There is no quality or beauty here as seen in the photos. We chose this place after looking at the comments.😓 But the washrooms here are not very clean. Water does not come properly from water taps. Hot water is not working properly.😪 But their food is very fresh and delicious.😋 Good breakfast, lunch and dinner are available🙂 Furthermore, this is located at a considerable distance from Nuwara Eliya town. The area is not as beautiful as it appears in the photos.🥵 Parking space is very limited.😰 This is a house where a family lives and provides accommodation facilities for tourists in three rooms. Tourists have to travel a long distance to reach this guest house and it is difficult to shift two vehicles on the road.🤧🤕 A better guest house than this can be found easily in Nuwara Eliya town and around Gregory Park. Therefore, I do not recommend this guest house.😊

The place was lovely, very clean room,the way they treated us was awesome. We enjoyed the atmosphere out there. Especially their food was incredible. I loved the lemon and mint juice. It was delicious. No words to express their service. Simply too good

Nice location. Food is delicious. We stayed 2 nights. Mr Udayakanth and the family gave a 5 star service. Highly recommend this place.

I stayed two nights in Nuwara Eliya and this place in particular is the best place to stay with good value of money! Location wise it is on top of the mountain, walking distance of about 20-25 mins from city centre and also the famous Araliya food court, Victoria Park and also lover's leap waterfall. The owner was super nice to drop me off at the train station for me to catch my train to Ella. You can basically ask him anything related to Sri Lanka! There is free wifi, hot water for shower and drinking, they even changed my money for me! They also welcomed with with ceylon tea which was delicious. If I ever come here again i will definitely stay here again. Also, they do provide tours to attraction places at a very reasonable price.

Good place to stay on a budget. The owner was super responsive with everything and the surrounding area is really quiet and calm. Be aware of the monkeys who comes to visit you. Overall loved the stay here. It was very relaxing. Might visit again.

I booked the room after reading the reviews. it didn’t disappoint me. The room was very clean. I never expected this much standard for the budget price, and breakfast was also tasty and great. As in the photos, the lobby ambiance makes you feel good. After all, these people are very sweet and they really make sure you are comfortable and make your trip worthwhile. If you need, they could provide a tour also. Guys, I highly recommend this place.

Highly recommended for stay in nuwara eliya. Calm and beautiful place with lot of freedom.. it has a nice view point . Friendly service. And you can experience the love of playful Zimba ❤️🐕..

Outstanding hosts! We had a great few days staying here, rooms were clean and comfortable and the family running the hotel were amazing. We took a tour to the blue field tea factory which is a great activity. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Very nice customer service by the owners and they are actually really helpful. Location is good with a decent view for the cost of the hotel. Rooms are very clean unfortunately the hot water system does not work well also the WiFi network is not available for some rooms. Food prepared by Udaya wife is really nice and decent for the price we paid. If you’re looking to try out some Sri Lankan food it’s better to have the food from the hotel than trying out food available at Nuwara Eliya town. The hotel offers Tuk rides as well who charges pretty decent amounts. Breakfast was really good but didn’t have sufficient sugar and the milk to make tea for two. No soap sufficient for two people in the washrooms.

Great place to stay. Clean, perfect temperature of hot water, nice view of city. And the best: the family that attend is outstanding and guide you during your visit here. 10/10 !

Beautiful room with nice view. Breakfast was good and the family was super kind. We did a tour with the owner which was great! He told us a lot about the culture while driving through the mountains. We felt at home during our stay.

A very good and safe place to stay in Nuwara Eliya. A place with a friendly owner with great hospitality. If needed, you can get a delicious meal very hot at night. The rooms are very clean.

The place is very clean and affordable. Owner is very kind . I had suffered from a severe tooth ache on the day and owner helped me with medicine and care. It was very kind of her. We had a lovely stay at the Golden King Guest. Whilst we are not budget travellers we did not mind staying here, and it really is a great place if you are on a budget. The hosts were super friendly, eager to help and we had dinner at the guest house both nights that we stayed. The food was delicious and you can tell that it was cooked with care. I think the rooms could do with some maintenance and TLC, but we had no issues at all during our stay :) beware the monkeys in the morning! If you choose to have breakfast on the balcony, make sure you keep and eye out for creeping monkeys!

Golden King is a place where you feel like staying. Their friendship is very friendly. Located in a quiet environment, the golden king guest house is located in a very mind-blowing land. From there, you can see a very beautiful view in front. Since it is the highest place around, the view can be seen very well. So Golden King is suitable as the best accommodation for a holiday. Hospitality was excellent. Service and food was good. Owner offered a paid tour of nuwara eliya and showed us tea and strawberrie factories and farms. Also a very nice waterfall! 2 nights and don't regret it!

We stayed two nights at the Golden King. Our room was quiet large and had a beautiful view over the city and the mountains. The host is super nice and helpful. We had a great time!
