We were interested to try a New Mexican fast food chain we'd never heard of before. Now we understand why. This place is disgusting. First, the fried chicken tastes like day-old grease, the "Blake's sauce" is bland, the bread was tasteless, and everything else was just bottom-rung fast food monotony. What really changed the game was the black hair my mom found in her chili dog. When I very politely showed the staff member, he didn't apologize, just kind of shrugged and said he'd make her another one. I declined, as my mom was definitely off her appetite by then. While she took over, boomer-style, to take the complaint up a notch and ask for her money back, I looked around a bit and found two rat traps around the back and side. Then my daughter used the restroom and found nasty water standing around the toilet and the sink. The booth seats were dirty and greasy, and there was just detritus all over the floor everywhere. Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere.

Very poor job of putting together a simple burrito. This is not what I ordered, and they refused to give me a refund or even remark my order. Would not go back to this location!

Could not find any other restaurant open at 6:30pm on a Saturday night. Went to this place as a last resort. Country music was so loud and obnoxious that we had to yell our order several times to get it right. Paid $20 for two burgers and two fries. Got two costco budget patties way too small for the bun, some lettuce, a tomato slice and one pickle slice. It was dry and had no taste. French fries we're barely cooked, gummy and no salt. This from a restaurant that has three menu items.

I got the NM style Lotaburger with onion rings & chocolate milk shake. Absolutely amazing!!

5-13-23 Never hear of Blake's lotaburger until this week. New Mexico has many. The staff looked unhappy. Their happiness is key to a much better visit.

Not too enthused employees but service was good. Excellent food and good service.

Not a bad chain at all. The burger was fresh and actually just a tad spicy with chilies. An appropriate fast food chain stop while in NM.

Had the new Mexican burger, onion rings and a pumpkin pie shake. Food was great pumpkin shake with yummy. Onion rings are real onion rings First time there. The young man that serviced us was patient and very polite. 👍👍

Dirty dining area. The floor was wet at the fountain machine, causing a slip hazard. There were no lids for medium-sized cups. There was not enough change for the bill tendered, and the manager was a little rude. Very unpleasant atmosphere. Bad service overall. I don't recommend making a stop here for your dining experience.

This is by far the worst lotaburger in town for breakfast. They skimp on hashbrowns and chile. You waste 6 dollars on a tiny little tasteless deformed burrito. I think they need to retrain employees or make the receipt easier to understand. I ordered extra chile and extra hashbrowns. After looking at the receipt, I can somewhat understand how it doesn't look like "add extra hashbrowns and chile" Go to the one on the north side(Lincoln)

I had to pick up a door dash so I can't comment on the quality of food. Atmosphere was what you would expect. It took almost 45 minutes for the staff to complete the order.

Burgers are ok, maybe with green chili and cheese, it would have been better. Season fries were ok. The service was good and friendly, and the tables needed to be cleaned.

Sometimes when we order online and go to pick up our order, we’re told we must have ordered from the wrong store and they don’t have our order. When we show them the online receipt THEN they go look under the counter and find it there. By the time we step aside to pull up the online receipt get back in line, the food is cold and 5-10 minutes have gone by, when they could have looked there in the first place since that’s where all the finished orders go. So if you order online and you’re sure you have the right store, remind them to look under the counter where they keep the orders.

Ate with my friends the food was amazing loved it but there are a lot and I mean A LOT of random people who go in might be bad if you looking for a nice calm place to eat?

The burger was legit. Loved it. Fries were stale and ehh. But overall pretty dang good. Bathroom was gross, 1 ply toilet paper makes for a nightmare lol. Did I mention how amazing the lotaburger tasted? Mmmm will definitely go back

Blake's is always the best fast food burger joint in any city of New Mexico

This place was and is a really bad place to eat there is no love in the making of their burritos! It all was just blan...never returning to any Blake's again...GALLUP NEEDS A WHATABURGER!!!!

Great little local spot with fabulous burgers and all day breakfast burritos. The fountain has mountain dew, root beer, Dr pepper, and others. The fries were excellent, too. One hole restroom, so plan your time appropriately.

Worst customer service. Will not refund unless a manager is on duty. Even with receipt. Place my order ended up being the wrong order. Was told to come back so they can change. Already on my day I couldn't just turn around I told them I would be able to be there in two hours when arrived they didn't have any one to give me a refund. They have 8 employees all all alare not willing to help the situation. I no long want to have a breakfast and they are not willing to refund it. Terrible service. You pay for what you want yes but when you yourself as a customer has to bend to there rules. They don't have a problem taking your money and makes no room to give your money back.

Number 1 meal “New Mexico” style has double meat and good hatch Chili. Onions too if u like it. The fries are good with a large drink.

Always have a bad experience here. I order my burger without onions and they will still put onions. Last night they gave me old fries and when I brought it up to the worker she didn’t apologize nor offer to make me a fresh batch because their fryer was off and while they still had 45 min before closing time. Unacceptable! Do better!

Ordered ahead hoping to run in and grab the food and get home quickly, that was not the case! After waiting 15min to check in I had to wait 45min to get my food and I only got it because I went and asked for it at the counter. It was ready they just didn't call the order out. This is the third time my family has had this issue. Good food, just be ready to wait an hour before eating it.

My husband has told me about Blake's Lotaburger for 35 years. I FINALLY had a chance to go there and have a Lotaburger. BEST. BURGER. EVER. Unbelievable. My husband was SO right on. The burger was heaven on Earth. I am bever going to be happy with another burger anywhere but Blake's. If you can, go there, have one, and see what I mean. Those hatch chilis make the meal. So after the restaurant we had planned on going to was closed, we stopped at Blake's Lotaburger. It happened to be national onion ring day, so we chose onion rings. I had a chicken sandwich with hatch green chili added and my husband had a New Mexican style lotaburger with a chocolate shake. The food was amazing, the onion rings were so good, and the hatch green chilies on each sandwich were perfection. I would recommend and will eat there again when in Gallup.

They are very unorganized and slow. When I received my order I was charger 1 extra meal. The lady on the register had no clue what she was doing. So once I took the food home we were short 2 items,I had to all the way back and wait in line again. I will stay away from that place from now on.

First visit to a Blake’s and I was pleasantly surprised! Ordered a carne adovada burrito with red chile sauce and cheese, which was very tasty, for $5.79. Clean restaurant, food prepped in the open so you can see everything. I will definitely be back!

I like Blake’s lota burger. The New Mexico style burger is my favorite. I’ve been to many blakes lota burgers around New Mexico. This has been the worst Blake’s I’ve ever been to. The cashiers customer service was the worst, and no Pepsi on the machine.

Man, Blakes went downhill, the green chili double cheeseburger combo is now 14 dollars! The meat pattie is smaller and the fries are different. Sad day in New Mexico. Will not be returning.

The onion rings are great! The burger was ok, but the service was lacking. We needed ketchup, but couldn't get anyone to help us. They had plenty of help, but it seemed no one wanted to do more then the minimum. I hope they get a little guidance on customer service.
