RIP OFF!!! RUDE OWNER! This is probably the most expensive campsite in all of Ireland. I would not recommend to anyone, if you can find an alternative, go there. The place cost €140 or something ridiculous like that for 2 nights in a camper van. And on top of that, the owner has the audacity to charge €1 for a couple of short minutes in a lukewarm shower that is covered in fluff, hair and dirt. €0.50 a minute for hot water to wash your dishes and €10 to use the washing machine to wash your clothes.. Absolute joke! There are even signs up saying you are not allowed to hang your clothes outside to dry.. haha! The expense of the place wouldn’t bother me so much if the owner wasn’t such a smug, arrogant and rude individual with zero customer service. Another time we visited, we asked for a spot right by the sea so we could have a nice view of the sea.. later that evening, the owner placed another camper van right in front of us blocking our view, not even in an official camper van spot. Cramming in as much people as possible. That just says it all really.

Lovely location for a campsite. Just situated outside Galway city but still having the great feel of the Atlantic wild coast. Facilities were great such as the showers and the toilets along with communal kitchen. It was a shame not to have power available on the area for our tent but we understand it’s for health and safety reasons. It is a pricey location to stay at so do shop around before hand.

Beautiful location. Spoilt a little by overcrowding of Motorhomes over the weekend which took the view. Showers are chargeable but clean and warm and water for pot wash is also chargeable. Great base to explore the local are and Galway city as well as the WAW.

This man is so rude if he doesn’t want people to book then he should change his website, it offers a booking form and of course nobody replies, no one answers the phone, it says arrive from 11.30am onwards. We got there early sat in a cue of three, he opened reception, I only showed my face in the door and he was extremely bad mannered and rude, there are nicer ways to tell people you have no vacancies and at least try to help them find somewhere else. Avoid this place and go to Spiddal Caravan & Camping Park, they are so lovely, friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the campsite for 3 days. Site is immaculately kept. Management and staff are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to stay there if you ever in Galway.

Do not understand the business they are in: they want you to plan your entire holiday according to their willingness to accommodate you and cannot guarantee a place even if you arrive at 1100 in the morning (start of check in). Can continue bad practice (a caravanpark with no reservation or booking system that guarantees a spot) because of non existing local competition.

I was camping here and to charge for pitching a tent in their field is a disgrace. Ground it not flat in most places and good luck getting a peg into it, as about 5 cm below the ground is about 90 % stone. Facilities just okay and could have used a good clean especially around the sinks in the shower block.

Facilities here are top notch and cannot be faulted. The whole site is spotlessly clean and very well tended. There is a fantastic view of Galway Bay from your park up site. This was our first time here after a recommendation (Tony) and we will definitely be back. This site is slightly more expensive than most but you get what you pay for and this site in my opinion is faultless. Thanks Sean for the park up on arrival and checking in with us throughout our stay.

NO TENTS. That is what the man told us one hour before dark during a storm after we arrived on a bus. He told us the nearest campground was 10 miles away. He didn't seem the least bit concerned about our situation. We wild camped that night right next door next to the golf course and we were fine. The logo on the office door has a tent. Other reviews say they tent camped a month ago. Not sure what we did to be turned away but I guess we saved 40 euros or whatever the other folks paid TO SLEEP ON THE GROUND. Just imagine the kind of morals a person would have to run this place in this manner. Must be a true sociopath

VERY POOR EXPERIENCE €80 for one night in a small tent is extortionate and €26 more than advertised on their website. The tent area was very overcrowded and we ended up pitching our tent between cars as there were no tent pitches left. There was a group of underage people drinking at this supposed family friendly campsite that made quite a lot of noise. Instead of actually dealing with the problem the security guard continued to stop us and tell us about it as if it had anything to do with us. Staff were not helpful and made it seem as if it was not their problem and it was our own fault. Location was very good and Salthill is a lovely town but this campsite was atrocious and I would not recommend, we decided to wild camp the next night rather than stay in this campsite again.

I stayed here 2 weekends in a row. The first time in a caravan. The second in a tent. The caravan pitch was perfect. Right on the ocean edge. Facilities are fantastic and spotless. My only fault is that the pitches are quite close together. But that's the case in a lot of popular campsites. The second weekend in the tent was also a delight. Thanks partly to the weather. But a great happy vibe around the place. I will be back.

