Beautiful peaceful place, tastefully designed , clean, sweet welcoming very attentive hosts, lovely common area, nice terrace. I had a single lovely room with comfy bed, spacious, nice bathroom with all necessary. I tried the laundry service and it was perfect. 10-15 min walk from train station, city. I recommend this dearly in Kandy, it’s the best stay i had in Sri Lanka. Thank you so much 🙏🏼

It is rare to stay in a “Home Stay” that makes you feel so at home as this place. The owners treated me like family as kind and helpful as they were to me. Kandy is a bustling city, and after only staying in places for one or two nights, it was very relaxing to stay in this oasis of calm (while still in walking distance of the city centre). The room was spotlessly clean and I was provided with soap, shampoo, and towels. The windows and doors are very well sealed so there are no insects anywhere. Before I came here, I turned down two other hotels because of hygiene issues and rude owners. I truly had a lovely time here. Thank you so much for caring for me :))

If you are looking for a great place to stay in Kandy I can definetily recommend this really nice home stay! The owner is so nice and really generous. Beside the great hospitality and the amazing service we had one of the best breakfasts here. I want to thank the family so much for everything and hope to see you again soon!

Though only having spent one night here, the first impression was very good. My single room was clean, tidy and quiet. The whole place looked well cared for too, plus has enjoyable rooftop views. Breakfast was a tasty abundance and the host was very kind. Although it’s not too far from the busy main road, overall it’s very quiet. Walking into town takes a good 15 minutes, however it isn’t a pleasant one, as you have to go along that busy main road. Of course a tuktuk is a faster and more pleasant alternative.

I recently stayed at this charming villa and had a wonderful experience. The room was exceptionally clean, and the owner's friendliness added a personal touch to the stay. The breakfast provided was not only tasty but also satisfying. While the balcony view was okay, it didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of my visit. I left feeling very satisfied and look forward to returning next time.

The host was really kind, he went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect stay, even though we were there just for 1 night. He and his family were the best. The room was big and exceptionally clean. The balcony was a nice touch. The bathroom was equipped with shampoo and soap and it was very clean. Towels were provided as well. The breakfast was abundant and really tasty! If we ever come back to Kandy we'll choose this place again with no hesitation!

Such a wonderful place to stay. Sultan and his family were so friendly and accommodating of our every need. The rooms are spacious and incredibly clean and the common areas are so lovely and make you feel at home. The breakfast is also amazing!!! An oasis in Kandy!

One of the cleanest most spacious places we stayed in Sri Lanka. Very helpful and easy going. The breakfast was quite expensive but convenient.

Outstanding hospitality from the owner and his family. They are sooo kind and helpful. Their breakfast is great and a huge portion. Instead of being money focused for them customer orientation comes first which is kind of rare in Sri Lanka. The room was also nice and the bed was comfy. With a 10 minutes walk you’re at the train station of Kandy, also 5-10 minutes to the next supermarket.

Up until now really the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka. The owner is a very nice and warm gentleman. If you stay in Kandy you can easily stay a night or two longer when you are in this hotel. Great tips for the things to see and do in the city. Great rooms, very clean. Great breakfast too. Very good options for vegetarians and people who need to eat gluten-free. If it would be possible would give them an extra star.

We stayed just for one night on our way from Ella to Trincomalee. We arrived by train and the location is in perfect walking distance, around 1km. The host is super friendly and helpful. The house contains 5 rooms and is phenomenal clean. The owner told us, that it was build just 1 year before Covid. The breakfast is super tasty and we got 5 different types of fruits :) 👍🏼 I can highly recommend a stay here!

Great value for money. Area looks a little sketchy but once you arrive it feels safe. Nice and clean with comfortable beds. A little basic but really can’t complain for the price per night.

An excellent choice for a stay, family run, very friendly and professional.

We lived here for a week. In the room we got conditioner and vent, bed, couple of bedside table and same big one. Sleep there was very comfortable. Place is quite quiet, so nothing will disturb your dreams. Owner is a perfect man, who can do as much as he can for you. He offer us breakfast, mb lunch, tea with toasted bread (jam is amazing). Breakfast cost a lot, but it's fair for their size. I ve never eat all of it. There are also fried eggs, fruits, tea/coffe with milk or not and toasted bread. You also can buy water there. Owner give us his wide hats to save us when we reached sigiriya. Owner recommended us his friend who help us with our trips outside the city. Really good man, awesome tuktuk driver. Location is not quite well, but all day and night along the nearest road stay a lot of tuktuk and you can drive everywhere. But this is not hotel problem. The city is a little bit dirty and full of people and cars. Better to go somewhere on tuktuk. But if you want to walk you can easily reach Dalada Maligawa, lake and clock tower. I highly recommend this hotel for staying.

