After we arrived we were shocked how dirty our room is. We were able to peak into other cleaned rooms and they looked the same. Altogether the hotel seems like it used to be amazing but just got run down by not doing any maintenance. (The staff was friendly and the view is beautiful.)

Had breakfast with my family. Really enjoyed. Hospitality is better than others. When my daughter's outfit dirty with 🍵 they were put it in their laundry and cleaned without charging any. Mr. Chaminda, GM is a good person which has nice managerial abilities.

Staying at Oak Ray Tea Bush Hotel is a truly amazing experience. I would give the location a 10 out of 10. On one side, you can see Ramboda Falls, and on the other side, part of the Kothmale Tank. The staff were very friendly and really helpful. My other two friends and I traveled with our families, including children aged 8 months, 1 year, and 3 years. The hotel staff made all the arrangements for baby food, and we are really thankful for that. The food is tasty and worth the money you spend

Oak Ray Tea Bush in Ramboda is a paradise for tea enthusiasts. Nestled amidst picturesque tea plantations, the location itself is breathtaking. The tea estate offers guided tours where you can learn about the tea-making process, from plucking the tea leaves to the final product. The knowledgeable and friendly staff provide insights into the history and culture of tea production in Sri Lanka. Moreover, the on-site tea tasting experience is fantastic, allowing you to sample a variety of teas and appreciate their rich flavors. The tea shop offers a wide range of high-quality teas as souvenirs to take home. Overall, Oak Ray Tea Bush provides an unforgettable tea experience in a mesmerizing setting.

I did not stay at this hotel, but I did visit the tea factory/tasting room. Beautiful views from the tea tasting/store area! My guide was amazing! Her English was beautiful and she explained everything about tea making and the qualities of each tea. She was very patient with me with my questions and me taking photos and videos. The tea was delicious! They only make black teas here, but they have white and green teas to try and for sale as well! Remember to tip for the tour and tea tasting! I highly recommend the tour, the view and the teas here! Plenty of parking as well!

Visited this place October 2nd week. I point to natural beauty around hotel, It was superior experience in early morning outside view, Every room balcony design to see Puuna waterfall and hill view. Everyone should feel that beauty of nature. Room and the food is also good. But the buffet doesnt have variety of foods. But the experience is superb.

Foods are not satisfied. There are only two options to select. Don't order ala carte because it's only money wasting. Worst food ever. Not tasty at all 😣😣😣 Staff is friendly. Location and it's view is good.

Marvelous location in central hills of Sri Lanka. Sad to see the below average service levels, in a such great location. Convenient to visit most of the tourist attractions around Nuwaraeliya from here. Food takes ages to arrive..

Located around 20 km before Nuwaraeliya when moving from the Kandy side..The nearest attraction is Ramboda waterfall and other small waterfalls beside the road..This location has 3 shops (Gem and jewellery shop, tea shop with factory and wood craft shop) and the hotel.. The view from the hotel room is wonderful (faces waterfall and mountain view)... Room conditions and cleanliness are average. Hot Water available, Stand fan was available while AC was not available. TV size was comparatively small ( May be 24 inches) The staff was good, provided good service and supported well.. Food was average condition in the buffet..

Want to say big thank you to personal this hotel. my wife became very ill and all the staff helped us, was interested in her well-being, even fed for free, did not evict her from the hotel after 12 o'clock, because they knew that her sick wife was lying there. I want to express my gratitude to the whole hotel for helping my wife. you are very honest and respectable people. P. S. Beautiful rooms and view point

We have stopped for lunch and the staff mentioned that we can visit the tea factory free of charge if the customers are having lunch. But after having buffet lunch we went to visit the factory and the duty manager at the tea center mentioned it was not allowed to visit unless you purchased tea from them. So many miscommunications with staff and management. However after discussing with the duty manager they took us for a tea factory visit and it was well explained the process and really interested. Highly recommended for children for learning the tea making process, also tea shops prices are reasonable and quality tea. Even the buffet was good.

If you are heading towards “Little England”, Nuwara Eliya then this is a pit stop that you should never miss. It's got everything that you'll ever wish. Pleasant Weather, Breathtaking Views, Skilled Master-Chefs and to top it all an Outstanding Staff headed by Mr. Chaminda. We checked in for 2 days and it was during the dreaded Emergency with Curfew and being imposed due to economic crisis and Prime the day when the Prime Ministers resigned. Colombo was in news 24/7, but it was peaceful at “Oak Ray Tea Bush”. The staff ensured complete Safety of all the guests. During the curfew period, tourists were treated in royalty by the locals and the cops, even during protests. Our taxi was allowed directly for refueling without waiting in long ques that you all might have seen in the NEWS. At “Oak Ray Tea Bush”, we were served with sumptuous Italian and Indian food and trust me, they were very truly a “Gordon Ramsey” dishes to relish. I our newly minted Bartender, Omantha served his signature cocktails that gave us a gentle high and kept the ball rolling. Since it was my Husband's birthday, I planned a surprise that was well executed by the Staff. They also set up fireworks on the table with sky rockets that plesanly lit the darkness for a split second. All things considered, this place must not be missed if it's on our route. My best wishes to this awesome and adorable staff.

