The breakfast here is amazing! I had the Bacon Cheddar omelet, and it was prepared to perfection! The bacon was crisp, the eggs light and perfectly cooked, just enough cheese to make the meal! Potatoes were diced and had just the right amount of crunch. Restaurant was clean and well layer out. Great service with a friendly smile! A must visit when in Galveston.

Food was absolutely delicious! We would definitely go back when we head down to Galveston. Be aware that you order at the counter and hope to find an open table. We ate around 9:30. The line was out the door(good sign for good food) which also meant waiting in the heat while the line moved. But as I said, we will definitely go back!!!

While visiting Galveston we decided to stop by Mosquito Cafe for breakfast. There was a long line which wasn’t a problem. You order the food before sitting down then waitstaff brings food to your table. Everything was perfect! Nice little spot we definitely will visit again.

Food was great! Friendly environment. Sit outside with the fans blowing on us. It was cozy. The quality of the food was great. Flavors went together well. The burger had a nice charcoal home vibe feeling with a lot of depth.

We were told about this place through a Friend. They mentioned it was delicious, so we decided to give it a try. I ordered the Mosquito which was eggs Benedict over a delicious scone with asparagus and artichokes, their hollandaise sauce was so good along with their eggs and the side apple salad with this delicious cream. I also had a Mango Nectur Mimosa. I tried their Fudge brownie that was also, oh so good. I most definitely will go back. The atmosphere had a NOLA feel and everyone was very friendly.

We found this place while staying the night before our cruise. Nice relaxed chill atmosphere with great outside art. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Food was outstanding... So much flavor and great vegetarian options. Scrumptious homemade deserts! Highly recommend!

Pretty good place for breakfast. Hubs had the spinach /roasted potato/egg bowl (came w/ sliver of toast). I had the Good ol’ breakfast w/ scrambled eggs (not real eggs) which was disappointing. We don’t eat pork and there weren’t any turkey/Chick options for protein. We shared a pancake and brownie (too gooey, but good homemade flavor). He had OJ and I had water. We paid ~54$. The line getting in was long, but it went by fast since you order at the counter and find your own seating. It was a warm morning they have working fans, but they don’t spin. The bathroom was clean. Over all good experience and gentlemen who took our order was really nice.

Stopped in on a whim, and was more than impressed at this little shop. Great food, good service, and sad we didn’t get any dessert. Will have to come back for more. Come to this place if your looking to shake up your Galveston routine and need some good family friendly food!

Casual place, but super friendly staff! We ordered the Senegalese Vegetables with Shrimp. Oh. My. Gosh! It was absolutely delicious 😋 Will definitely be back next time we're in town.

Easy to order, fast and friendly service. Tried the meatloaf. It was good. The vegetables were really good. I was surprised to see outside seating here. Next visit I'm getting a dessert.

Great food, but that was the only thing the cafe had going for it. The food was very good, but, considering the price, the lack of a wait staff was disappointing. We had to go to the counter to place our order and pay before we were served. Like an expensive McDonald's, but not as clean. There was dirty water dripping from the ceiling. I wanted to go back the next morning for more delicious breakfast food, but the rest of the experience had me looking for other options.

First time experience. Food was delicious. Great menu options, GF for those who need it. Had the breakfast bowl, Turkey burger and some pancakes! Some really good desserts, but didn’t partake. Neat place, friendly staff and clean. You will be satisfied at the Mosquito Cafe!

Mosquito Cafe is busy this morning! The line stretches out the door! I ordered chicken salad. It's yummy! Hubby ordered French toast on raisin challah. It is awesome! Three of my grandchildren ordered delicious kids pancake meals. One grandson ordered rosemary chicken alfredo and thinks it tastes wonderful. The restaurant is loud, with many echoing conversations. It's a convivial place, for great food. Recommended!

Excellent food, all relatively healthy. They don’t have a deep fryer. I had Senegalese vegetables with shrimp and it was delicious, similar to a curry, with coconut milk and sweetness and slightly spicy. We were able to get a bottle of wine with dinner. It’s counter service which wasn’t bad but might not suit some.

Stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday and the place was PACKED. I'd wager that speaks to consistent quality that people enjoy. The menu was fairly carb heavy, but there were appealing options. The prices are higher than I'd expect, but it is what it is. I paid just over $100 for a group of four (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 kid). The service was solid. Lots of smiling faces and positive attitudes. They got the food out quickly too. The venue feels small and cramped when a lot of people are there, but they also have outside seating. If you sit outside be mindful of flies. I don't think I'd go back to this place, given the prices, but it was worth the shot.

