Passing through town and stayed at a hotel. Went here for an early dinner around 5:00pm. The Monday special was Country Fried Steak, so I ordered it. The meal came with green (or pinto) beans, split pea soup (or salad), potatoes (your choice), and a roll to go with the HUGE flattened, breaded, and fried steak. The soup was served first and it was absolutely amazing. I had never before eaten split pea soup so I was worried about how it would be. Oh my goodness! Get some if it is available. The green beans were specially prepared, not just poured from a can and heated and were very good. I got mashed potatoes with (white) gravy and they were good. The steak was definitely something that I would recommend as it was perfectly cooked and very tasty. This was an awesome dining experience as I was solo and sat at the counter bar! Highly recommend stopping here for a meal.

A staple in Gallup. Locally, family owned diner with good food and fast, friendly service. Large portions at fair prices. We enjoyed a Navajo Taco. Ask them to split it when you order - more than enough for two. Found a new must stop when going thru Gallup. Stop at Duke Fuel next door for fuel and nourishment for the road.

Large, friendly diner with local merchants in and out offering beaded jewelry to patrons. Coffee a bit bland for my taste. Huevos Rancheros is an egg on a corn tortilla with red sauce on top. Refried beans, flour tortilla and hash browns on the side. Will visit again.

Earl's was on our list to eat at. It didn't disappoint. Friendly service and fast food delivery. We had the roast beef sandwich and club sandwich. Well worth it their food is great. Take your time to find Earl's in your travels you will be pleased.

Excellent food and service. The real reason we visit is to put this giant smile on my M.I.L.'s face. She loves shopping for local jewelry and handmade items as she enjoys her meal.

Nice family restaurant located near I-40 off of old Route 66. Great Service and the Navajo tacos were huge and we split them and we’re plenty full afterwards. Had the Apple and a blueberry pie with ice cream. Enjoyed the Native Navajos that were able to sale their wares while we sat and ate.

The romantic notion of being here is often met with the romance of actually buying Native jewelry from the sellers who come around to each table. The food is your basic diner food. For an iced coffee you have to order a coffee and a cup of ice and do it yourself.

So we stopped for a taco. Way too big for one person and you must eat with knife and fork. The outer shell was soggy from the get-go. If you don’t mind an over-rated —people bothering you to buy jewellery while you’re dining then you found the place. White man owned. OVERRATED

This restaurant is a long time family favorite. Their atmosphere is welcoming. The service was fantastic. All our orders were correct and our waitress was friendly and attentive. The constant disappointment has always been at checkout. We regularly get double charged and have to work with our bank to resolve the overcharges. This review is based on frequently dining at Earls's for 20 + years.

The servers were very friendly and attentive. It was also a nice touch to have certified Native American artisans offering their artwork tableside, but politely! The food portions were large enough for two!!!

First time trying Indian fry bread. It was delicious. Hubby ordered the Navajo burger meal. Big enough for 2 people. Would go back to Earl’s

We randomly found this restaurant on Google and had breakfast here. And we are glad we did! It has a very authentic feel and food, a must visit while in New Mexico. They have carne adovada and green chili, which were hard to find anywhere and these are two of the top choices for foods to try in Mew Mexico. The best part of it is that they support the Native American locals. We bought really nice souvenirs from local artists (there are sellers at the restaurant). If you’d like to support the local artists, make sure to bring cash with you, as most of them don’t have electronic payment options. Attaching photos of our delicious food and one of the pieces of artwork we got here. 💕

Atmosphere was interesting. People will walk up to your table with jewelry to sell. If you are not interested, they will move on. The food is very good.

From the min I walked in the door I felt like everyone was looking at me as the place was way over crowded for a comfortable seated restraraunt. The server was a bit rude and in a hurry as she was very busy. But that has nothing to do with being curtuois to customers. It's a popular place to eat I'm guessing by the amount of parking there was left .(Parking lot was jam packed) Why it's popular, is beyond me ! Felt like the tables were piled on top of each other and way too close, I couldn't have a private conversation even if I wanted to in that place. The food was way overpriced, bland, dull, and boring at best...sorry I will not return to this overcrowded unfriendly place anytime soon. I would much rather go to pizza hut next door.

