Very rude owner but the salted caramel is amazing. .. Edit: I had originally given 4 stars, but reduced it to 1 when I received this negative response to customer feedback. I am always kind and say please and thank you, yet I am treated with irritation as if I should just give them money and leave. Try living up to your name and spreading "Love" instead of this animosity. If this is your business ethic, you've certainly lost a customer in me. Will not be returning.

This place has good ambience and spacious too.This place is walkable from Thaproban beach(our accommodation). I would definitely recommend this place.

Amazingly delicious ice cream. I tried passion fruit - tastes like I was eating the fruit itself, chocolate - one can surely call it "death by chocolate". Highly recommended:you definitely won't be disappointed.

Gelato was delicious, but customer service was severely lacking. "The customer is always right" definitely does not apply here. The server did not want to correct his mistake and was simply not very kind.

We stopped by here a few times during our trip! We love it! The owner is super friendly! After traveling around Sri Lanka for about a month, this place has the best gelato we have found! They made their waffle cones fresh in-house! All of their gelatos are also freshly made in-house! It is amazing! There are vegan options as well! The owner puts a lot of effort and love into making the gelatos as it shows in taste and the texture. We had Coconut, Salted Caramel, and Stracciatella. It is perfect! Be aware that there is not really a seating area, so it is more of a take-out spot. Highly recommend it!

You'd better never come in here! You will risk meeting an inadequate, sick in the head owner. If you want to see wild monkey, better go to the zoo, if you want extreme - surfing. but not coming here. although this place is always empty and it is not surprising. the owner probably thinks it's off season....always…

Gelato was great however the man serving was rude for no reason. An absolute must. Accept no substitutes. The gelato here really is some of the best we have ever tasted! Also the perfect place to go if you are vegetarian or vegan!!! The vegan coconut gelato is AMAZING!!!!! You can even see the gelato and sorbet being made next door if you happen to be there at the right time. Go on, treat yourself.....

Best gelato in Sri Lanka! The flavors stay true to the ingredients, no conservatives or colourants so it's perfect. The owner is an amazing man that you can tell he loves what he does, the store is really beautiful and you can see the tools used to make the gelato right next to the counter. A must if you go to Unawatuna, you can find it cause there's a big gelato cone outside.

Visited - March 2022 On a very sunny and hot day, we saw many people devouring ice cream. After trying to find out where they were coming from, we found ourselves at this location! An excellent selection of gelatos with freshly baked waffles. You must try their passion fruit & papaya gelatos! They were out of this world. Excellent value for money.

Best ice cream on the island (and probably best I have had elsewhere) by far. Super fresh and every flavour has a unique taste, the cones are also made freshly and teste like fresh waffles! Highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area or taking a trip down south to try this very special treat 😍

If you want good ice cream, there’s plenty of places to grab one BUT if you want GREAT ice cream, full of freshly sourced local fruits, that’s 100% natural and bursting with flavour….LOVE GELATO is a must. Visited today with my wife and 3 kids and they all left LG with big smiles on their faces. Even our driver, who’s been travelling Sri Lanka with us for the past week, indulged in a cone and couldn’t stop raving about how great the mango option was. As a family we all love a good ice cream wherever we are in the world, and boy do they make a great ice cream at LOVE GELATO. We’ll certainly be back.
