STAY AWAY (receptionist) I have been a patient in this clinic for years and I have been very happy with the service from the doctors. However, Veronica the receptionist has to go. She is rude, incompetent, condescending and demeaning to the patients. She is a bully and unfortunately going to the doctors has become such a mental ordeal to overcome because of the thought of her. She is unpleasant over the phone and in person. Reading through these reviews is upsetting to see how she is getting away with her behaviour. If you suffer with anxiety - please - do not go here because she will make going to the doctors as unpleasant an experience as she can. It's such a shame that she is in a position to mediate your healthcare because the doctors really are good.

While Doctor Maura is a really great doctor, all visits to this clinic are overshadowed by how horrendous the receptionist (Veronica) treats patients. She has, on several occasions, shouted, been rude, cold, cruel, dismissive, unhelpful and honestly truly terrible her treatment. This is not the way to treat people who are vulnerable, sick, and at their lowest ie going to the Dr. Like other reviewers, I too have put off calling the doctor just out of a strong aversion to having to deal with her. She is rude in person. She is rude over the phone. She is rude every visit. Initially I adopted a "must be having a bad day" approach, but she is so genuinely rude and abrasive in every interaction it is enough to make someone want to change clinics.

I had a fantastic experience here. My 18 month old son was ill, it was Friday evening, we were visiting in Galway and couldn't get a GP. Was turned off here by the reviews but rang when I couldn't get anyone. The receptionist was lovely on the phone and had a slot 20mins after I called. Once we got the paperwork filled out the GP saw us. She was fantastic with the baby, explained everything and got him on the right track. Common sense no fuss. Would definitely enrol with her if I was living locally. The reviews didn't seem to match my experience so hopefully the business gets them and can resolve.

My doctor was lovely in this clinic but I had to change GP as both receptionists that work here are something I have never experienced before. I visited this clinic on several different occasions and every time was greeted with a serious attitude and hostility. Also the fact I was not allowed contact my doctor directly or without an appointment made life very difficult considering how horrible both receptionists were

Rude receptionist. Went to collect a form for my aunt - who just had surgery and rather than hand out the form (straight forward) she insisted she already filled it. I wouldn’t be asking for the form if she didn’t need it obviously. The negative energy from this woman is overpowering, I could feel it in the pit of my stomach. Overinflated ego with this lady and no need to be difficult to anyone especially from a doctor surgery where people feel unwell and out of sorts. I feel bad for the patients who go here and have to deal with that attitude at first point of contact.

I thought it was just me, thank god. I've always thought the receptionist was rude and gave her the benefit of doubt , putting it down to a bad day. But jeez , this woman is bad, if ya don't want to be there, just go, she's training in another woman and it looks like she is learning well. Had to go in to get a prescription because the phone service is worse than Sky when ya wanna cancel. Was told I had to go buy a mask in chemist next door to come in, care would they buy a box of disposable masks. Thank God I don't have to deal with them . Am gonna change my Uncles doctor soon as. Terrible people to have employed in an environment of the medical profession, I'd rather suffer than go there again

Dr. Maura is great and very competent, but two of her receptionists are extremely rude. Two families I know already changed GP because of them and now I'm the third. I'm just after being given out to, out loud, in front of another patient, unprovokedly. I don't wish that on anyone.

Dr McLaughlin applied a vaccine damaging my ligament and creating an injury in my shoulder. 4 months after, I still have reduced mobility, to the point I can't wash my hair or get dressed without pain. I contacted the GP shortly after my visit to inquire about the pain, but the doctor hasn't answered any of my emails to date, theytook no responsibility, and as the reviews say, the receptionist are hostil and very rude. I am now spending a fortune on physiotherapy to fix the injury

Absolutely nightmare to deal with receptionist very rude and disrespectful It take two weeks to get the blood test results and still waiting charged for blood test and it should be free I will be moving from this practice and will be reporting this

Depression is a serious, sometimes life threatening condition that should not be treated dismissively. Would have done as well to consult a taxi driver as HRMC

I am patient in this surgery for many years.Dr.Maura is one of the most kindnes,friendly and very competent doctor always ready to help anytime.There is also new receptionist Iwona which is amazing always happy to help.Always pleasure to deal with this practice.Kids are often sick but always looking forward to go to see their doctor ❤️Thank you for everithing you do

Dr Maura is wonderful and always gives time to the appointment. Her team are helpful and efficient.

My experience with them started ages ago when Snake Dr. Cologhan was still present, who would do everything possible to not refer you anywhere. But not much changed since then: Receptionist still rude.Doctors keeps forgetting to check their healthmails and update you + constantly forgetting to send your referral.

******STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE ******* I think everyone should know what they are expected to find before going to this clinic from the receptionists, Veronica and Eilisa. These individuals are aggressive both in person and on the phone, arrogant, hateful, show zero compassion for patients, they are extremely rude and really treat patients in an appalling way. Their ways are degrading, despicable and downright disgusting. In my particular case, both of them have shown a cruel and aggressive attitude from the first moment I set a foot in this clinic. I could write a whole book about the abuse received by these two ladies (cutting me off on the phone and talking over me, trying to overcharge me at the clinic, talking to me in a rude way, always with aggressiveness and contempt, etc). In November 2020 I had an appointment to pick up some documents and when I asked them to please put them in an envelope because it was raining heavily and I was walking home, Veronica rudely and arrogantly told me to go to the supermarket next door , that they did not give envelopes and that she was very busy. She just walked off and shut the door on my face. In addition to all this, there have always been problems with paperwork and they clearly have no interest in helping patients, anything you have to ask them is a real torture since they either answer you negatively and tell you to leave or simply show the same attitude of aggressiveness and contempt. It goes without saying that these ladies treat poor patients this way because their bosses allow them to use such manners. That is the only reason why they can get away with all this. I completely agree with all the reviews made on this website: these ladies have to go and someone should do something to take care of the patients and stop this abuse immediately. In my particular case, I had no option but to change GPs as it was a real nightmare to simply make an appointment, especially when you are really sick and vulnerable and on top of that, you are treated badly and unfairly. I don't give them minus 100 stars because the system won't let me do so. Stay as far as possible from this place, your health will thank you

My friend recommended me this clinic because she loves the doctor. So I called there and the receptionist was extremely rude, I think she should change her job hahaha’ And she told me that they don’t get new patients. Unfortunately, I didn’t even have a chance to see the doctor.

Dr.Maura has been wonderful and always so kind and helpful however the receptionist is by far the rudest person I've ever came across. In person and over the phone, she is a hostile, rude, inconsiderate bully, and obviously does not like communicating or helping people. A number of times I've rang the practician and she couldn't wait to hang up on phone rather than let you speak. Such a shame as I found the doctors here wonderful but will have to move due to her unpleasant behaviour, which is obviously experienced by others that have left a review.