This is a very friendly and homestyle atmosphere. Ritchie waited on us and we hope to see him again in the future when we visit again. He was kind & attentive. My husband had the chop steak and it was made to satisfy the taste buds especially the mash potatoes. I had the roast beef plate with the corn on the cob and that suited my taste buds as well.

We went there for breakfast. The service was fast, efficient, food was very delicious. Good prices. Our kids had a lot of fun. The owners were checking on the customers that everything is ok. What a perfect family diner!!!!!!

Quick, friendly service; good food. Glad we ordered the 1/2 plate options as it was still more than we could eat. Our meals even included the daily dessert - 3 choices. My bread pudding was delicious!!

Food and service were very good. The place is clean and in good repair and prices are very reasonable. HOWEVER...... I was literally interrupted 15 times (I counted) during my meal by wandering vendors. I don't mind vendors, everyone needs to make a living, and I enjoy supporting local artists and craftsmen, but this was beyond ridiculous. Keep the vendors either outside or in a designated space inside so they'll stop annoying the guests while they are trying to eat! I can't say that I'll be back any time soon.

Customer service was good , Food was not so good . Ordered Chicken Fried Steak , while I was half way thru my meal , there was a hair in the breading. My moms had 2 hairs that she found in it as soon as she was going to eat it. Really was upsetting, as they also claimed the cooks were all male & it couldn’t have been theirs .

This place is so cute. The staff is super attentive and friendly. The food is home cooked style and portions are HUGE! It's clean and parking is plenty. Two thumbs up!

Came to Gallup for a mission trip and we have ate here twice this week. Both times we had wonderful service and the manager came out to check on us. The first night I ordered the pork-chops and they were wonderful! The second night I had Earl’s chef salad. The salad was so big, flavorful and delicious! The bean dip was also delicious!!

Stopped by here for the Navajo Tacos after seeing a story about it on TV - what a FANTASTIC place! The Navajo Taco was GREAT (and huge). They say it is enough for two, and If you tell them you want to share one, they bring TWO enormous plates of food for you, with half the taco on each one. Both their red and green salsas were fantastic, but the chunky roasted green chili salsa with pork and other vegetables was beyond compare. I was kinda sorry that I went there specifically with the intent of trying their Navajo Taco because the other food looked so good too, particularly the meatloaf on the daily special (quickly sold out). This place is quite large and VERY busy with locals, and the prices are as good as the food. We were initially put off by the number of strolling vendors offering all types of Navajo jewelry and goods, but this changed after we understood that each of these people has a "permit" and ID as a approved Earl's vendor. The prices for their goods were certainly fair, and I really appreciate that this business is ACTIVELY supporting the local native community. We WILL be back, many times. I just wish this wonderful place was less than 200 miles away so we could go there more often!

We decided to try this place on a trip to Gallup. Sadly, the food wasn't that great. I had the Spam combo with eggs and hash browns and we got a sweet roll for dessert. The scrambled eggs weren't cooked all the way, the hash browns had no flavor and the sweet roll was extremely dense. I probably wouldn't go back.

What a fun, friendly place to eat. The owner made the suggestion to my friend he only get the half order of open faced chili burger with tater tots. He was sure glad he did!! Huge!

We will definitely be stopping here again when going through Gallup. The food was delicious. The price was unbelievable. Best of all, we had the best server I think I've ever dealt with. His name is Richard (Ricky) and he has an awesome personality, as well as being prompt with our service. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and everyone was friendly.

Super friendly, fast service. Charming environment. Fruit was fresh, hash browns tasty, and coffee was good. I am glad we stopped. Walking through the doors was like walking back on time.
