya udugama then walked 2km to the entrance of forest. The summit the mountain it took nearly 4 hours then it started raining. Descending took nearly 1.5 hours.

~ 2km hike from Small Kabbale Mountain Peak. Not recommended for old or unfit. (but it's okey if you are confident todo ) Climbing is bit difficult, and there is no path, you have to follow the instructions from the guide. Top view is really awesome and fresh air is guaranteed !. Visitors welcome, you people love the hike!

Superb hike, takes about 5-6 hours to complete full hike inclusive of anagimala falls. Having a guide is compulsory. Above moderate difficulty level.

Nice experience when travel through forest. leaches are everywhere ☺️. You can see some areas of downsouth at top of the mountain. But there are no very nice viewpoint. around 3km to top if you come back through circular road Kabbale mountain- Anagimala falls full trail around 10km

This is first place I could see the sea on the peak. Hike is not much hard. Very beautiful in mid of the forest. Lots of leeches are their and very hard to escape. Use canvas shoes covered with soap very well.

You can't get there on your own. Upon arrival you arrive at the reserve. There are many different places in the reserve. Entrance is 1200rs per person, but you definitely need to take a guide for an additional 1300rs When we arrived, we were immediately told that for some unknown reason we could not go to the peak. In general, only a small part of the park is accessible. And we definitely need a guide, they won’t let us in without a guide.

Relatively easy climb. A guide will take you thru the journey. The whole climb will take 6-7 hours including rest. Be ready for loads of leeches

Very challenging hike!

Amazing hiking place in Galle district. But there is no 360° view point on top of the mountain. Leaches attack high when there is raining. However remember to use leach protection. It it 5.5*2Km hike. Take a 1-2 liter water and you cam refill from small water sources.

Very beautiful .

LEECHES! Be careful. Among the grass and foliage. Wear closed shoes and higher socks. If it sticks, after you disconnect it the blood does not stop for about 30 minutes. And the smell of blood causes even more leeches to appear. So grab a Band-Aid. And it’s so very beautiful! But I won't go to the rainforest anymore)
