Delightful cafe. I was warmly greeted at the door, and thankful that the shop was not overly busy at the time. I’m sure it gets packed at times! Had a very hearty bagel breakfast sandwich (one of the largest I’d seen). This place caters to locals and tourists. Close to the tail/bus station and they offer an area to place your luggage while you are seated.

Phenomal find! The staff and the owner are so friendly and amazing. The food is delicious and cappuccino was fantastic! We ordered simple fried eggs with toast, and a chicken and chorizo pesto sandwich on sourdough baguette. It was perfect and fresh. Glad we stumbled upon this gem of a cafe.

Great spot for a coffee and breakfast, their chicken sandwich is a definite must try. Staff are exceptional and if you have just arrived in Galway they will cater to have your big travel bag stored in a room so you able to enjoy your meal without all the extras around you. Highly recommend!!!

We had a wonderful breakfast before catching a bus to Dublin. Our cappuccinos were delicious and we loved the croissants. We had a very nice waiter and they also stored our luggage while we ate.

The best pancakes I’ve ever had so far ❤️ . The people here are so kind especially the owners Colm and Caryl, the best couple. I strongly recommend people to visit this place at least 20 times whenever you are in Galway. 🫶 Love from India 🇮🇳

Amazing food, and extremely friendly staff. I ordered a breakfast toastie on brown bread with an Americano to wash it down. The sandwich was much larger than expected, and will definitely hold me over until dinner. The coffee was perfectly brewed, and was very enjoyable to drink black. I will absolutely be stopping here again before I leave town.

Authentic Gaelic hospitality with food bursting with love. Really pleased with this find. The portion sizes are not on the small size and all our food was great. I rolled the dice with the goat cheese salad which was balanced perfectly. Rest of us had a mix of sandwiches including a large club. The head server( think he was the owner?) Was very talkative and warm he made you feel it was his home not only a business.

I had very good vibes as soon as I entered this place. We've been welcomed by a very kind and funny staff. I had the full Irish breakfast and an americano, they served everything straight away in less than 10 minutes! Everything was delicious, bacon and eggs perfectly cooked, and nice coffee. I would like to go back in time and have this breakfast again!

Attentive and kind service, food was always very delicious. Went several times there, most times for breakfast. If you like sweet stuff, I recommend the strawberry biscuits milkshake.

A first rate experience from beginning to end. Colm and Caryl and their excellent team make you feel welcome as soon as you enter. The service is friendly and professional and Colm gives his time generously to all his patrons. I especially liked the way he made time for the children at the next table. The food is superb and there is a special allergen menu if you require. I particularly liked the fact they heat the pots and mugs for the tea, ensuring it's piping hot. Can't wait to return.

Oh man! This place is a must go to in Galway! Food sooo nice and you can tell it was cooked at the moment you ordered rather than pre-heated.. super reasonable price considering it's in Galway city center Staff was very friendly 😊 Older man was nice and you could tell they like their job lol Will be back

The friendliest and warmest of welcomes from Colm. What a delightful cafe with the best choice of veggie breakfast delights, I just had to return for a second visit during my stay. Already can't wait to come back for another veggie breakfast sandwich and a bucket sized coffee. Loved it.

Everything looks so appealing. Generous staffs and great atmosphere. A must try if you are in Galway. Had an amazing time here.

THE BEST service, TASTIEST food & CREAMIEST coffee’s! We loved the energy from the staff and the food so much here that we made it a priority to visit again on our last day. We wish we’d come in sooner!

Fantastic spot. Everyone you interact with is so friendly. The owner is super nice and chatty, has a word for everyone. And the attention to detail, people sitting beside us had a ketchup sachet and he noticed, went and got a small scissors as he said they can be difficult to open. Amazing customer service. And the food was delicious as well.

The biggest attraction in Galway it was him, the Majestic Collum! The owner and the funniest guy ever! 🤩 such a joy and bless to meet people like him! 😇🤩 And the breakfast was absolutely delicious! 🤩😋

Owner was super welcoming and accomodating. We came as a group from Malta and he greeted us with a smile! We ended up going back 3 times and we were only there for 4 days. Highly recommend this place. Everything on the menu is top notch! Keep up the amazing work, Colm!

Nice atmosphere and good service. The coffees are well done. The vegetarian options aren't good. It's stuffed beans as a sausage, and almost rubber for the other meat. The bathroom is VERY clean.

We had breakfast here both days we were in Galway. The manager and staff were all so nice and friendly, and actually welcomed us back, even though it was full both days! They all seemed happy to work there. We thought it was a bit pricey at first, but then realized the portions were quite large and worth it. The service was good/fast and food was great. If we had stayed longer in Galway we would have ate there every morning.

Such a lovely place and staff were so friendly and welcoming! Great selection on the menu and all day breakfast which is hard to find (not sure if that’s just weekends or everyday though). Service was quick and coffee was great (they offer 3 different sizes too). Only thing was there was no music playing so found it a bit awkward and quiet but maybe the radio just wasn’t working that day

  • 3/5 Caitriona M. 2 months ago on Google • 5 reviews New
Nice enough food, fairly basic. Handy if you want to grab a bite before getting a train as it’s located very close to the station. The staff are nice and the service is fairly quick. The cafe itself is very tight the tables are extremely close to each other, you kind of feel like you’re sitting in with others around you.

Delicious food, great service, and friendly staff. You always get a fantastic welcome in Esquires! The vegetarian breakfast was excellent and it is varied: no sad looking tomato and egg! Veggie bacon, sausages, hash brown, mushrooms, beans, toast, eggs, etc. Wonderful. The only disadvantage is the lack of veggie salad or sandwiches. But that's a minor complaint. Otherwise, well worth a visit.