We chose this homestay because of the great reviews! The owner was so nice and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, the room was clean and bright. It seemed brand new. Close to the train station. Highly recommend going to the botanical gardens. That was our favourite part of Kandy.

Good room condition and service.

This place is a good value for the price and the family running it are pleasant but honestly I didn't feel very comfortable here. I was super tired after a few months of hard travel and just needed to relax and rest but felt like my movements were being tracked by the owner. Every time I left the building (even at 5am...?!) I felt eyes on me and as I looked back someone would be watching me. Maybe other reviewers like this kind of attention but it just kind of put me on edge. They did arrange for a tuktuk city tour with Pradeep (who is very nice) but every place just wanted me to buy something or pay more money (think Bangkok circa 2005) so I cut the tour short. Then I was forced to explain why I came back early and I just said I was tired - why should I have to explain why I do anything? That said, if you're looking for personal attention times 100 then this is the place for you! The room was spacious and clean but the shower was at best lukewarm and I would have really liked a hot shower. They also surprised me with free pick up and drop off from the train station so that was much appreciated. Breakfast is the typical toast and eggs that every guesthouse offers but a short walk down the road takes you to many local cafes offering yummy stringhoppers and curry.

Here we felt really at home rightaway from the moment we arrived. We were welcomed with hugs and found a beautiful homestay with spacious, well equipped and spotless rooms. Sulthans family is very warm welcoming, super friendly and helpful with any request. Last minute, just the day before arrival I had asked for some decoration and a welcome drink on arrival for our first anniversary. We have been both overwhelmed with this effort Sulthan and his wife put into it to make us feel very special on this day. The room was perfectly decorated with dried and fresh flowers, lights, balloons, candles, a welcome juice and even a cake, which we shared with the family. Amazing laundry service and super great giant breakfast with lots of fresh fruits. We always would come back to this place. It was hard to leave after four amazing nights. Perfect sleep, very good mattress and bedding. Thank you Halima and Sulthan for a perfect stay.

The owner is very friendly and super helpful and will help you with anything you Need, also for on going Travels. Gives nice recommendations what to do in Kandy. Nice balcony and rooftop. Very good and we thought big breakfast incl. a delicious and big fruit plate and juice.

Genuinely have I never stayed at a place where I felt so cared for. I stayed for one day and felt that the owner, Sulthan, was like a member of my family. Staying here was an experience in and of itself, I came out a kinder man for having been here. It was never overbearing or forced either, just real kindness that worked. Besides the wonderful hospitality, the place was spotlessly clean, excellent with its accommodations and incredibly comfortable. 10/10 by a landslide.

Great value for money. Really kind family having few rooms for tourist in their home. Owner helped us with everything wgat we needed. We arrived in evening and his wife prepared amazing dinner, during stay recomended program for rainy day, arranged perfect tuk tuk driver/quide. On the end call to train station if trains are running, check buses departures and adviced... and great plus is huge roof terrace where you can sit and see city, montains around.

This place is amazing! The room and the bathroom are very clean, the bed is super comfy and there is enough space for the luggage. The food is really (!) good. We enjoyed the nice view from the terrace. The host is so friendly, helpful and took care of us! He arranged a pick -up transfer, which worked also without any problem. We highly recommend this place!

Exceptional homestay. The family is Super friendly and speaking very good English. The owner even took us to a traditional hindu festival where people walked over hot charcoals Greatest breakfast on wonderful roof terrace and even some monkeys came to chill with us

Very very friendly and respectful. Showed us unique traditions like a firewalk and always cared about all our needs! For example our clothes were washed. Good breakfast and even some monkeys came :)

We stayed here for 5 nights and couldn’t recommend it more! The family hosting us were incredibly attentive and helpful. All the meals they cooked for us were delicious and the rooms/house is one of the most beautiful we’ve seen in Sri Lanka. If you’re ever in need of a Tuk Tuk be sure to ask for Akbar Ali - he not only knew all of the best spots and was great value but he was also a great friend to have take us around the beautiful city of Kandy.
