This is a nice hotel, I prefer to stay here while in Galveston. All rooms are Ocean view. If there is a situation with accommodations the error is quickly modified. We were welcomed to take our bikes into the room and that was a plus. The concierge name is Edward and He is a wonderful person. Breakfast is very good and plentiful. Overall a good place to stay.

After a rough start to our trip and trying out 2 places that were less than desirable, Canyon at the front desk was sympathetic and extremely accommodating for us. She helped us find the perfect room for our stay. The room was clean, HUGE, and the bathrooms were well kept. Beds were comfortable and seemed to be updated as well. We were there for my daughters dance competition and Canyon made her feel so special every time we came and went from the hotel. Breakfast management was on top of their game keeping tables clean and the buffet in order. Next trip to Galveston we will absolutely stay here again! Can’t say enough good things about their staff. Good customer service is hard to find these days. 5 stars!

This place is in a great location directly across from the beach. Unfortunately it's not a very safe crossing from the hotel to the beach as there is no intersection from a road or a designated crossing area so cross at your own risk. Check-in was quick and easy and access to our room was no issue at all. Parking lots were in the front and back of the building so that was nice to see and no extra charge. We were on the third floor. Upon inspection of our room it was nice and clean although some of the furniture looked worse for wear but they were clean and sturdy so it was all good. We were very very delighted to see that there were no bugs. We spent two nights there. There was a lit fishing pier not too far of a walk from there. Nicely placed, there is also a snow cone stand and a putt-putt golf course right across the road from the pier. We later discovered there was a go-kart track not too far from there also. The pool area was okay but it was a little bit too cold to take a dip in the pool. The hot tub was the main drawback because it was not very hot at all. I don't think it was working very well either day we were there. Overall our stay was very nice and the staff was pleasant and helpful.

Great quieter ocean view rooms for a small family to stay at for an affordable weekend price. super easy walk to the beach, and check in and check out was a breeze, we would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed having a patio to walk out onto to see the direct ocean views in the mornings and evenings. Parking was also great and well lit and made us feel comfortable ensuring our vehicles were safely looked after while we slept. Breakfast is very basic with scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Some cereal and yogurt and fresh fruits. Coffee, tea and juice were also available which we appreciated!

Best place to stay, hands down. Great rooms, and if something isn't right, they make it right so quick it'll make your head spin. Breakfast is awesome! Bacon, eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, bagels, and juice. My only issue was the dining room was ice cold. The location is very good. Very close to all the fun. You don't have to pay for parking, and the front desk people are just absolutely lovely. When I come.back to Galveston, we will be staying here again. Pro Tip: Don't get a ground room with a view. You'll only see other paisanos trucks.

The location is perfect beach front. But AC was a great issue. It stops working at night. Some security issues we had at night if you park behind the hotel please I highly advise be careful of your surroundings there's no security at the back. Breakfast was excellent.

Good sized rooms with all of them facing the ocean, but you can only see the ocean through the window. All have a balcony, but AC for room blows hot air on balcony. Breakfast included and pretty good. Service at this hotel was a mixed bag. One woman at desk was pretty bad, while another was very helpful. You must request room cleaning each day or you get nothing.

Overall, I had a nice stay. The front desk lady was very nice. Parked in the front lot and it was well lit...felt safe parking there and walking outside. The room was spacious. No carpet in the room...big plus. I didn't see any pests. Great view of the ocean. The room seemed pretty clean, however I did notice a couple hairs in the shower and on a towel. I never use hotel towels for bathing and I wear shower shoes, so I didn't make an issue. Balcony was clean and had two chairs. A small table would have been nice though. The indoor hallway to the rooms was very warm, but at least the room was cool. The a/c system was quite loud, inside the room and on the balcony. Was kind of annoying. I would likely stay here again. It wouldn't be my first choice, but a viable option.

I'm pretty picky about cleanliness so was happy to see no carpet in the rooms. Only bad thing I didn't like was our shower curtain had mold on it. Bed was comfortable and ocean view was nice. Very affordable but building was older.

