The beaches of Postcard Galle are another major attraction. Unawatuna Beach, just a short distance from the fort, is a crescent-shaped beach with golden sand and clear blue waters that are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. Jungle Beach, located within the Galle Fort premises, is a secluded cove with calm waters and a serene atmosphere, ideal for relaxation and sunbathing.

Had a peaceful and relaxing stay at the Postcard Galle. The rooms are very spacious and modern, the surroundings and gardens immaculate and the pool was a welcome break from the heat. The beach is a short walk away too. My stay was made even more enjoyable and hassle free by the excellent staff. They were attentive, accommodating and willing to help in any way. I will definitely return here!

The location is very convenient to get to Galle fort, about 10 min. We would definitely recommend this place to others who don’t want to stay on the busy streets of Galle.

What sets The Postcard Galle apart is its seamless integration of modern amenities with a touch of traditional elegance. The fusion of contemporary design and classic elements creates an ambiance that is both timeless and cutting-edge. I had the pleasure of attending a private lunch at The Postcard, and it was a truly unforgettable experience. The attic suite is breathtaking!

Unmatched Elegance: Staying at this boutique hotel was a journey into a world of unparalleled elegance. The rooms were tastefully designed, and every aspect of our experience was infused with luxury. The staff's dedication to creating a perfect stay was truly remarkable.

We highly do NOT recommend this hotel. We have been robbed from our money on the last night of the stay by the staff. Money was taken from our locked room. The manager did nothing. I WARN everybody who would like to book it!!!

I only stayed for one night, but I really loved this place. From the moment I arrived at their gate until I walked out of it the next day the staff were incredibly friendly and provided exceptional service. The place itself was wonderfully decorated, from the rooms to the dining room and the giant sitting room. I was there on a quiet evening but I imagine that on busier evenings the sitting room would be a great place to sit and chat with fellow travelers. The garden is beautiful and the pool is nice to splash around in. There is a lovely view of the sea but there is no swimming beach nearby. You'll have to travel elsewhere for that, but not far and the staff is happy to tell you the options and organize transportation for you, as they did for me. One final note, they do not serve alcohol themselves but you are welcome to bring your own or they will get it for you from the nearby supermarket if you're lazy like I am. I would definitely recommend this hotel. In fact next time I visit Sri Lanka I will be sure to stay there again.

Antique Architecture inside the hotel is excellent. Hotel staff is friendly and skillful. Specially food is delicious and wide variety of food is available upon request. Very quite place with lake view. However direct access to beach is not available from the villa. But can access by main road.

Absolutely peaceful and lovely place very close to Galle (5km, easy to reach a town with a Tuktuk). Super service, good food and very clean nicely decorated rooms with a private pool in a courtyard.

Me and my boyfriend had just left a hotel in Galle which was terrible (we didn't even check in) and we stopped off at The Postcard on the wa out of town to see if we liked it. The management did everything possible to make us feel comfortable and to demonstrate we could have a great few days there. We decided to check in and stayed in a room with integral pool in the bathroom. The service was fantastic, it was very relaxing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Coffee and part breakfast delivered outside our room as we requested, remainder of breakfast wherever we asked. Great value, good location, attentive staff and good value for money. The only downside was that the bar was not well equipped on the first day (no white wine, gin or vodka) but they rectified that by day two. What's great is that you can get all service by WhatsApp and order anything you want at any time of the day to any part of the hotel you want. Top notch!

We really loved our stay here. It’s a beautiful hotel, with wonderful and friendly staff. We had some suggestions for the GM, Ranjan Rai, on how to improve small things at the hotel and he was incredibly responsive to all ideas, and was already aware and fixing of some of them. He was a great manager steering the hotel out of Covid! Considering they had just reopened a month before after being shut for Covid, everything was running very well. The chef and rest of the team were the loveliest people as well. We enjoyed seeing them everyday. The location is very convenient to get to Galle fort, about 10 min. We would definitely recommend this place to others who don’t want to stay on the busy streets of Galle.

We have only eaten there one lunch, food was great! Have taken a tour of the villa and really liked the interior design and rooms. The only drawback is small pool and no direct beach access.

I stayed there with my family may 15th thru the 16th the place was nice we had a good time. However they have 3-4 staff members all males walking around the villa at all times during the nights they would get drunk and very loud disturbing us the whole night with loud talking and bob Marley music. Also at end of our stay I noticed $500 was missing from my wallet along with another $200 from my sisters purse. They have cctv cameras there the manager informed me they would run thru the footage and get back to me. After a few hrs no one got back to me when I called them back they told me the cctv cameras are not working and they weren’t responsible for any missing items. The place looks beautiful but our stay was a nightmare would not recommend this place to anyone especially if you have family and have expensive belongings there is no privacy. Also management was supposed to refund me 3,600 Sri Lankan rupees because we paid with dollars and they were supposed to refund the difference and never did when I asked the manager for the refund they claimed the gave it to family memeber who left the night before when I put him on the phone with the manager all of the sudden they couldn’t speak English. Again this place was a total nightmare I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. If traveling to Sri Lanka just be careful everyone is out to scam you.

Book this place if you want some calm coupled with very nice views, but not right on top of the fort/station/shops, etc. A short tuk-tuk ride to where all the main sights are... went at the end of season after the peak, so not sure about what experience you will have if it is busy but personally everything was fine for us. If this hotel can pick up a little on some of the small details then it's definitely somewhere I'd recommend without hesitation, and this is not meant to be a negative review - rooms were very nice clean, food was good, service was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. I would stay here again.

Amazing building. Feels like real luxury. Good service. Location is abit isolated from any action, but if that's what you want then this place is great. Food is good too, from the restaurant. There are some gigantic beautiful rugs in the room and else where that are placed on a smooth surface, just becareful not to slip on them.

Newly built spectacular villa, though it's a newly place it gives me a colonial antique feeling on the architecture of the place. Beautifully designed wooden furniture.

The Postcard hotel, Galle is a beautiful property which has great views and landscapes. The hotel give you very old world charm kind of feeling with the huge stairways, poster beds and the infrastructure. The team at Postcard was very courteous, helpful and always on their toes. Ranjan was always there to help, looking into house keeping, FNB and always happy to strike a conversation. The executive chef Hani always surprised us with his creative food which was always tasty. Dinushkar chef cooked us some great local food and. Nuwan, Janaka and Priynath were great to have around.
