Fairly priced. - Buffet available, average rating for food, which can be improved with menu combinations. *careful when you using the outside wooden deck, as one plank got cracked while we using. But management promised to make necessary repairs so won’t be an issue in future. Road is little damaged but you can go in any car Overall must visit place! We would definitely visit again.

You must visit this place to experience it first hand. They also have their own viewpoint which is a very small hike uphill from the hotel. If anyone is reading this review and you want to visit the Windloft retreat, you have to be okay with the following: 1. The roads towards Deltota and uphill are not great. You need a vehicle that can make it to the top. That being said, my tiny wagonR made it to the top with only the luggage weight. 2. They have rules in place. All for good reason. It helps them maintain the place in very good condition. I would definitely visit again!

Love this place! It’s scenic inside out including the washroom, windy and peaceful away from hustle and bustle. The staff are very warm and welcoming shoutout to the manager Yasas he makes sure to go above and beyond to make the stay better. Their food hands down 10/10. I’ve been here twice and will come back again. Make sure you get to this place well before sunset as their is a very short climb with rocky road other than that highly recommend for families and kids.

Windloft Retreat is uniquely located on a hilltop in Deltota and has a breathtakingly beautiful view. The service is great and rooms are spacious, modern and clean. Food is great and affordable too. The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful mountain range and you have the opportunity to hike and enjoy a bath in a natural pool too. The climate in the area is chilly and misty. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience at this bungalow. The staff were fantastic, friendly, and super helpful in every way. The road to the bungalow is a bit of a tricky drive so make sure you travel in a vehicle with enough ground clearance. Overall, wonderful place with breathtaking views.

It was such a super marvelous experience to us. Situated on a hilltop, this place has a very beautiful surrounding. Clouds and wind create a different feeling. The room, cleanliness, ventilation are all excellent. The food is very delicious. It was much better than expected. Very friendly staff provided excellent service. A small part of the road was a little rough, but it was not a big problem. This incredible place can be highly recommended without any problem.

One of the best nature resorts I have ever been. Food was delicious, rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was very welcoming. If you are at the beginner level of hiking, this place is an ideal place for you. The climate and everything was perfect. But very disappointed with the road that headed towards the hotel. If you do not have a vehicle with a satisfying ground clearance, do not dare to drive straight to the hotel...it would be a terrifying nightmare. Better you park your vehicle somewhere on the base..and take tuk tuks..but you have to bear the tuk fares. Hope the hotel management would sort out this issue ♥️

great place to be! road is bit worn-out but if you carefully drive you can manage. ( low ground clearance cars might not able to go). view is majestic and beautiful. go here if you really enjoy nature and you can explore nearby mountains. you can hike too. this place is always windy and cold but rooms are not that cold so can stay comfortably. hotel rooms are great and well managed with hotwater and air conditioning. Yasas who is the manager is really friendly and he make sure you get the best experience. wish we had more time for enjoy.

Windloft retreat is an amazingly nice place. Place has about 9 rooms and we booked 5 rooms. Luckily, there were no bookings in the 2 nights we spent, and we had the whole hotel for ourselves. The rooms are very modern and spacious with all facilities. Bathrooms are very clean and nice. The views from the room, as well as the deck are breathtaking. Food is nice too. They have a menu, and you can inform in advance which food you are going to select. The Manager, Yasas was very friendly, attentive, and taken care of us very well. 5 stars to him. Thanks. The last 2Km for the hotel is a bit rough, but we even managed the road with a Premio car. It's not a big deal. There are many routes, but as of Dec 2022, road via Tennakumbara (Digana) is the best. They had a 12 midnight cut off from common area activities policy, and you may plan your activities accordingly. Don't think twice to select this place if you are planning a friends or family group trip to the mountains. Min. 2 nights are recommended for the stay.

Amazing Location surrounding beautiful mountains. Truly Windloft and what breathtaking atmosphere. I was really impressed with the view. It is kind of a isolated heaven very cold weather. Resident manager “Yasas” is giving very polite service and other staff members also providing good services. Only concern is about hot water geyser which are having less capacity. Overall I am happy with this hotel and it’s foods ❤️❤️..

Windloft was one of the superb hotels we had visited. Locality is ideal for a person looking to live in peace of mind. Weather is changing constantly. The chilling environment is so pleasing. Don't expect a big variation of food. But the food served is delicious manner. The hotel staff is so helpful and flexible. By mistake we had one mug broken and they didn't even charge for it and rejected our money in a very professional manner. We had two kids in our gang and by tge time we visited the premises it was around 2pm and they offered a soup with bread toast to kids free of charge. Before opening the buffet in every meal they allowed us to use the buffet for kids and therefore we could feed the kids without letting them starving. We were super happy with the kind thoughtful staff. Road is bit broken. But it's just for 500m and it's not that worse. Recommend even a car like Honda fit / Audi could be driven easily having less ground clearance. If u need to enjoy I recommend u to stay for 2 days atleast. U won't regret. I only recommend this place for people who are looking enjoy the weekend in a peaceful place.

We went to windloft retreat yesterday and we were amazed by the location of the hotel . Probably one of the best views a place could offer . It was the most relaxing of places we have been to . But it is the service that made us want to visit windloft again . Mr Yasas went out of his way to make sure we had a great time and he is the most sincerest and attentive of managers we’ve ever come across .He made sure we had the most comfortable stay at windloft . The food was really good and well worth for the price .Traveling there wasn’t as difficult , but recommend traveling before dark falls .