Vegetarians rejoice and Vegans proceed with caution. I saw vegan options online and made the mistake of assuming the status of their veggie burger. I had to sort through some feta and mayonnaise but it was very good after that! For all I know the burger itself was not vegan (I opted to take a don’t ask / don’t tell approach once I had it). I know I could have re-ordered but it was my fault, hence the “proceed with caution” advise. My husband had the chicken salad sandwich and loved it. All in all, we were really happy with the place! I just need to follow my own advise next time. Owner: how about making the veggie burger vegan too? Then the vegetarians could add Mayo or cheese? Dog friendly patio!!! Lots of space and the service was excellent.

Great food, very filling without making you feel stuffed. From burgers to warm goat cheese salad, you just can't go wrong eating here. Go here, eat and be happy.

We tried this place for our last morning breakfast. It was a little warm in the building but that’s preference sometimes. The food was amazing. Their hollandaise was probably the best we had all weekend. Mimosas were okay to be. I would certainly visit this place again.

Good old restaurant. May be due to the holiday period, we had 30 min wait to get inside for the brunch. Food was ok, didn’t feel any wow 🤩 factor. They only serve normal coffee, and sending people to their another shop opposite to road to get espresso coffee, was lil bit disappointing. But overall good service. Thank you 😊.

A great local cafe with lots of charm. Menu is full of sandwiches, salads, tacos and burgers. Brunch closes at 2. They also have wine. (2 people-no drinks-$30 w tip) Tried the pesto pasta and shrimp tacos and they were both good! The pesto pasta was more of a salad and the tacos were a bit simple but satisfying. The patio was nice and spacious and people even brought their dogs.

I recently visited Mosquito Cafe and was unfortunately underwhelmed by the food. While the atmosphere was nice and the service was friendly, the food was mediocre at best. Given all the rave reviews, I was really looking forward to an amazing meal, but was left disappointed. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. I hope they can step up their game in the future and match the high expectations set by their reputation."

We have always enjoyed Mosquito Cafe. We have been to brunch on the weekends and lunch as well. Tonight we had supper and it was delicious. We had the Turkey divinity and Salmon club sandwich. We cut them in half so we each had some. We were not disappointed, very flavorful and well cooked. We’ll be back!

1st time to this restaurant in Galveston. Wide variety & unique choice of foods. Everything was prepared fresh and pretty fast. It wasn't busy on a Tuesday afternoon. Staff was kind. The parking outside is a little awkward if you have a large car but the restaurant is worth a visit.

The atmosphere was cool and laid back, and the food was fantastic. When I read the menu, the crab omelet looked unique, so I tried it. The omelet tasted great. If I return to Galveston, I will come back to explore more of the menu.

I took my family to breakfast here on a Sunday. We all ordered different items and were completely satisfied with the portions and quality of food served. Pictured is my Lox and Bagel plate, the Lox remind me so much of the salmon my mom used to cure at home. Delicious! I recommend going before 9am, as soon as we ordered... The line was stacked to the door. Also plan your meal suing the online menu as it is a order and grab a table style restaurant.

Great Mimosas, Breakfast was decent, the kids loved their big fluffy pancakes, Buttery cheesy grits, & eggs. I think this is more of a Intimate Cafe, and our big party of 10 was a alot. Substitutes were hard, they didn't have any chicken or turkey options as my family don't eat red meat but We made do with sides like potatoes & crab/ shrimp. I Would definitely come back with just Hubby & I because the staff was so nice and accommodating.

This is a have to eat at little place … it is so peaceful and unique I enjoyed every second I was there … there is a specialty shop inside the restaurant we went after my baby doctors appointment and I was thankful to be eating such good food for my baby … the service is perfect the food out of this world delicious… the bathrooms sanitary and the dinning area spotless for it to be so full of plants and pictures and culture…. The only thing that seemed to be a problem is the fruit flies it’s not the first place and won’t be the last place that the infestation is annoying and that is the only reason it didn’t get 5 stars…. We will for sure visit here again keep up the awesomeness… xoxoxox

It was good for what it is, but it didn’t excite us at all. Vegan Review: We brought our dog and sat in their outdoor area. My husband and I each got the breakfast bowl. I altered mine to make it Vegan. It was really the only vegan option. They kept the breakfast potatoes and sautéed spinach, then replaced everything else with mushrooms, artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes, asparagus, and avocado. I was happy. None of it had much flavor but we poured hot sauce all over the top and liked it.