Great ocean and pool view!!! Spacious rooms. Very clean and nicely appointed. Staff was efficient, but not very friendly, thus the reason for the four stars. TV remote was working intermittently only allowing me to see two channels. I just wanted to watch the news while I got ready in the morning and was unable to do so. Ample well-lit parking lots. I was only there one night, but would definitely stay again.

Having children, I prefer to stay at a place that offers breakfast. Unfortunately, the line was about 20 minutes and on top of that the daily selection is the same. In my opinion for the number of rooms and people, they should have two lines going. My daughter’s made waffles the first day and had to use sugar free syrup, leaving a bitter aftertaste. The next morning, once more they made waffles and asked for regular syrup. Alba rudely told them that they ran out of regular syrup. So they ended up getting rid of their waffles that they waited 20 minutes for and just eating toasted bread and butter. Later, while prepping to clean she told her coworker to pull some regular syrup out of the drawer and remove the waffle maker. Witnessing this was extremely upsetting, I’m staying here Monday- Friday and already this experience on our second day. I don’t understand why she was rude and dishonest. I could of stayed at a cheaper hotel and bought bread and butter. Also their breakfast ends way too early at 9am; we are on spring break and stay up late fishing. I also think the rooms are way too dark and need a safe deposit box. In all fairness the front staff is sweet and rooms are big and clean.

We booked through Expedia 2 rooms, and they got our booking wrong it was supposed to be 2 queen bed for one room and 1 king for the second room. They had us for 2 rooms, both 1 king bed each. We did not want to wait more, so we took it. Check-in was supposed to be at 3:00 pm according to our booking, and the receptionist said they do check ins until 4:00pm again to choice but to wait. The rooms were nice and big and the view was great. Prices were also very affordable. Overall, it was not exactly what we wanted but we were ready there for the beach, not the hotel, so it was ok.

It’s a little further away from the businesses on the Seawall but I had a pleasant experience checking in early, the beds were comfy to me, but not so much my bf. Pillows were fluff, room was cool. The only complaints I had was that the balcony is somewhat closed off so we didn’t get the best breeze and the ac blows the hot air into it, but I think it would be that way with most rooms. And I guess they stop serving breakfast at 9 which is pretty early so that was a bummer. Overall it was a good stay.

Great experience there. Big clean room with a great shower head. Pool is kind of small but it's really nice and clean. One of the best Continental breakfasts I've seen at a hotel. Great location right across from the beach and close to a lot of things that we wanted to do. Will definitely come back here next time I go to Galveston

Pros: Every room has a full ocean view with a balcony. I kept my balcony door open my whole trip to hear the wakes and enjoy the breeze. Breakfast was great (Glenda was lovely), and I appreciated the tea/coffee available in the lobby all day. Cons: The beds were quite hard. The refrigerator in our room was stinky. Balcony chairs were extremely uncomfortable.

The staff is amazing. I left in such a hurry in the morning but I left my charger and my charger cable and they are holding it for me. They didn’t steal it. Yay for best western The staff was amazing, especially Miss Becky at the front desk super kind and friendly and wish us all well. I will definitely be back.

Great hotel. Right across the street from the beach. All rooms have an ocean view! Great for families. It if west of all the busy "bar/night life/restaurants/entertainment". So its a bit more quiet and the beach is not so crowded. Friendly staff. Clean property (well as clean as a beach hotel gets, Sand gets everywhere). Definitely coming back!

Nice view. Ac doesn't work in most rooms. Hallways have no AC at all and it's 100° Our balcony doors wouldn't open maintenance had to take the whole door off and replace it. Maintenance guy was super creepy tried to hug and kiss me I even told staff they didn't seem to care he came in my room to fix something else and wouldn't even leave until I said my husband is calling. Asked for some kind of discount and pretty much told to just leave and be quiet. 1300$ wasted. Ice machine was out of ice most every time I went. It was just a mess but you wouldn't think so just walking through the doors.

Love the balcony view of the ocean with a clean and spacious room! Comfortable bed and refreshingly effective blackout curtains. There was absolutely NO INTERNET in the room, only available to us in the lobby area. Breakfast was fair, predictable, but fresh and hot. Beach was just across the (busy) road. Be advised, no walkable restaurants or activities (except the beach).

