I’m
a
local.
I
brought
a
friend
of
mine
visiting
from
out
of
town
to
get
gel
pedicures.
I’ve
been
to
this
location
a
few
times
since
moving
here
and
have
had
a
better
experience
than
the
other
salons
on
the
island.
We
both
chose
packages
in
the
higher
end
and
gel
polish.
During
the
beginning
of
my
service,
I
was
up
sold
to
the
volcano
package
without
realizing
because
she
told
me
to
pick
a
scent.
I
was
confused
and
another
lady
shouted
from
another
chair
to
choose
one
because
“it’s
good
for
my
feet
and
smells
good”
I
still
didn’t
understand
because
I
didn’t
think
it
was
part
of
the
package
but
she
kept
insisting.
My
friend
realized
what
happened
and
firmly
declined.
She
chose
the
hot
oil
package
and
did
not
even
get
hot
oil
during
the
service.
We
started
at
the
same
time
and
some
how,
even
though
I
was
now
paying
for
the
most
expensive
treatment
I
was
finished
15
mins
before
her.
I
didn’t
know
my
service
was
over
until
I
realized
she
was
already
helping
someone
else.
We
both
left
with
GEL
polish
on
our
skin,
uneven
paint,
we
had
to
ask
repeatedly
not
to
round
the
nails
until
we
just
gave
up.
Upon
payment,
we
were
offered
a
discount
for
paying
cash,
so
we
did.
She
handed
the
lady
$10
for
her
tip.
Before
she
had
a
chance
to
pull
out
another
$10
for
the
other
person,
the
lady
at
the
register
held
up
the
$10
and
shouted
“$10
for
two
people?!”
At
that
point
I
was
absolutely
humiliated
and
horrified.
We
should
have
taken
the
tip
back
completely.
I’ve
never
been
treated
so
poorly.
I
usually
tip
15-20
for
my
service
but
I
felt
it
was
rushed
and
I
was
not
happy
with
the
result.
Neither
was
my
friend.
My
service
was
$86
after
being
upsold.
Plus
$10
for
the
tip.
I
am
incredibly
disappointed
and
will
not
be
back.
