MCDonagh’s
is
a
popular
fish
and
chips
restaurant
in
Galway.
You
walk
in,
order
your
fish
of
choice
to
be
fried
(Cod,
Salmon,
Whitting,
etc.)
at
the
counter
and
seat
yourself.
We
were
a
family
of
four
and
knew
what
each
person
in
our
party
wanted.
We
were
next
in
line
to
order
when
our
daughter
sat
at
a
table.
She
was
scolded
by
the
employee
for
sitting
at
a
table
before
ordering.
She
explained
and
signaled
(by
pointing)
that
her
family
was
currently
ordering.
The
worker
continued
her
condemnation
until
we
arrived
at
the
table.
Our
fish
was
fried
well:
super
crispy!
However,
there
was
no
use
of
seasoning.
The
fish
was
bland
and
inedible
without
the
garlic
sauce.
The
chips
were
the
worst
chips
we
had
while
in
Ireland.
They
were
soft,
mushy
and
also
without
seasoning.
The
ambiance
was
festive,
causal,
and
filled
with
Irish
charm.
Personally,
we
wouldn’t
go
back
again
and
it’s
hard
to
recommend.