Located overlooking the lovely Ramboda falls and Kothmale Dam, Oak Ray Tea Bush Hotel was a good stop on the way. Hotel have a tea factory making different teas, a small jewelry shop and a souvenir shop. Was bit disappointed seeing all different kinds of coffees on the menu but there was no tea mentioned. Since Hotel name was yea bush 😉. But upon request we got a good pot of tea with different condiments like ginger, cinnamon, lime, jaggery to male a tea we liked. Loved the chocolate cake. Nice staff and beautiful place.

Great view. Sadly no body cares to welcome the clients at down satairs. And there was only one guy o serve the guests. Felt sorry about hin as he was running up and down to cater the clients and give speedy service. Management should take a serious note on this.

An excellent hotel in Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka. Rooms are spacious. The location is an excellent mountain view. Service is just superb, we been on our 29th Anniversary day and seen they know about it, the preparation was outstanding, separate space given to celebrate with bonfire, Manager Mr. Chaminda Bandara was very friendly and made our life easy with providing lovely veg food as we are pure vegetarian. Will never forget him as well service by all staff and it's wonderful location.

Lovely lunch buffet! We went there on the way home from Nuwara Eliya. The food - especially the pasta- was delicious. The bread pudding was a highlight as well. Good service too, and very reasonable prices!

Good ambience. IMO a tad hyped up by calling it a museum. And we had the Sri Lankan version of the Indian Masala Chai and the different level of immersed sugar was very high and evident on the first sip. Not my types.

Cooling and relaxing place, nestled in the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country, surrounded by stunning green hills and sprawling tea plantations. The real highlight of this hotel is the incredible views - We could sit on the balcony for hours, taking in the breathtaking scenery.

Superb location. Great view from the hotel. There weren’t alot of varieties of food but it was fresh and very tasty. Breakfast buffet could have been better though. But overall experience was very good. Friendly staff with good customer service. Will definitely visit once again.

We had a chance to have Lunch there. Though it was quite late for lunch we got all the options available there through a buffet system. The taste of the foods were on a good note. However I also liked the beautiful sceneries from there place. It was truly marvelous.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Oak Ray Tea Bush showroom museum, which is situated near the Ramboda Tunnel. The experience at the tea factory and tasting room was truly remarkable. The museum was a treasure trove of knowledge, providing an engaging and informative lesson on the intricate process of tea processing and packaging. It was fascinating to learn about the rich history and traditions associated with tea production. The experience deepened my appreciation for the artistry behind every cup of tea. The tea itself was fantastic! While they only produce black teas, they offer white and green teas for sampling and purchase. I highly recommend this tea factory and tasting room for a delightful and informative experience. For anyone seeking a delightful and informative experience, I highly recommend a visit to this tea factory and tasting room. It's an excellent opportunity to learn about tea, indulge in its flavors, and bask in the beauty of the surroundings.

This has been the worst experience I've had in whole of Sri Lanka thus far. This was a complete rip-off and a waste of money. Location Without a doubt, one of the nicest places for a hotel, and I think the manner it was built isn't awful too. The layout of the rooms is excellent. Staff Most of them are OK, but I believe their hands are tied or they lack the necessary resources, thus they are unable to meet expectations. Food Food is an abject disaster. The dinner consisted of inexpensive cuisine that was also incompatible. For example, our meal consisted of white rice, chicken curry, tempered cabbage, and chutney with papadam. Even a typical bath kade would not provide such food. Breakfast was served with rice, Seeni sambal, and Kohila curry, and all buns were served with margarine. A total waste of money. In the morning, one of the waiters was nice enough to prepare veggie noodles to fill the gap. It is OK to cut costs by using cheaper food, but such goods must be suitable and tasty. Cleanliness Overall cleanliness/hygiene and upkeep are non-existent, and the majority of the areas are soiled. I had to seek a room change since the lock would not latch from the inside. I was given another room, but it had the same problem. I stopped complaining since it was pointless to inform them. The hot water was not working correctly, and the lights were constantly flickering. The overall experience has been really negative. I will not refer anyone. If you want to save money, book a room only and manage your meals. Still not a worthwhile option. I was anticipating for more from Oakray. I am completely displeased. Please do not bother visiting, especially if you are going with family.

Those who like tea will like this place (those who don't will too). It is possible to get acquainted with the preparation of different types of tea. Of course, all of them can be tasted and bought. It is in a wonderful location with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. It's great to sit on the terrace and sip tea.

Very clean and spacious place with a beautiful view. Tea is good but bakery products not so. May be a general thing in Sri Lanka due to economic crisis quality of bakery items has gone down I feel. Place got a good wash room facilities.

The Best View combined with Ramboda Falls, Lake View and mesmerizing Mountains which are always romancing with the clouds. They have good food but limited choice of food but in a best quality. Also they have a pleasant staff and nice gesture towards the clients. Go for it no one will regret it. To he frank couldn't capture the total beauty of this place go and enjoy.

This was my most memorable stay at Sri Lanka! Place is located on a hill.. Which makes it chilly and beautiful. The view was breathtaking and good food was served. I was not satisfied with the room's cleaning Cuz it felt a lil dusty.. But otherwise clean bathrooms and beds. I love the service, staff were very nice and friendly. They even let us sit outside in the balcony in the night for the amazing sky watching experience. Photos don't do justice to the real experience I had! Sri Lanka is THE beautiful place one must visit!

The rooms were big and had a nice view. It's good if they can improve the cleanliness of the rooms (there were no major issues) and add a few more floor towels to their rooms. The food was tasty and fresh. The restaurant management and the staff were really friendly and helpful. They are doing a great job. We had a satisfying stay!