Clean good sized rooms with a big TV with dish network. Our room had a very comfortable bed and a large couch. There's a balcony overlooking the ocean. Great complimentary morning breakfast spread. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

2.5 hotel. Very very basic and pretty old. Could use a good overall cleaning. Booked a King, they ran out and got two double beds. Not friendly check in girl. Pretty old hotel. Small balconies and even older balcony chairs, but a nice view. Wouldn’t stay here more than one night and for more than $120. Only stayed here because booked last minute and weren’t planning to spend much time in the hotel.

Cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at near an ocean. Maintained and in great shape. Inside hallways are a plus. Nice size breakfast room, fun Texas shaped waffles, just wish they would’ve switched up the food every other day. Extra large hot tub. Pool could have been 3 degrees warmer. Otherwise great choice by the ocean. No hotel in Galveston is directly on the beach, there is a busy road between the hotels and the ocean. Ocean was warm for a March visit.

Great view of Gulf. Pretty good breakfast. Cold air and comfortable beds. Bathrooms a little to small for my comfort. All in all would stay here again.

Sorry to say that I got my worst most experience here for my 4 nights stay at this property. Location if perfect with Ocean view, balcony and 400sqf room. But the cleanliness is horrible. I had to literally beg then clean my room/ housekeeping is horrible, toilet slide door broke and fall on my wife, my child slipped couple of times because bathroom floor is not friendly. Toiletries are low graded, ac horrible, hotel lobby dirty and smelly. Breakfast menu is good. Outdoor pool is good with a hot pool and shower facility. They are extremely short staffed. I was wondering why did I pay $250 nightly rate to spend 4 night here with my family 😕

The rooms are clean & spacious. The hotel has some normal wear & tear to be expected for a highly visited beach location but overall it's a great stay. The ocean facing rooms all have balconies with full view of the water. Plus it's on the condo end of the island & more quiet than the upper East end.

Canyon, at the front desk, was incredibly amazing and helpful!!! I called to check on the possibility of an early check in and she went above and beyond to accommodate and help me out. The room is impeccably clean, terrific gulf view, quiet and very nicely styled and furnished. The beds are comfortable, the balcony is awesome and great water pressure in the bathrooms. I'd give this hotel a 10/10 and Canyon a 20/10! PS... Canyon, your hair is on point and your makeup is amazing! ~Ms. IllinoiSSS

Equivalent to a Motel 6.... our rooms were unavailable when we arrived at check-in so we gave them an extra hour to get them clean however this did not happen so we were forced to either choose Queen rooms or cancel our 4 day stay. The hallway AC to the fifth floor never came on and was extremely hot and smelly. The laminate floor in our room had never seen a mop because my feet were black after walking on it. The overall condition of the hotel was dirty and grimy and had not been kept up or maintenanced. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

We love this hotel, it's in a great location and the view is absolutely beautiful! We arrived earlier then we expected and they were able to get us into a room, the rooms A/C was amazing, we got cold at some points in our stay and had to turn it up. The only complaint I have is the mattress was not very good, we could feel the springs coming through and we leaned to one side. Overall, our stay was perfect!

The view from the balcony was very relaxing at night listening to the waves. During the day, the busy road took away the ambiance. The room was much larger than expected, and the pull out sofa was a bonus. The TV was in an odd viewing location for both beds. The breakfast was only until 9. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was not a lot of parking or parking near the doors due to the layout of the parking lot. The pool was closed. The hotel was not within walking distance of restaurants or shops. There was no crosswalk across the busy road to the beach. The hotel lobby and hallways had nice seating areas. Budget value for a view.

Our stay here was great and affordable with AARP discount. The room was spacious with a nice balcony facing the gulf. Very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The free breakfast was plentiful and had great food. They provided bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy. Not just muffins and cereal like a lot of hotels offer. I have stayed at different hotels in Galveston, including a high end and very expensive one. The expensive hotel room was small, not very clean and disappointed me after staying at the Best Western Plus. This will be the hotel I stay at again on my next trip to Galveston. I loved staying here!
