Nice rustic Bangalow with a wonderful view. Room for improvement in the food and service

A beautiful property 15 mins away from Galle . It is situated on top of a hill and pretty secluded. It's a little inside from the main road. We got two rooms in the cottage adjoining the property. It is marketed as a separate cottage but it's just an extension from the main building. The rooms were pretty nice. The best thing about the place is that its perfect if you are looking for a quiet getaway. You are surrounded by nature on all sides. The place has its own private pool. Breakfast was great and the food was amazing. The only downside is the place requires a little maintenance and there are a lot of mosquitoes and insects everywhere because of the jungle around.

The property was absolutely serene and beautiful! The food served was amazing and they were very keen on accommodating any requests we had! Great hospitality and would totally recommend Templeberg villa for a quick getaway from the city!

A stunning property and super affordable rates. Tripped across it while surfing through AirBnB and it's been totally worth it. Lush green surroundings and just 15mins away from Galle Fort. And the swimming pool is a beaut! So is the staff :)

We booked this place through Airbnb and turned out to be suuuuper! The staff, the host all were very nice. The property is one of the best places I've seen; modern and colonial architecture at sync. It has a homely feel attached but it's as comfortable as any hotel.

It is a lovely place to stay when you're out and about in Galle Fort. It is 15 min away from GF and it is kind of cost and chilled out place to be with friends. The food is so delicious and homemade..gives you the Galle feels :) but there are a few ammenities lacking like no water provided in the rooms, Wifi is not connected consistently etc. And we didnt have keys available for our rooms which was not on...but apart from that..the staff were really friendly.

Blissful oasis of calm. Delicious food, friendly staff taking care of all your needs, abundant birdlife right outside your room. All this a five minute tuktuk ride from Galle Fort. Who could ask for more?

I had the absolute pleasure of staying in Templeberg Villa in June. Located just a short tuk tuk ride out of central Galle, the entry to the estate is marked by a driveway winding its way up an informal hillside garden to a clearing that reveals your first welcoming view of charming Templeberg Villa. During my trip, I visited and stayed in a number of villas in Galle and came to realise they vary in both location and atmosphere. Some are seaside, others located within the old town itself and others, like Templeberg, are in a more secluded setting. For me, you can’t go past a villa away from the popular tourist areas and the hustle and bustle of Galle as an ideal place to get away from life for a while or to serve as a base for sightseeing. Set within acres of untouched tropical jungle complete with coconut palms and monkeys swinging through the canopy, Templeberg Villa is the perfect retreat. While some villas in Galle retain their colonial feel, others have been newly constructed in the colonial style or renovated to the point of being stripped of their original character. Not so at Templeberg Villa – a 150-year-old Dutch colonial estate where restraint has been exercised to provide visitors with the necessary modcons while preserving its rustic feel. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed with antique pieces and modern bathroom facilities. The breathtaking 30-metre horizon pool overlooking a jungle valley is a highlight that provides an ideal place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Madam Karin and her staff at Villa Templeberg were incredibly hospitable during our stay and bent over backwards to meet our needs. Whether it was always being on hand to organise a tuk tuk into town, welcoming us with refreshing ice tea on arrival or cooking up delicious dinners on request. In fact, one of the most memorable things about my visit to Sri Lanka was the cuisine. That is certainly no exception at Templeberg Villa with its delicious breakfast curries and dinners served in the communal outdoor dining area beneath the jackfruit trees. Templeberg Villa is highly recommended for the discerning traveller seeking a comfortable retreat and an authentic colonial villa experience.

Love this place! Such a cozy, relaxed place. Beautiful gardens and architecture. Owners are so friendly and nice. Staff very helpful, but don't get in the way. It's perfect!

Superb experiance with nature vibes. very close to the famous unawatuna beach and galle fort. And must to appreciate the hospitality of the people involved. Brillient jungle pool ever saw in my life. Once again place worth the money u spend.
