I had my hen party in this hotel and it was excellent. The food was delicious we had Afternoon Tea, Dinner and the pizzas in the Avery and it was all brilliant. The staff are the friendliest, from the waitresses to accommodation staff everyone was helpful and we were always greeted with a smile. I will definitely be back and would recommend to others. Booking for a big group can be stressful but the reservations staff made it very easy and always kept us informed.

Rooms are Blah!! The rooms in the photos are the upgraded balcony Rooms. The majority of the rooms are plain. Hot water, 32 in TV and basic linens. These Rooms have NO AC! You can get an old school fan delivered to your room to help ventilate. The windows only open 3 inches which limits ventilation. The Bar is nice and Restaurant is also nice! Staff are very friendly! They do their best to make your stay nice.

I don't know where to start, we've booked the hotel because of the great and comfy rooms like in advertising. I guess the rooms are good but not in the D wing. The room was filthy, and the bathroom was a disaster. The food is good, tasty and quality but the room and the bathroom are different stories, especially for the price they are charging. I do not recommend this hotel, maybe for a cheaper price I'd recommend it but the price they're asking just doesn't justify the quality. Instead, it's way better to stay in Maldron Hotel in Galway.

Lovely hotel rooms we ideal for what we wanted them for. My only issue was breakfast really chaotic massive queue took us 45 minutes to queue for food. As everything is in the one area people who are queuing for fruit and cereal are in the same queue as people for hot food which slows everything down. If the hot and cold were separated it would cut the queue and it would move faster. The food itself was lovely.

Really enjoyed our few nights' stay. Great value for money. All staff very helpful and the food was amazing. The gym and swimming pool area are as good as any I've visited. We will be sure to return.

We stayed here for a couple of nights for the Galway races. My brother and I had a wonderful experience. The staff are very friendly and truly go above and beyond to help. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Check in and out was straightforward and Sheila at check in is a delight! The food is also good quality for both breakfast and dinner.

The hotel is 25 minutes from the town centre so not that handy. The room we were given was a long long walk from reception and two lifts were needed to get there. It was supposed to be an upgrade. I think the receptionist called it a suite, but all we got was a standard "business type" room you'd get in an airport Hotel. The bed was actually smaller than most hotels now offer as standard. The shower was a spray attachment over the bath. Very disappointed. Substantial breakfast though.

Everything about the Connacht Hotel was good, including the value for money. Staff are efficient and pleasant. Management is attentive and helpful. Food was excellent and the music in the bar had us dancing until closing time. The pool and spa was also excellent.

Large hotel located a few kilometers from downtown Galway. Easily accessible by car with ample parking space. The rooms are basic and a bit dated but still very comfortable. Due to its size, breakfast can be busy at times and you may need to actually book a table. The biggest plus is probably the room rates and cost of drinks at the bar... very affordable. The only downside is the daily live music in the bar. The performance itself is good but it's just too loud. Impossible to have a conversation.

Just enjoyed another all too brief stay over at this lovely hotel. At least my 7th return trip so very confident to recommend highly. Lovely staff, nice very clean rooms, and a good location. Management go above and beyond to ensure guest comfort and meet requirements. Ten out of ten.!!

We had a fantastic experience during a family visit to celebrate our father's 80th birthday. Lovely hotel with great swimming pool, kid-friendly, very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast and dinner. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful decor but not allowed to join a family group as we were having drinks only. Very inflexible. Only one table had people seated. Lovely coffee dock in lobby.

Excellent location, staff friendly and helpful and invested in their customers. There was a dodgy tap fixture and the pull-up mirror had a wonky lever (not sure how to describe the mechanism!) so we struggled with it a little, which was a bit disappointing considering the cost of the stay, but everything otherwise great. Lots of space in the room. Very clean and we had a comfortable, quiet night's sleep - all the more impressive as it's a very busy hotel. Would stay there again.

I was at hen party here a week ago and we had the best time the hotel staff were lovely. Especially the 2 security guards Anthony and Tony they were so nice to us all we had such a laugh with them and they made our stay so pleasant. Top men they are and so helpful when we couldn't find our rooms so patient with us.. Top class men..

The room was lovely. However, save your money and don't go to the restaurant. The soup was cold, there was no cutlery, they took a long time to approach the table, there was no waitress on the floor to even ask for sugar for our tea, which was handed to us in dirty cups and broken teapots, microwaved chicken was put into our pasta when it arrived without chicken even though we payed the 3 euro extra for chicken, and no one checked on our table once. But other than the restaurant everything was, okay.

Large hotel with lots of room options. We stayed in a room with 2 twin bed and a queen sized bed. The room was an ample size for the four of us to get ready in the morning and move around a bit. The hotel staff was very helpful during check-in and asked if we would like to do their breakfast in the morning. We added the breakfast cost (14 each) and enjoyed a beautiful breakfast buffet the next morning. The opinions were amazing and everything was fresh, hot and tasty. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant two nights in a row. Each person in our party had a different menu item and everything was fantastic. The dessert was amazing as well. Our server was friendly and attentive. The hotel has a pool and gym (which we did not have a chance to check out). The only issue we had was one of the beds was not clean/ changed. Someone in our party called down to inform the front desk. They apologized and someone came up with fresh sheets in about 10-15 mins. We think the sheets were not changed because they didn’t think anyone slept in the bed but pulling the top layer of blankets off there was hair and miscellaneous small items on the bed. Overall despiste the one bed not being clean our stay was enjoyable. The staffs friendliness helped us to enjoy or time as well.

Great food, Staff, Bar & Restaurant. Rooms a little dated but clean. Corridors very quiet even though hotel was full. Bit of a trek into Town. Overall though a nice stay. Would stay again.

