Just wanted to take some time out of my Sunday to make note of the most bizarre customer service I've ever experienced. We tried to order drinks and the server was extremely dismissive and told us that actually no, we couldn't even sit where we were sitting because the table was reserved 45 minutes later. Alright? We only wanted one drink as we waited for the torrential rain to pass but were treated with hostility. I work too damn hard to waste my free time and money in an establishment with such low regard for their customers. Won't be recommending this one to friends and family.

We ducked into the Dail to wait out a passing shower and to enjoy a pint and an Irish coffee. The atmosphere was a wonderful integration of modern and traditional with all the brass and woodgrain you would hope for along with a high tech lighting system that stays hidden but provides a perfect and even warm glow to the environs. We were a bit chilled also, so decided on bowls of hot soup. My wife had the fish chowder, a delightful combination of fresh and smoked fish in a silky cream base. I had the soup of the day, carrot sweet potato soup. My first time having this soup but the rich savory creaminess and the complexity of flavors quickly made this one of my favorite fall soups. We would absolutely recommend The Dail as a must stop destination while shopping in Galway!

Went in for a bite to eat as a solo customer... Was pretty full downstairs so asked if there was a table available and was told there should be some upstairs. Went up and was also very full up there. Asked barman if there was a table and he said I could sit around one of the pillars which had a very narrow shelf around it and was really only suitable for drinks. I asked if I could eat at the bar where there were several seats and now room for eating but was told they don't serve food at the bar. Decided to take the pillar seat as I was pretty hungry and I sat waiting for about 10 minutes with no staff coming near me to offer me a drink or a menu. Stopped a girl passing and asked for a menu and she was very dismissive asking if it was only me as they're not supposed to serve food around the pillars. Anyway she gave me a menu and I waited again for her to come back and take my order... And waited, and waited. Eventually I got up, gathered my belongings, told the barman the service was really bad and left. Definitely won't be returning and if I could give zero stars I would. I feel like if I was there as part of a couple or a group I would have had a very different experience but as a solo customer I was invisible to them.

Best pub in Galway, no doubt. Door man is a pure gent and the chicken wings are top tier. No need to go anywhere else because this place is the proper job

I swear the Guinness tastes better here 😄. Good food, service and a festive atmosphere near a really fun section of Galway, Ireland.

I came here to kill some time while waiting for a watch battery replacement. It is a very nice place with bars on two floors and friendly, helpful staff. There is a good range of beers and whiskeys. I only stopped for the one pint of Guinness and did not eat (having finished a full Irish at the Skeff earlier). I will come back to the Dáil, happily!

We went to Dáil for lunch and the food was fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. The soup of the day was only 5.95€ for a good sized portion and a side of bread. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. Dáil is a great place to get a traditional Irish pub experience in Galway.

Popped in for pint on a rainy afternoon. The staff was incredibly welcoming. Drinks came out quick. And though we did not eat there, the food we saw looked pretty tasty!

We had Melina as our server and she was awesome! She was willing to chat with us and put in the time to make us feel special in Galway. Bulmers cider is a must and the homemade sticky toffee pudding was probably the best we have ever had. Being Canadian it was nice to have a server check in on us and make sure we had everything we needed plus just chatting with us and making the time for the connection. Thanks Melina! We will be back.

The environment is amazing. For those who wants to drink the Guinness and others famous beers in Ireland that is a great place. The service is very helpful. When I went I asked a steak and fries and it was fabulous. The location Is fantastic in a very touristic and busy area in Galway.

The guys behind the car were all extremely helpful, attentive, and nice. They put on the NFL game for us on the TV and even engaged in some commiserating. We had wings and fries as well as a few pies of Guinness. Nothing to complain about. Live music on this night (Monday) which started at 10:30pm. We enjoyed it.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! Cosy pub downstairs with beautiful wooden interior, then chic vibes upstairs with a colourful glowing bar. Very good for gluten free (I’m coeliac) and tourists - I got the nachos and brownie which was so delicious. Also great cocktails! Attentive staff and clean environment. Can’t wait to come back when I visit Ireland again! ❤️

FOOD HAVEN!!! We had our most delicious dinner in Ireland here. Food is fresh, nice served and tasty. Prices are reasonable 10-18€ per main dish, 6€ for dessert. I highly recommend this pub to everyone who is visiting Galway and wanting to eat some Irish food.

