Aside
from
the
fact
that
my
wife
and
I
have
been
patrons
of
Ocean
Diner
ever
since
I
met
her
in
2000,
I've
been
eating
at
Ocean
Diner
since
the
1980's!
I've
known
Rick,
the
owner
of
the
diner
ever
since
my
sister
started
managing
Rick's
two
businesses
...
Ocean
Diner
and
Java
Man
Coffee
House,
both
of
which
are
located
in
the
wonderful
little
beach
side
town
of
Hermosa
Beach,
California.
Ocean
Diner
is
literally
the
epitome
of
the
50s
California
diner.
It's
not
a
New
York
diner,
it's
a
California
diner.
The
food
is
definitely
ALL
American,
but
with
that
wonderful
and
amazing
California
twist.
What's
a
"California
twist",
you
ask?
Well,
you
have
choices!
Lots
and
LOTS
of
choices!
You
can
get
biscuits
and
gravy
with
eggs,
crumbled
bacon,
AND
sausage,
I
mean,
what's
more
American
than
that?
Or,
you
can
get
scrambled
egg
whites
with
green
onions
and
mushrooms
served
with
brown
rice
and
a
side
of
homemade
pico
de
gallo
salsa.
Their
menu
goes
on
and
on!
Not
only
that,
but
Ocean
Diner
has
daily
specials
which
are
posted
on
a
marker
board
up,
behind
the
cash
register
listing
even
MORE
amazingly
delicious
dishes.
If
you
live
in
the
L.A.
area,
and
you
and
your
loved
ones
(or
some
friends)
have
been
talking
about
getting
down
to
the
beach
area
for
a
weekend,
you
really
ought
to
consider
stopping
by
Ocean
Diner
and
order
yourselves
a
meal.
I
suspect
that
Ocean
Diner
will
most
likely
become
one
of
your
regular
haunts.
A
word
of
advice
though.
Get
there
early
if
you're
going
for
breakfast
on
the
weekend.
If
you
show
up
anywhere
after
eight-thirty,
expect
to
wait
for
up
to
thirty-five
or
even
forty-five
minutes
to
get
seated.
Also,
make
sure
that
someone
in
your
party
goes
inside
to
the
register
and
gets
one
of
your
names
on
the
list,
otherwise,
you
could
be
there
a
long
time.
Tell
them
that