Windloft Retreat is one of the places I’ve ever been lucky enough to stay at. This place has amazing views. The rooms were clean, very comfortable. The staff is friendly & supportive. Especially the small boy who was serving food, tea. Even though there were not many varieties of food it was delicious. Thank you! Will recommend to my colleagues!

Windloft retreat is situated on a hilltop in deltota and has a breathtaking view. You can see galaga and deltota Town as well as other mountains. I like pine trees with grass mountains around the hotel. I think every car can reach the hotel with careful driving. I parked my car in deltota and went by tuk tuk which was arranged by the hotel. Tuk-tuk fare was 1600 for up and down. No flexible check-in and check-out times. Fortunately no need for us. The room was spacious and clean. It has A/C, hot water and an amazing view and no heater. They provided amenities and iron. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Our dinner dishes were not tasty. The hospitality of the staff was average.

A wonderful and calm place situated on a hill top near Delthota. This hotel owns a huge land. Situated above Great Valley tea estate. The road showed by google maps was wrong which was to turn left from the towns bus station. You need to go past the town premises and turn left to a road called Great Valley. The road below is quite difficult. But the road after reaching the end of Great Valley is good. Has wonderful views of sunrise and sunset. The natural pool situated was not usable on the dates we stayed there. We stayed for two nights on full board basis. The food was tasty. Yet the variations were quite less. There was a huge fire going on the entire mountain. The fire started early in the morning to the top of the mountain near the pine forest. It was suspected that some person started the fire. The fire ruined the entire day which we were planning to go on a hike towards pine forest. By the end of the day fire came near to the hotel as well. The staff did a good job putting out the fire going on near the hotel.

Beautiful place, highly recommended for a vacation, clean rooms and foods are also delicious and worthy. Playroom is awesome and I love that! Must give comment about manager. He is really friendly and gave full support to us. Nothing to complain. Love that place!

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting. It's a quiet and nice place. food is very good.full of Beautiful sceneries. Excellent place to spend your holiday leisurely.

Pros: Rooms-we got a family room for 4 adults and one kid. Very spacious and got all the amenities. Got a huge balcony with a heavenly view. Food: good variety and delicious. Service: the staff is not hotel schooled but very attentive and helpful. Location: out of this world! Weather: 22 c (in February) Facilities- there's a pool table, table soccer, chessboard, carum and a daang board in the game room. Places to visit- 1. Loolkandura (kondagala, james Taylor seat, etc) 2. Gurugal oya dam 3. Kandewatte reservoir 4. Gabadagama temple. There is a small trail to a nice waterfall where you can bath in privacy. Cons: Access road- vehicle loving people, be careful. People had come in small cars like toyota vitz but its good to have a vehicle with high ground clearance. Natural pool-it was muddy and was not maintained well due to the reduced water level. I really wished there was a proper swimming pool

Highly recommend this place!! Everything was amazing from the location to the food to the staff. Placed the booking through Mr. Sankha, the manager and he was very flexible and supportive when we requested for a reschedule of dates. Room: We stayed in room 201, which is a family room that can accommodate up to 6 adults. The room was very spacious and clean and had a large balcony with a nice view. The Dialog TV in the room had no signal probably due to the strong wind but there is a TV in the lobby if anyone wants to watch. Wifi was also not very strong in the room but there were no issues in mobile data or signal. Location: Superb location. Definitely a must visit place. Its a little gem located in the unpopulated mountains. The view from the hotel is amazing. Please reserve rooms in the 2nd floor if you need a spectacular view. If not the open deck would do the same. The experience is very different when compared to a stay in Nuwaraeliya / Kandy as the mountains are full of greenery with less buildings. I would say this is one of the best places if you are looking for calm and tranquil environment in the hills. Food: We got to taste a variety of foods during our 2 night stay. Everything was delicious from the soup to the main meal to the dessert. For breakfast they had options like string hoppers, milk rice, bread, roti, cornflakes and fruit juice in their buffet with fruits or yogurt for dessert. For lunch we had rice and curry with lots of tasty vegetables, salads and chicken and also a special rice on the other day with ice-cream for dessert. For dinner they had soup, indian dosai, fried rice, fried chicken, battered mushroom, pasta, toasts, salads and many other varieties with cream caramel for dessert. Morning buffet also provided tea and coffee. Staff: Everyone in the staff were very friendly and supportive and they were ever ready to accommodate our requests. From the manager to the support staff everyone did a great job in handling the guests. They took an extra step to ensure that all the guests were okay with what they have planned (eg: fireworks on 31st night) Road: The easiest route to this hotel would be to take the galaha-deltota road from peradeniya and then take the bopitiya road once you pass the deltota town. The road uphill to the hotel is quite broken and only one vehicle can go up/down at a time. (There are few places where two vehicles can pass by but mostly the road is narrow)Therefore make sure your car is in good condition and has sound ground clearance. We travelled in a Japanese alto and it did not cause any trouble to travel up/down.

A beautiful beautiful scenic place... A very good place for relaxation and to enjoy nature.. The view is actually breathtaking all around.. The food and services were good.. The indoor games available are an added bonus to the stay there.. Had a great time and would love to visit it again..