Went here with my other half. The food portions were more than enough, I got the chicken tenders which is more chicken than bread coating, which I'm happy about. The drinks were ranging from 9-15 euros, they were given in cool drinking glasses and tasted fantastic. Will come back here again

Visited here twice during our stay in Salthill. The chowder is tasty, as is the toasted ham and cheese sandwich. Good quality food at very reasonable prices. Child friendly, service with a smile, good Guinness. Didn't feel naff and touristy. I recommend :)

I recently visited Dail Bar in Galway and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance was lively and the staff was welcoming and attentive. One of the highlights of my evening was trying their delightful range of cocktails. I started off with the Zombie cocktail, and it quickly became my personal favorite. The combination of flavors was simply sensational, with a perfect balance of fruity and tangy notes. It had a refreshing twist that made it stand out from other cocktails I've tried. If you're a fan of exotic and tropical flavors, the Zombie cocktail is a must-try. Next, I ordered the Peach Cobbler cocktail. It was a sweet and fruity concoction that was incredibly refreshing. The peach flavor was prominent, and the subtle hints of other fruits added a delightful complexity. This cocktail is perfect for those who enjoy lighter and sweeter drinks. Moving on, I tried the classic Mojito, and it didn't disappoint. The minty freshness combined with the zing of lime made it a perfect choice for a summer evening. The Mojito at Dail Bar was expertly crafted, with just the right amount of sweetness and a balanced kick of rum. It's a timeless drink that never fails to impress. Finally, I opted for the Gin & Tonic, a classic cocktail with a twist. Dail Bar's take on this popular drink was exceptional. Overall, Dail Bar in Galway is a great spot to enjoy delicious cocktails. The Zombie cocktail, with its unique blend of flavors, stood out as my personal favorite. Whether you're in the mood for something tropical, fruity, or classic, Dail Bar has an impressive selection of cocktails that will satisfy your taste buds.

Absolutely loved this pub! Delicious food, great atmosphere, amazing playlist, and the service was fantastic!!! Our server was Kerli and she was so friendly, warm and helpful. Gave us great beer selections and even suggested some places around town to visit. We had the Fish and Chips (flakey and perfectly fried) and the Classic Sando (grilled ham and cheese) with the soup of the day (potato leek). Also had the Sticky Toffee Pudding (so light and airy, perfectly sweet). Would run back to this place in a second!!! Can’t wait to visit Galway again and come back to our new favorite spot!!!

Tasty food with our favourite drink in a spacious and clean setting. We had the Chicken Kiev & the Seafood Chowder with 4 Guinness and it came up to $€47. Very friendly and attentive service. Came at 5pm on a Friday, too early for the live music that happens around 11pm (according to the staff).

Went in this bar to have a quick dinner in Galway before driving back to Dublin: the high reviews this place have are very well deserved! Typical Irish pub atmosphere, I tried soup of the day and dessert of the day, both were awesome. Of course amazing Guinness; well done!

Food was fantastic and as the weather was terrible in Galway we sat near the fire which was brilliant as were the staff especially the manager who helped us locate the butchers where they get there burgers and bacon ! I got the steak burger which was lush ! Very reasonable prices too! Treat yourself and call in. Went back at the weekend and treat myself to the fish and chips which was fantastic probably best I've had in Ireland

We only had drinks. The bartenders were great. I told them generally what I liked and they came up with the perfect drinks. Prices seemed on par with the area. They also had wine and beer, but definitely a place to go if you want a cocktail!

We were a group of 5, shown to our socially distanced and spotless table by a friendly and funny member of staff. We were left a minute or two to get settled before a lovely young lady came and took our drinks order. We then ordered good, which was delivered in a safe and timely manner. We all ordered something different and all dishes were fabulous! Perfect amount of service, attention and space from staff. And the Guinness was perfect too! Well done to all concerned.

Was there going to celebrate my birthday,no one attended until a waiter came and mentioned the restaurant is till 9:30pm.Can be understood. Was queuing and a couple jumped the queue. We were then brought to a smoking area which is extremely stuffy. The waiter took the name and contact and didn't help to take order. He said someone will attend us but we waited for 10 minutes. The waiter kept asking where I am living while I just stayed at an apartment in vicinity.Asked the staffs within for an order,no response and laughters loud to the kitchen. The couple was placed in the dining area with good location, non smoking, middle of the upstairs while I and my friend left in the stuffy smoking area and asked to turn on the heater my own.Left enraged then the waiter said I can order for you.Truly irrational dining services.I am not a tourist and for your information, the flights to Ireland mainly are postponed due to the cases in Ireland. Probably won't be there due to the disrespect.Sad this segregation still happening in 21st century,2020.More to improve, haha

Super nice Pub with good music and food! We easily got 4 places on a Thursday afternoon in March. Other times of the year, I would make a reservation in advance. We had tipical Irish food which was really good! As well as the good selection of beer and whiskey. I loved the decoration with many lovely details and visible history of this typical Irish Pub. There are many local people. We would come back!