It's a nice camp site on sea front , first class equipment, ie showers, kitchen, toilets and very clean , with great views, of the mountains, but the beach is worst, I have ever seen, so you can't go for a walk on it, it's expensive, you pay for everything extra over the pitch price, this is the best, you pay 50cents to wash dishes, 10 euro for washing clothes and 10 euro for drying, also had to move van every time I needed water, ridiculous, guy at reception , need to be sent to charm school, as he can be a bit ,,not rude , but just below, loses 2 stars from me, sorry , but its the truth, the bus to Galway is just outside gate, but when it brings you back, the last stop is about 1 kilometers away for camp, so be aware of this, it's the 402 from Eyre Square no 6 stop

Having stayed at many campsites around Ireland and Europe this one is by far the worst. First off it was the most expensive and everything else cost extra, showers cooking etc. The facilities were basic and old fashioned. And now to the clincher! The owners of this place are the rudest and most unwelcoming people I’ve ever encountered in a “so called”hospitality business. We wanted to cancel the second night and had to fight for a refund. And to top off a generally miserable experience the whole place smelled like s***! Pay attention to the poor reviews folks! Unfortunately there aren’t many campsites around Galway city, it’s crying out for Aire type accommodation. But DO NOT STAY HERE.

This site was lovely but the owner I felt was quite rude. I told him our electric lead was not long enough for the port but whe wouldn't move us even though there were spaces available and suggested we pay 50 euro for an extension lead!

Top marks, lovely people so accommodating fantastic facilities with amazing views. The walk to the beach along a costal walkway very handy a easy to get to the beaches and prom and the apple tart was a nice touch tasty too. Definitely will be back.

Nice campsite, good facilities and even a Crepe Van. Stayed here in a tent several times over the last few years. Ideal base to hang out in Salthill with my son. Amusements, Ocean, Swimming Pool, Cinema all just a few minutes walk away.

It's in a beautiful location right on the sea front and close to Salthill to walk in. We walked into Galway also only about 3 miles away. It's a bit expensive but very clean and good amenities

Very friendly staff. Facility is spotless, camper's kitchen, restrooms and shower block. Plenty of camping space, dog friendly but also means you may be awakened by a cranky canine. Laneway by the park connects to the Salthill promenade. A pleasant 1km walk connects you to beaches, restaurants, bars, cinema, grocery/convenience stores and Galway aquarium.

Loved it. Camped here for 2 nights (2 adults, 2 kids) . Toilet, shower and kitchen facilities were spotlessly clean. 10 minute walk form Salthill prom. Very peaceful and well supervised. Can't wait to go back.

Awesome place to stay in, so many services available to make your camping experience easier, showers, kitchen with cooker, fridge and microwave, toilets. We enjoyed our camp there for a night and will be back to stay longer next time.

Pros, stunning location and views, well kept and clean. 402 bus to Eyre Square for shops and pubs. Cons, cash only, appears to be a sliding price scale depending on how busy they are based on other campers prices paid, motorhomes rammed in like sardines. Definitely not minimum 3m between vans.

It's a lovely location and in walking distance to Galway along the sea front but the wash/dry facilities are expensive and in addition to the overnight stay fee. Couldn't get through on the phone so just turned up and they could accommodate us thankfully.

We camped for just one night; it was a good location. Close to Galway but peaceful! The tent camping area was just a big square, no fires, etc. That was a bit unexpected, but the restrooms/showers were clean and tidy; the campers’ kitchen was clean and tidy (we stored our food in the frig overnight with no problems), and there was a nice view down at the end of the camping park. It costs a €100 for 1 car, 2 tents, 5 people overnight.

Very helpful and excellent facilities. 40€ seems to be the going rate for a tent in prime locations, which I think is a bit high, but it is what it is. Also, there is even a charge to use the hobs in the kitchen, which I've never seen before. Bit all things considered, very recommended

Love this place. We turned up in the middle of August without a booking and they couldn't have been more helpful. They put us on a lovely spot overlooking the sea. Got all the amneties you could need, only downer was they charge 1 euro a shower.... That aside the place is ace and less than two miles to the centre of beautiful Galway, best pubs on the planet

Unfortunately we can not recommend this camping, although it is nicely located and close ti the city. The price for one night for 2 persons and a tent is too high (40€ in august). Additionally you have to pay for showers, washing up and the kitchen services. The showers for 1€ don’t last 5 minutes. The camping area for tents is not even on the campsite, but before the official entrance gate and beside a walking path, which makes it very noisy, especially during nights and mornings.

We had an amazing stay here for 2 nights camping. The views are absolutely stunning, bathrooms kept so clean and all around the campsite nothing I could fault. 5 minute stroll to the beach was absolutely perfect and the walk all along the prom into salt hill was gorgeous. Will definitely be returning soon and will be recommending to all my friends and family. Thanks for the lovely stay 😁

👍👍 What lovely owners! We had spent the previous night at Salthills next door (what a rip off) and were delighted to be able to move here. They were so welcoming and helpful. The site is quiet, on a bus route into town, and the facilities are clean. Highly recommend.
