Lanka Ella Waterfall is located in the Kalupahana area in the Badulla District of the Uva Province. The height is about 32 meters. It is located at a distance of about 1 km from Bambarakanda waterfall. This path to the waterfall is home to many endemic bird species. great place 👌

This waterfall is located close to the well known Bambarakanda waterfall. This waterfall falls into a pond in the shape of Sri Lanka. Due to that shape the waterfall is called Lanka Ella. This pond is about 20 feet deep. If you want to go to this waterfall you have to go to Bambarakanda waterfall. There is a small footpath through the pine forest that you come across near the Bambarakanda waterfall. When you go along it you can see Lanka Falls.

A hidden waterfall l which can only be reached by tracing the footpath along the mountain slope from which Bambarakanda waterfall drops. It's a must watch gem of a beauty and takes nearly 30-40 min walk from the bottom of Bambarakanda waterfall. Eventhough the waterfall is nearly 10-20 m in height the pool underneath is said to be having a maximum depth point reaching upto 20ft with craters. So unless you are a fish I wound recommend not to have a bath in this pool.

Lanka ella is a must visit if you are visiting Bambarakanda. The road to the LankaElla is not shown but it is quiet easy to find. Once you reach the Bambaraknda falls when you come down the stairs watch for your right into the woods. Just after few stairs there will be a small path into the woods to the right side. There is no proper developed road to LankaElla. The road to it is absolutely breathtaking. It will take about 30mins from that point to the falls and medium pace.

The waterfall is breathtaking. A must visit during your visit to Bambarakanda waterfall. Road to the waterfall is absolutely amazing. Have to walk through a pinus forest and then through bushes to reach the waterfall. A foot path is there but it was covered with wild shrubs. Fascinating view of greeny mountains throughout the way. You can go to the upper part of the fall too.

Beautiful waterfall situated near to the Bambarakanda falls.Rote is good and you can walk there easily by the foot path starting from the Bambarakanda falls. Still this place has protected it's natural beauty but there ware some signs that Dump campers reach here as well.

Height :32 meters Lanka Ella Fall is one of the few waterfalls unspoiled by the human activity due to the location. This falls lies about 1 km away from the Bambarakanda Falls and is accessible only by foot. The waterfalls gets its name from the rock pool below the falls which resembles a tear drop, the shape of the island of Sri Lanka. This pool is said to be extremely deep and is not suitable for bathing. The waterfall is reached by foot from the road leading to the Bambarakanda Falls. Take the foot path which leads to the top of the Bambarakanda Falls. You can reach the waterfall by trekking about 1 km in the forest.

A hidden waterfall in jungle only accessible through a trail. There's no direct path it can only achieved by walking. You can park your vehicles at Babarakanda Falls parking and go on foot. When going up the stairs for Babarakanda falls there's a foot path in left side to forest. By go along on that trail you can see the beautiful mountain view on left side. You can also see the LenaElla - a small waterfall below. The trail may be slippery when raining. The name LankaElla was given due to the waterfall's basin is shaped as Sri Lanka. Very cool and clear water but you cannot swim or bath here because water is very low at every time.

One of the most scenic waterfalls in Sri Lanka. Can be reached from Bambarakanda waterfall by trekking for around 20 mins. Natural pond below the falls is a treat to have a bath

Waterfall that is famous for its unique shape which the villagers claim to be of the shape of Sri Lanka and hence the name of the waterfall. Located in close proximity to babarakanda falls in kalupahana.

It’s about a 20 mins trek from the Bambarakanda falls. The Lanka Ella falls is much smaller than the Bambarakanda falls but the trek leads through a very scenic pine forest, and the further you go, the better the more scenic it gets.

It was one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka located in Badulla District. The name "Lanka" has been received because the pool of the waterfall has taken the shape of Sri Lanka. The villagers say that the deep of the pool is about 10 to 15 feet. Visitors need to be careful whenever entering the pool. The water level can also be increased quickly due to the heavy rains in the upper areas.

One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka. It has the shape of Sri Lanka at the bottom. It is dangerous as well as beautiful. The edge of the waterfall is very slippery. BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ARE TAKING PHOTOS! You might fall into the pool and it has a very deep pool.

Babarakanda Falls is nearby. You have to take the elephant road near Babarakanda. A bit hard to find. But Lanka Falls is very beautiful.

Lanka Ella Falls is amazing! I went there and it was like a fairy tale. The waterfall is big and beautiful, surrounded by green trees. The sound of water was so calming. Getting there was fun, walking through the nice trails. When I reached the falls, I felt so happy. The water was cool and made a mist in the air. It was like a natural air conditioner! If you love nature and want a calm, beautiful place, go to Lanka Ella Falls. It's a lovely spot to enjoy with friends and family.

A Beautiful waterfall in a tranquil and quite untouched setting. You can easily reach the waterfall via entrance to bambarakanda falls. There is another route from the devil's staircase (ohiya to kalupahana) which is slippery and somewhat dangerous.
