Recently we had such a wonderful trip that I have been meaning to give you some feedback. Aqua dunhinda is an amazing, beautiful place to stay. The villa itself is a nice place all rooms are air-conditioned and bathrooms are very spacious.Their pool is such a great place to relax. With all these facilities it fitted in with our budget. more over the villa staff were an absolute highlight. Specially Rukshan was a fantastic and gracious chef and such a lovely guy. The food was so good , we ate way too much. Not just him all of the staff members always went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were so good with the kids. Overall it was such a pleasant experience we had at aqua dunhinda and would highly recommend without hesitation.

Aqua dunhinda is located along the banks of mighty Mahaweli River and overlooking the kotmale forest reservation (500 arches of tropical forest). The mighty Mahaweli River is Sri Lanka’s longest river which passes through the land over a large rock canapé that provides a breath taking view. The unique location has inspired a number of legends among the villagers dating back to the Kandy Kingdom/dynasty. The location of the villa is called “Dunhida” due to the fact it creates mist as the river flows through during the rainy season. The property is located 1.5 Km from the City of Gampola and 1km interior from the Gampolo/Narwalapithya highway. Day excursions including UNESCO world heritage site- the scared City of Kandy (15 KM), the Tea capital of the world – Nuwera Eliya (50KM), Pinnawella Elephant Sanctuary (30KM) are short distances away. The villa is location is 90KM from the Katunayaka international Airport.

Amazing place, with a such a cool environment. Also should mention we had such an AMAZING STAFF with AMAZING Food + service throughout our stay (2 nights). Specially would like to thank Sanjeewa, who helped and looked in to each and everything. And also Appu who did an EXCELLENT job by making us delious food. Amazing experience. I went with bunch of my friends (9). And the villa can accommodate 9 people. The surrounds were impeccable and simply Beautiful and Breathtaking taking Panoramic Views of the Kothmale tropical forest, overlooking bank of Mahaweli river flows. The Staff were friendly and very supportive. I wanted Thank Mr.Sanjeewa who helped throughout our stay. amazing accommodating and very spacious villa . The food also delicious! The villa provide transportation from their vehicle park to the villa because the road was not so good. But you can come to the villa parking without any issue. Great place to relax and chill with friends and family

Absolutely stunning view with Mahaweli River running down the premise. Nice spacious rooms with good bathrooms. Decent size pool good for 5-6 eople at a time. Clean and everything but a big shout out should be given to the staff who are extremely friendly and provides excellent service. We had a group of 9 gave them groceries to provide us food and they did a superb job with very tasty food and service.. 5 stars for sure..

Truly beautiful and wonderful experience. Views are breathtaking. Villa is stunning. Food amazing. Service from the team is first class. Very few tourists around in this area and you are well off the beaten track. Takes a 4x4 to get to the villa from the main road. Loved every minute Authentic sri lanka at its finest. (it could even be a mini version of a James bond hideout! It's that cool) Thanks team for our memorable stay!

Amazing place, scenery is incredible and so is the wildlife. Cannot recommend highly enough, especially for nature lovers.

Our stay at Aqua Dunhinda was Awesome. If we come back to Ethgala with more friends we would not consider staying anywhere other than here. Absolutely perfect! The pool was such a great place to relax and so Good for Yoga and Meditation in the indulging with nature. IT'S A real Hideout !!