Excellent hotel near the centre of Galway. Clean room, very friendly staff, many addizionali services (swimming pool, kids club), very good breakfast. Only negative note the absence of the fridge in the room. Alnost high price but it's right for the services offered.

Stayed here in August 2023. Rooms were right next to a huge industrial air conditioning unit/ventilation system, which stays on 24/7. Room was too hot (no A/C) so windows had to be opened, so was extremely noisy in the room. (See photo and video). We were also woken up in the middle of the night by returning revellers, and found spilt drinks and puke all over the lift and corridors. Raised this with the manager; the only response he gave was 'if you are coming back we would give you a very good rate'. These rooms should not be allowed to have customers in them at all. Hotel has a glitzy front but was falling apart once you get about 10 metres beyond the reception. Had to make reservations for breakfast but still had to wait more than 30min in the queue. The restaurant was extremely noisy; full of hen/stag parties and children. Almost zero service - we felt sorry for the staff there as it was obvious that the place was inadequately staffed.

Lovely clean hotel, rooms are a good size. We requested adjoining rooms and got them, thank you. Pool was lovely but too busy. Breakfast was nice but sadly no coffee machine. Come on connacht hotel!! It's 2023 and the pot of coffee on offer is less than palatable. Coffee shop outside restaurant but you must pay. Zoe the waitress was outstanding. Free parking and plenty of it. Service in the bar area by wait staff is almost non existent. Var staff are attentive though. 12mibs by taxi ti the city centre. Perfect. Hotel wasn't cheap but is certainly worth staying there.

I haven't had the pleasure to stay here yet but I contacted the events team with a query and they instantly came back to me, I was enquiring about Christmas and while they do not offer what I need, they were very accommodating in providing recommendations for other places that might. It is very much appreciated and shows they are on the ball when dealing with queries from potential guests. Thank you. Have a great day.

Nice hotel. Room was OK, shower was cold. Pool was fantastic but showers are not kid friendly, go off every 10 seconds (I timed them) and were very hot. My pool loving child refused to return a second day because the showers were so bad. Room service was great and the staff were very helpful.

Definitely not worth 300€ for a double room, we’ve stayed in the old part of the hotel which definitely needs an upgrade. The room was quite basic, dated and had cheap furnishings. There weren’t any tea bags, only instant coffee in the bedroom. The ironing board had no under cushion, had to use the bed. The hostess at breakfast was a bit rude, though the breakfast itself was of decent quality. Definitely not coming back.

We were overwhelmed at how amazing this hotel is. Huge family suite with separate rooms, kitchen & hallway.. incredible pool, kids club morning & evening, decor was outstanding and the staff were 100% wonderful in everything they did to make our stay perfect. They left a goodie bag & cards to our daughter as my daughter chose Galway to spend her Communion weekend. We loved it so much, we rebooted straight away, when we were checking out!!! Can't wait to go back! Xxx

Modern and clean. Beautiful hotel. Friendly attentive staff. The food let's it down as will probably have to go to the chipper after eating there as portions are absolutely gorgeous to taste but very small.

This is a very busy, large scale hotel. Staff are very organised, helpful and pleasant. Had the Pork Belly starter, would have liked thicker slices as it was very good. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast was good. Good location, will stay again.

Excellent and friendly service! Front staff were very helpful and quick to respond to requests via telephone from the room. Irish Breakfast was reasonably priced for so much food. Food quality was also great. Clean rooms and quick service. I would stay here again!

Hotel and facilities excellent. Food excellent and good value. Bar could have been better staffed with long wait times. No residents bar. Presume its hotel policy but security ushering hotel residents from lobby area once bar closed. Have not experienced this in any hotel previously. Having said all at I would stay again.

Mixed reviews hence the score. Hotel and staff were mainly pleasant. Had dinner on the night which was fantastic and good quality and portions. However lunch the next day was like a different kitchen all together; small portion, lack of flavour and when we gave feedback, it didn't seem to matter much. Great leisure centre, room might benefit from robes/slippers but again its not 5* so maybe can't ask for everything. Seems very family friendly :)

A pleasant experience without being exceptional. Rooms are basic but relatively comfortable. The pool was excellent. Staff were generally enthusiastic and helpful. I'd say that it is an ideal hotel for conferences and big groups of people.

Lovely hotel, great buzz around the place, the Kids Club was a real bonus - my kids loved it! The staff were excellent, really pleasant and helpful. Some noisy hen and stag parties disturbed our sleep the first night but the hotel was very attentive when we raised it with them.

Stayed in a 1 bed apt. for 2 adults and 2 children (4, 6mths). Great space in both the bedroom and living space. Had issues with heating not turning off but would not let that put us off staying again. On city centre outskirts so a little far to walk there but a lot of other shops and amenities around.

Nice Hotel, good location. Needs updating, especially the bathrooms. Bed was lovely and comfortable and room nice an snug. Hotel decorated lovely for Christmas. Didn't have breakfast this time, no time, but wasn't overly impressed last time. Nice hotel, worth a stay, good for kids.

The hotel is very large and a walkable distance (about 1km) from downtown Galway. Rooms are a bit dated, but were clean. We arrived with a couple of large tourist groups overwhelming the staff a bit during our stay. They did a good job, but there was just a lot of us there. Bar is nice. A band played at least a couple nights we were there. The pool and rec area is large and very nice.

Fantastic stay. Hotel is so modern and the atmosphere was buzzing. Staff were friendly, attentive and so helpful. Room was very clean with a lovely view of a football pitch. Had dinner on the first night followed by a few drinks and a delicious breakfast on both mornings. Short walk to the city centre with a regular bus on the doorstep. 10/10 would certainly return again!
