In my opinion who puts more than 1 star has never eaten any fish...good fish. Anything is fresh, made without any skills (like pasta con vongole that is a boiled pasta) and the "sort of waiters" are very impolite (aggressive to us because we complained that we received starters and pasta together). Better not to have any dinner than spending an euro here.

My boyfriend and I were searching for a sea food restaurant and stumbled across La Maruzzella on the coast. Fresher than fresh sea food - the muscles were to die for and the prawns were out of this world. Authentic local Italian experience. I'll let the pictures talk for themselves...

Terrible, Awful, Rude and definitely go next door. You couldn't visit a worst place to eat. Stale bread on offer, then nothing fresh available! Everything frozen. Then unless you want everything friend not a lot of choice either. Broken plastic tables with sharp edges and then to top it off, the staff. If you are English and want to be insulted, made fun of and used for jokes the remaining Italians in the place then go here. The 2 male waiters are total muppets.... Avoid at all costs...

A fisherman-run restaurant for fish lovers. You will love it if you are the type who finds pure pleasure in fresh food and does not care about classy restaurant etiquette

Gorgeous fish dinner 3 meters from the sea! Roberto the waiter was super helpful in curating the perfect order for the 7 of us! Price point - excellent vino della casa - ideal!

Great fresh seafood and fish by the weight. Fried octopus was absolutely delicious. Prepare to stand in line so show up early. Service is ok - nothing special. Some very good local wines on the list. Recommend the rose.

Super-fresh seafood at a great price in no-frills (plastic plates) setting right on the water. Mostly locals for lunch when we were there. Definitely recommend especially if you're in the mood for freshly chucked mussels or sea urchin.

This local restaurant by the sea has great sea food dishes and lots of local wine....wow Only downside is that they are always packed and so you have to wait for close to half an hour or more but it's worth it. Also do not expect 5star service ,it's a local restaurant with great food so the tables are in plastic but who cares if you enjoy good ,clean food.

Fried seafood was unclenaled and rubber. Spaghetti was too salty, the sauce was most likely the cheapest tomato sauce from a supermarket. The place looked shabby.

I just don't know how people could rate this place so low the food is just amazing. It is not a classy eatery bread glasses and utensil brought to you in a basket but the food is what really makes this place 5 stars plus my server Angelo was very nice and made sure that everything was to our liking. Grazie Maruzella e anche Angelo.

Still one of the best affordable fish restaurant in the area. I go back there every year and never disappointed. Very basic service and decor but the food is top

Worst restaurant experience in Italy, and I’ve lived here for 11 years. They only serve raw, fried, and a few pasta dishes, so you would think they could get it right. No. My paranza (mixed fried fish) was overcooked and lukewarm. But the rest of the experience was worse. They have no respect for their customers. No reservations, but they have no waiting list when you arrive. You stand in a mob behind a chain, crowded up against a busy sidewalk, and hope that no one butts ahead of you. Staff indifferent to the edge of rudeness. Toilet was dirty, broken fixtures, faulty latch. I suppose they only survive because they’re in a pretty spot along the sea. But believe me, it’s not worth the view.

We sat at the waterfront, enjoying the view and the food. The service is basic - plastic goblets instead of glasses - but incredibly friendly. Mostly a place for fishermen and folks from the area.
