It's a great school. The cost of the lesson includes delivery of you to the spot by tuk tuk, longsleeve and surf. All the guys at school are very polite, attentive and positive. Our coach Imran is a cool teacher and a great singer 😉, from the first lesson he put us on the boards, taught us how to behave in the water to be safe. In the third lesson, I caught several waves almost on my own. I think this is a great result!

Very good Surf school, very nice and great teachers. They make me stay on the Board in 1 hour. Also after a exhausting surfing session the juices over there are excellent

Very friendly, helping and happy people! We did Surf lessons for 3 days and learned a lot! We had a private teacher for two people, so a really good focus on us and our skills! They have good knowledge and a kindful attitude! TukTuk ride from and to the hotel, swim suits, a drink and Pictures/ Videos were included. I can really recommend this Surf school! Thanks for the great time!

We had a great time, the lesson was great, we improved a lot and the waves were perfect for learning at this beach. Only criticism would be that it was sold to us as a private lesson, and our teacher seemed to be helping with teaching 2 or 3 others from another group.

Run by locals. Very good instructors. I came with my two kids 10 14, we are all beginners but had some training from before. I was very pleased with instructors. Helped me out in correcting some of the things. It was rainy also but we had a great time. Prices are good.

Great surf lesson! Easy communication with Randy. We were a group of 7 and were assigned a coach per two people. We had 90 mins and by the end of it were able to stand up and ride the waves. Great for beginners - recommended!

Had an awesome lesson with the guys at Aloha Surf school. I am a beginner to surfing but they made it really fun, Easy to understand instructions and in no time I was up standing. I would recommend anyone thinking about surfing to give these guys a call , absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back soon!

This was our first surfing experience and couldn't have asked for a better team than this to train! The Aloha team were wonderful and experts in surfing! Also, very polite, patient & fun while training us. Our session was for 1 and half hours but they were training us for more than 2 hrs until we were satisfied and very kindly accepted our request to click pictures and videos for us as well!! Their expertise and hospitality made this an amazing experience for us and not to mention in this most affordable deal!! 10/10

I came there to have a couple of surf lessons and i left as a friend... First of all i want to mention the location of Aloha Sun Surf School. So amazing idyllic! Located in Unawatuna, the scenic beauty of the coastline served as the perfect place for my surfing adventure in Sri Lanka. The spot provided top conditions for learning, with consistent waves that made fast progression possible for beginners and intermediate surfers like me. But now to the most important thing. I took several private lessons at this surf school and my experience with them was just outstanding! They know the spot and the sport so well, after they gave me confidence at the beginning, i could suddenly take waves i wasn't expecting it would be possible for me and so i could surf some of the best waves in my life! I'm just so thankful for that awesome experience 🙏 So if you want to progress fast in surfing with highly professional, super funny and friendly teachers and a ton of fun this is the place to go!

Best surf school around Unawatuna :) The guys were super friendly, provided good equipment and Bran was a very attentive and funny instructor! They also provided a pick up from and to our hostel and communication via WhatsApp was super easy. Fair prices, too! Highly recommend these guys if you want to learn surfing or to improve your skills.

Our first surfing experience was so great with these guys. The registration was easy via WhatsApp. it was answered after a few minutes. We were picked up and brought back. We practiced dry runs and then off we go into the water. the beach was super nice. Our trainers are also kind and motivating. They also made videos for us and send them so that we can show our friends and family. all in all we had a great time. Thank you so much for everything!

Aloha Sun Surf School is THE place to go to if you want to catch your first waves or improve your surfing. The communication from the first request onwards was polite, helpful and easy. The owner arranges transport from the hotel to the surf spot (and back). Introduction and theory is held directly at the beach. After some exercises on the sand you are ready to jump into the waves. The surfspot is safe and easy for beginners as well as intermediates. Instructors are kind, helpful and funny and will easily help you to catch your waves. Great experience!
