This expanse of wooded/park area extends out to the Headford Road, just outside Galway City. It is broken up into different areas that include Sandy Road towards Liosbaun/Riverside and also across Bothar Na dTreabh towards Tirellan. It also has areas on the left of the Headford Road, outbound in Terryland. A small tributary of the River Corrib, the Terryland stream, meanders through the forest, making for an interesting outlook. The forest is full of all sorts of wildlife, with a lot of tree planting evident. Far from finished at the moment, a walk through it is definitely worth it. Some areas are accessible by gravel paths and it is sometimes hard to believe that it is just outside the city!

Unfortunately this "park" is in really bad state. Bottles, rubbish everywhere. Not safe for small kids to walk as whole path is uneven. No easy access either as one of the entryway is always blocked by car. Can't access with buggy. Shame for Galway City council. Like rest of the city" parks".

Refreshing walks amidst Sylvan surroundings - a great place for a lunchtime stroll on one's lunch hour. Easily accessible and plenty of free parking dotted around.

Grate for running or walk on a fresh air. Could do with some fitness area with pull up bar and dip platform...

A beautiful spot, but more litter picking needs to be done and sometimes it's not safe to walk through with druggies and drug paraphernalia in there hanging around

Probably one of the worst parks I've ever visited. Not maintained or cared for, not easily accessible, little to no amenities or services in it for the people of the city. A disgrace on the part of Galway City Council.

Fab forest lots of trees and grass as you would expect in a forest a lot of clean oxygen too it's essential to keep a good walk going, plenty of streams running through it in case you need a tinkle like I did hope this helps all the best one love ✌🏻️
