The
most
outdated,
unprofessionally
run
clinic
I've
ever
been
to.
The
secretaries
are
under-informed,
sometimes
take
weeks
to
respond
to
basic
email
queries
and
consistently
give
out
incorrect
information
(rather
than
double
checking
with
the
GPs
when
needed).
I
also
got
the
impression,
like
many
of
the
commentators
here,
that
it's
all
about
the
money
and
getting
the
patient
to
come
in
as
many
times
as
possible.
This
was
the
case
even
during
peak
Covid
and
before
the
vaccines,
when
coming
into
a
clinic
unnecessarily
should
have
been
discouraged,
if
anything.
I've
recently
had
the
misfortune,
a
week
or
two
after
coming
a
long
way
from
a
different
town
to
the
clinic,
(I'm
unable
to
register
with
a
local
clinic
due
to
Covid)
of
discovering
that
the
receptionist
had
given
me
incorrect
information
regarding
an
important
prescription
while
there,
due
to
which,
I
was
now
told,
I
would
have
to
return
to
the
clinic
from
a
long
way
away
for
another
appointment.
Even
more
troubling,
after
complaining
about
this
incident
I
was
initially
promised
a
free
follow-up
appointment
with
the
same
doctor
-
orally
as
well
as
in
written
format
in
my
mailbox.
I
did
some
thinking
and
asked
whether
there
was
any
reason
we
couldn't
make
it
a
phone
follow-up.
The
response
was,
that
should
be
no
problem.
On
the
day
of
the
supposed
phone
appointment,
instead
of
getting
a
call
from
the
GP
I
was
scheduled
for,
I
got
a
call
from
Dr
Higgins
who
denied
that
it
would
have
been
possible
to
accommodate
my
prescription
with
an
over
the
phone
appointment.
Upon
explaining
the
miscommunication
from
his
staff,
the
reply
from
Higgins
was
"This
is
the
system
we
have,
it
works
95%
of
the
time."
Not
a
word
of
apology
or
vague
notion
whatsoever
of
compensating
the
patient
for
their
trouble
by
allowing
for
the
free
appointment
that
was
originally
promised
in
the
first
place.
If
all
this
wasn't
bad
enough,
when
I
eventually
attempted
scheduling
this
follow
up
appointment
a
week
or
so
later
with
the
original
GP,
Dr
Higgins
instructed
his
secretary
to
disallow
for
any
scheduling
unless
it
was
with
him
personally.
Is
that
even
legal,
I
wonder.
I
was
also
promised
a
referral
by
the
original
GP
which,
after
some
back
and
forth
with
the
office
about
my
preferred
location,
was
altogether
ignored.
Needless
to
say
I'm
registering
with
a
different
clinic
the
first
chance
I
get.
