Knocknacarra medical centre was great until they joined with Seacrest, now it’s almost impossible to get an appointment. An absolute joke of a place since going under new management! I’m actually looking for a new practice at the moment.

Ciara, the receptionist, hung up on my face when I asked how long is the process for the doctor to write a referral letter for me to go to the injury unit for a possible fractured ankle bone. She said there were no appointments and that she doesn’t know if the doctor could write a referral and told me that she is hanging up. A few minutes later I called in, got another receptionist who gave me an appointment. I hope no one will need to deal with this receptionist. Message to management: if your receptionist cannot work under the work related pressure, does now know your processes and unable to provide critical timelines then I recommend you re-train them or take other measures.

The receptionists have become doctors.. 3 week wait, unable to wait, 3rd time I've to go Emergency Departments to get antibiotics .. 🤷..changing doctors

Called the other day to see if a doctor could call us for an urgent matter after a surgery said they were too busy even for a quick 2 min call back for a referral, and the receptionist was so rude no call back will definitely be moving doctors

18 days now im waiting for blood test results. When i call, doctors are busy... Absolutely shameful behaviour and patient neglecting staff.

Dr Toiréas Moriarty was amazing to deal with, very warm, knowledgeable and I never felt rushed like I always have with other doctors. Would highly recommend.

Very disappointing to have my GP unavailable for a week and half after asking for an appointment. Then when asking to see any doctor as it’s rather urgent 3 days is their absolute best. If you can’t handle your patient quantity you shouldn’t be allowed accept so many new patients. Seacrest surgery was far superior. Downhill since moving to knocknacarra medical centre. Can someone email me regarding getting my full records sent to a different GP please. Update - since been contacted. They agreed to refund an overcharge I noticed and have found time to see me. Turns out alot can be accomplished by an email of complaint.

Made a phone call to ask if they were taking new patients and was answered with a prompt and annoyed "NO" before having the phone hung up.

Very bad at returning calls, they refuse to do house visits even for an elderly patient who has been with them for years. Took me 5 weeks to get an appointment for my mother and even then it was not with her own doctor. They don't have a proper record of what medication she has been given. Misdiagnosed a cist in her thumb for more than a year. The list goes on. Managed to find another doctor in the area.

They never call back and messed up a blood test.

Been trying to call to cancel my sons appointment and they never answer it…

Lovely staff, approachable GP. My kid loves it goes it without a freight and comes out smiling.

Made an appointment over the phone and whenni arrived they told me they weren't taking on new patients. Told me the number I rang must have been wrong despite showing the receptionist my call log where she confirmed the number was correct.
