We have been in the area for a week and for us this is the best restaurant in this price range. There are antipasti for two for 20 euros, everything from it is perfect! The mussels were very tasty, just a little salty for my taste. The dessert - Pastichoto cake - was very taste! Be sure to make a reservation! Enjoy your meal!

No words can describe the perfect frutti di mare in this place. Everything is fresh and perfectly cooked!

Our dinner at Osteria Briganti was not as authentic and enjoyable as expected. The plate that I wanted to order was not available, the mixed antipasto was average (compared to others we had in the past days) and the secondo did not look particularly good even though the taste of the fish was alright. On top of that, the main courses were not served at the same time; my partner got his food 15 minutes after mine. All in all, we are rather disappointed of this experience.

Slightly hidden away from the rest of the restaurants, if you find this and manage to get a table you will not be disappointed. We ordered two spaghetti dishes and wish we had more space to eat more. They serve fresh seafood caught every morning. We got served a complimentary local cookies at the end of our meal which were a perfect end to lunch.

Delicious food on an unassuming side street in the old city of Gallipoli. The antipasto of the house is definitely what you should go for, regardless what you order after. It contains several dishes which are traditional and absolutely delicious, including marinated anchovies and other fish, as well as a heavenly parmigia di melanzane (eggplant) with seafood. The pasta and second courses are also to die for and the service is very attentive and friendly.

The place was recommended to us by a local, and that's a point worth taking into account when choosing a restaurant in one of Italy's busiest summer spots. Our high expectations were actually exceeded by what we considered the best eatery of our Salento holidays. Recommended dishes: Orecchiette di mare, with its variety of shellfish and sea goodness, and Ravioli alla cernia (stone bass) blew us away. Generally speaking the fish is so fresh that as we sat down the head waiter pushed a carrello (cart) with the catch of the day toward our table, which included a lobster that was still pretty much alive and scraping... So, if you can get past this small violation of crustacean welfare, you'll enjoy the laid back ambiance and the unbelievable food experience. A must-go!

Nice but uncomfortable place, nothing extraordinary. They have fresh fish but the service was cold and pretentious. Generally, I didn’t like the place. Three stars only for the good wine.

Fresh fish and lobster. You can choose a fish and they recommend you the way to prepare it. Very good idea. We had a fish with a potatoes crust. Top. Soft. No bones

We came here at the beginning of our stay to make a reservation and they told us they were full for the whole week. Then we contacted them online and they said they had space for us which was weird. Fish was good but service was a bit odd. Our server spoke very fast Italian and kept pushing us to buy a big fish when we just wanted the single portion, which led to mass confusion and we end up getting an extra fish in the end which we requested to bring back as we didn’t order it. Then they charged us for it. It was rectified in the end but didn’t leave the best impression.

Excellent food, great service and as I took a group of over 20 people, they delivered a multi-course meal that had everyone smiling and eating happily. The service was impeccable and welcoming. Grazie a voi!
