Loved this place! Food was great and the family who runs it is super kind. We are here two nights and had fish, biryani prawns, pumpkin soup with prawns and their “egg boutique”. All really tasty! The carrot juice is also so good. If you say that you don’t want it to be spicy, you can trust them. Good size portions and you get a lot of the good things. Big thank you! :)

Probably the best restaurant around Galle city. Service,food,surroundings are exceptional. They have variety of uncommon dishes.Large portions.Tried chicken Submarine and prawn wrap. Prawn wrap was exceptional while submarine was very good and freshly made. Apple colada and passion fruit mojito was fresh and punchy. Price is fair for the quality. 100% recommend the place owner Mr Dhammika Staff and food . Egyptian deco also adds more color for dining experience.

Me and my friends were amazed at the prices as well. Trust me, this place is better than any high priced cafe or restaurant in Colombo. Comida Restaurant is a true gem in Galle, and perhaps all of Sri Lanka. The simple, yet fine, personal touches to the meals really add to the overall dining experience here. And did I mention how delicious everything we ordered was? After almost a week traveling around Sri Lanka, this was by far some of the best I've eaten and was the only food I ate all week that I completely finished in its entirety. This restaurant is a must visit when in the Galle area. The service was just as great as everything else, and you truly feel welcomed and guaranteed satisfied with your meals. I would eat all my meals here if I could. Thank you to the family that owns this for their friendly and kind Sri Lankan hospitality.

Gotta admit, came here off the back of the reviews and agree on the food coma. The owner is super friendly and the food is banging! I had the potato samosas + veggie byriani. Needed to be rolled out at the end. Great Prices, Great Food - can't go wrong.

We love the food, service, portions and the décor (just coming from 2 months in Egypt). Architectural design is perfect and they are improving on that. Their service is highly professional and there are no additional charges for the service. Prices are affordable as well as reasonable(I have attached some images of the menu). Food is delicious and fresh. Money and time you spent is valued at a high level. Very nice place outside of the fort tourist traps. The owner is an experienced chef living his passion and creating dishes out of his creativity and “savoir-faire”. His passion and his attention to details are out of this world. Familiar ambiance and good prices. The submarine and the crispy chicken burger, although they seem scary in the pictures, are really good and easy to eat. 100% recommended!

This hidden gem deserves all the rave. I loved my tuna steak and the biriyani was awesome too! The chef is a lovely Sri Lankan man who has worked at a hotel in Portugal and the Aman hotels in Sri Lanka. The food was spectacular and the location was so cute! I never leave reviews but I just had to do it for this one. Loved it and will definitely be back!!

Fantastic food, wonderful service. We arrived shortly before official closing time but the owner still happily served us. The iced tea was phenomenal and the apple colada was also delicious. We ordered the prawn burger and the seafood baguette, both of which were very tasty and came in generous portions. The buns were made fresh by the owner and the presentation was great. This place is so lovely and the family that run it are just the sweetest. Prices are similar to elsewhere but they were so welcoming in low season when we visited. The young boy was telling us all about his school and even sang for my friend and I which was lovely. The food was really good and you could tell it was cooked fresh.

A cosy little Restarunt away from the “tourist” hub. The owner/ chef was on hand to explain that the tuna steak was from a yellow fin tuna and he got the best pieces. (I also learned there are 3 different tuna fish. From him) I also had the think prawn curry that goes really well with the crispy bread. Will go back if time permits. YUMs!!
