Our group had a wonderful time at Galway City Distillery. Best gin & tonic I have ever had. The highlight of our visit was the tour from Jim, who was very welcoming. He had fantastic insights on local history and it was fun learning about their distilling process. For a big group of 13, this was a great experience. Definitely stop by during your time in Galway!

Firstly before complimenting the drinks, the staff and service they provide is second to none. The atmosphere is chill and relaxing. I've always enjoyed cocktails but the selection provided is very different from other establishments and frankly I was blown away by several of them. I will be returning.

We had one night in Galway, and I’m SO GLAD we stepped into this building. From the minute we sat down, Mattie had us taken care of. The up-lit room was gorgeous, the cocktails were amazing, and the story of the place had us rapt. The focus on foraging, reusing and up cycling, and the attention to the history of the city was something above anywhere else I’ve been. Truly stunning, and a MUST visit if you’re traveling through.

The single best Gin and Tonic I have ever had. Too many house made gins available to just have one, you have to try a few... At least. They also have a great rotating menu of drinks that are absolutely bonkers and insane - but insanely delicious. Definitely worth a stop!

An absolute must-stop while in Galway; adjust your plans to come visit if you haven't already. Awesome atmosphere, fantastic drinks and the staff went above and beyond to make this the highlight of our stay. The bar is a great "drinks after dinner" option. The cocktail menu rotates seasonally and the staff is encouraged to experiment and come up with new drinks. Between clean, sharp G&T's (they make their own tonic) and the smoked-birch glass on the old fashioned, everything is unique and memorable. Even if you're not super into gin (like me), you definitely don't want to miss their gin class. A 3-hour experience that absolutely flies by. You'll learn about the history of gin, process of distilling, and ingredients that go into a gin. You then sample the smell/taste of 25+ ingredients p adjust the flavor profile. Finally, you select a few (feel free to ask the staff for recommendations) and distill your own bottle of gin to take home. The entire time you're sampling old and new gins they've come up with to give you inspiration. We each ended up with our own personalized crafted bottle of gin; snacks and several cocktails were included during the lesson. As someone who isn't the biggest gin fan, and who has toured several breweries and distilleries, this was far and above the best tour/experience I've ever had. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and made us feel like part of the team. Jim, Steve, April, Bruce (awesome job!) and everyone involved were absolutely fantastic. We're already planning a return to Galway, and the distillery!

Had the pleasure of a couple of cocktails at this place one evening and was blown away. The cocktails were some of the most interesting flavour combinations I’ve ever had and really good value for the flavour and quality. Those working there can tell you pretty much where all the ingredients come from, how they’re made and we loved that a large proportion is locally sourced. I particularly enjoyed a smoked whiskey cocktail using birch bark and a cucamelon cocktail. The venue itself is stunning, despite being so big it feels cosy and intimate. We sat at the bar and learnt that over 80% of the materials used in the refurbishment are recycled materials including from the original building. I hope this place is a big success for Galway as we felt it was special and would thoroughly recommend a visit.

This place is great! What makes it great is the staff! Jason was so damn friendly! He explained how the distillery worked and it was fascinating! The space is beautiful! My partner and I nearly crashed a work function(the food table looked amazing!)but we realized we needed to get to the other part of the distillery where we met Jason. Such a great place! And we went back for coffee the next morning and the lady who was there was just as great too!! When I'm back, it's definitely a place I will frequent and often! Loved the mirrors on the ceiling and the hanging boat!

Super friendly staff and great cocktails. The menu changes seasonally. The building is really cool and the seating is comfy. They are going to have distilling experiences in the future where you can create your own fun. A must stop in Galway!

I really loved the interior design and concept of this new bar, cafe, and distillery. Such an amazing space with incredible attention to detail everywhere you look. Owner and staff were highly knowledgeable and generous with their attention. I only had a delicious morning latte and cookie, but I am excited to return for the artisan crafted spirits at the next opportunity.

Excellent spot for cocktails in the heart of Galway city. Every staff member was really friendly & welcoming. Drinks were great & a little bit different to what you’ll find in a standard cocktail bar. Matt went above & beyond for us to make sure we had a really enjoyable experience here! He explained how the drinks were made & the best way to drink them. Will definitely be back to work our way through the rest of the menu. Thank you!

We were considering dropping into Galway distillery already for a while but somehow did not manage. But this time after visiting x-mas market it was on our way back home 🏠 So, we came for a few drinks. The folks did a really fantastic job by creating a very cozy atmosphere there not speaking about the drinks menu, which they change every few months. Everything is prepared only of what grows in Ireland plus what is produced in the distillery. We opted for three different drinks. In my case, that was cardamom with fenugreek gin. The taste was very balanced and smooth. Of course, the staff was friendly and well willing to explain the subtle details of the drinks🍷 menu.

My wife and I have spent a week traveling all around Ireland and this was by far the coolest place we visited! Not only were the cocktails amazing but making and bottling your own gin in “Gin School” was incredible! The staff could not have been kinder! Don’t go to Ireland without stopping here

After a city walking tour i wanted to try some local spirits - found this distillery. They were extremely welcoming and guided me to two perfectly made drinks for my liking. Unique menu with delicious cocktails. Had the corcra and the feilire both on Their recommendation and both were delicious in their own right. Highly recommend for their cocktails, relaxed and clean environment and their genuine hospitality. Thank you from California!

My husband and I were looking for a nice place to grab cocktails while it poured outside. This place had some great cocktails, service and vibes. It was quiet while we were there and exactly what we were looking for. I'd absolutely visit again and recommend.

What an absolutely amazing experience! We entered as a group of 13 not knowing the tour schedule and realizing the next tour was 3 hours later. The owner, Jim, just happened to be in the distillery at the time and gave us a private tour. The drinks are sensational. It is evident that intense care is taken for every single product produced. Would 100% recommend if in Galway!

An awesome experience ! Highly recommend taking a tour throughout the distillery and trying one of the best gin and tonics that has ever existed! We just had to come back later on when the full bar opened to try additional cocktails. We were impressed! They were extremely unique, well-balanced and delicious. In addition to the Gin and Tonic, the Féilire and First of the Summer Wine were some of our favorites. Absolutely would love to come back one day for a masterclass next time I am in Galway!
