Some nice pitches and facilities, but lacking on parking if there's more than one match.

One of the largest parks in Galway. Kid and pet friendly. Properly maintained walking roads and play courts. There is a community hall which hosts loads of events.

The kids loved the rather long and steep slide. The zip line wasn't suitable for them without help, my oldest is 7. They needed help at holding the seat whilst climbing onto it as it was high. Also didn't go very fast. The little playground was grand, something in it for all ages. I had ages 4,5 & 7. Equipment seems well kept. We also had a 3 month old with us and did a lovely walk around with the kids and buggy. It's a great outdoor space for the kids, and dog if wanted. Parking was easy too, I got a spot right beside the playground. I had a potty in the boot for the 4yr old, I am not familiar with the facilities available there as not a regular place for us. I also had my own snacks and drinks, i didn't see a shop/coffee shop.

My only problem here is that the park is too small,I'm taking about barna Woods, imagine walk for a longer than 5-10 min on path way. 30 min is a dream because it's really magic place.

Fantastic park in knocknacarra, great place to walk your dogs, it backs onto Bearna Woods so you can walk in there as well, there is a playground for the younger children, and loads of sports on the pitches

Struggle to get parking but it’s a fine facility. The flies are lethal in summer tho so bring your insect repellent

This is one of the best places to go to in Galway. The only con is that its incredibly difficult to find parking here.

Cappagh park is a great place to go. It's in a great area, it has a large parking lot and features a few pitches, a playground and a woods. This is one of my favourite places to meet with friends. Highly recommend
