Stayed at Cantaloupe Aqua for a day during Feb’19... The first impression as soon as you step at the reception- WOW, now that’s called a serene view 😍😍😍 We had a room at the ground floor, so had the direct access to the garden and the swimming pool...the property has not a lot of rooms (perhaps 7 room at both the floors), and that’s the best part about the property...the pool is decent, not very big, but located well, right at the beach, so grab a beer and relax in the pool 🤗🤗🤗 The staff is friendly...the restaurant has decent food options, quite limited for the veggies... The room is good, not much luxury, but decent enough... The pricing was quite high, last year when we stayed... Overall worth the stay...enjoyed to the fullest... Totally recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We liked the staff and their professionalism and kindness. We were a bit disappointed about the room which was not at all up to standards, the walls were dirty, old furniture, the parquet flooring was broken, but the manager on duty was very helpful and changed our room and offered service recovery. The pool is a bit small, but the view is amazing. The overall stay was good, the staff is very attentive to details and tried to accomodate all our needs like offering us a spa room to have shower after check-out, due to our late pick-up.

Although they seem to pride themselves on relaxation I didn't find this hotel very peaceful. The rooms are not soundproofed in any way meaning not only can you hear the road behind the hotel but also every door slam from other rooms and plate crash from the restaurant. Sun bathing spots are limited. Given the high price this resort charges and the low standard of the relatively small rooms I'd have to classify it as very poor value for money. Views to the sea are nice though.

Good for a spend a day and relax with friends. Beach is near the hotel and you can have a walk. The car park is bit small but parking can be made near the hotel. Rooms are clean and all health guidelines are practice for covid-19. Pool is bit small and we have not used it. Food was set menu with different options and tea was arranged with some small snacks.

3-4 options in the menu, still some of them were not available. Has only a tiny swing pool which is enough for 2-3 people at a time. Car park is only enough for 2-3 cars. Unclean domestic animals freely moving around and looking for food. Falsely advertised as a 4-star hotel. Unbeatable location is only plus point.

The view from the room is amazing! The property feels a little bit old, but overall everything works well and feels comfortable. The breakfast restaurant is great, you get to start your day with a nice breakfast and a view. All staff was very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our one night there and wish we could spend more!

Very nice hotel in front of the sea. The staff is really nice and you get served good food there. The swimming pool is a bit small but you have the all sea right in front. The beach is also nice and almost no one. We had a great time there!

We stayed here for 3 nights. Overall the hotel was nice, located right on the beach. You can watch the sunset with a beer. The room was good, ocean view. Staff was friendly and helpful. The minus point for us was the wifi. It was very very slow.

Great hotel with extremely good service. The property is right on the beach which has amazing waves. The hotel staff is really cordial. They went out if their way to accommodate our large group with different travel dates at the last moment. We just walked in and got amazing rooms. The staff was very courteous wrt providing additional services. We got an extra bed at 2 in the night when some of our friends had to shift in urgently due to an emergency. Would certainly recommend. And would stay again whenever I visit unawatuna.

The hotel is amazing! It's clean and somewhat modern with a few nice amenities. The staff are friendly and they are very helpful. I have been lucky to get a good rate as well as it is low season. The pool is rather small and there is no beach at the hotel but a short stroll over the rocks or up the road takes you right there. I am still very happy with the hotel. The food is decent and there are a few options otherwise there are other restaurants and hotels a short ride/drive away! Make sure you are prepared for the best sleep ever as you listen to the waves lapping (or crashing) I would stay again. Definitely!

Cantaloupe Aqua is not a very big hotel. It's a boutique style one. But the hotel is well themed and fashionable. It has a very nice view of Ocean from the rooms, lobby and infinity pool is amazing (Note that the pool is small). There is a private beach area and you can bath in the sea. Rooms are very new and it has a 5 star standard for sure. Breakfast was superb. They nicely presented the breakfast also. Staff also well trained and friendly. Only few cons; parking area is bit small. And not many retaurants nearby to have lunch or dinner ( if you need to go out). Anyway don't have any doubts to book this hotel. We had a very nice stay here. I would say it's a very cute hotel at a great location. Perfect for relaxation, great views, infinity pool and beach experience.

Very, very friendly and helpful staff. The manager gave us a warm welcome himself and whatever you need, he and his staff are doing anything to help and make your stay enjoyable. Although there is no beach access from the hotel, few minutes walk away you have a beach by yourself. The food is delicious, the rooms are specious and clean with ocean view & the bed is super comfy!
