We ordered a drink that was advertised as a souvenir glass to take home, but when we went to leave the bouncer wouldn't let us keep it. We tried to show him the menu listing the offer but he refused to look. Excellent way to leave a bad impression. Recommend any of the other bars in the area to avoid rude surprises. Edit: Also just realized the prices on my receipt are all higher than advertised on the menu. As mentioned in the original review, be prepared for many rude surprises!

Great food! The mushroom truffle pizza and the Salmon were delicious. Tasty cocktail as well (Johnny Utah). Excellent service as well! Oh, you need to get the cookie skillet for dessert… it’s unbelievably delicious!

Questionable vibe, I feel like it’s for older people but they have 32oz beers before 7 pm on Thursdays. You can also add $1 to any cocktail to make it a 22oz.

Located centrally by the pier and great for people watching since it is elevated above overlooking the walkway to the pier. Great menu selection and make sure you try the pretzel fondue. The stuffed pizza is also amazing. Prices are also reasonable.

I'm here on business for the week and decided I needed to come here twice this week. The first time I got an exquisite rustic vegetable salad. Tonight I came back for comfort food. The chicken pot pie, pretzel and cheese, and brown butter mashed potatoes made for one legendary comfort food experience. And over looking the coolness of some restaurants on the Hermosa Beach Promenade. My waiter was attentive and excellent. ??

Great service. We had sangria's and a wedge salad, both were excellent. I would definitely go back here again. Just know the crowd is very young twenties and thirties. ?

Pretty good place. Service was excellent. Most of the food was really good. The only complaint or negative really would be the "seasonal vegetables" an alternative to fries which weren't cooked thru and had very little flavor at that. It's weird to combine brussels and root veggies. It just didn't work texture or taste wise. Hopefully they fix that otherwise the chicken sandwich (grilled instead of fried) was epic flavors + thanks to our server for making that recommendation!

Basil Chicken Pesto was good! Sat at the back bar which was quiet on a Sunday afternoon. Kind service

Went here Saturday evening, saw a cool mixed crowd and good vibes. Enjoyed a tasty hazy IPA with my friends and then left for the evening. Love the different areas (downstairs, plus two bar scenes upstairs connected by a walkway) and genuinely had a good time. Will likely be back!

Food and drinks are good here. The view is the reason to come here. The bartender was very good and was apologetic when my order was forgotten about. The online orders were taking more importance over the in person customers.

My overall experience was mediocre, we had the meatballs that were bad. Not much flavor in the meatballs themselves or the sauce.. we also had the short ribs, they were close to an hour to come out but were pretty good. Sorry I don’t have a pic my phone died..

Really fun!! Please consider using washable towels instead of excessive paper towels to clean up spills! Really great time!

Not worth the hype. Took 20 minutes when they were not busy to get a whiskey and coke, mixed drink and a beer (At 7PM). Also, the well whiskey and coke was overpriced. Gave it three stars instead of 2 because our server was nice.

Fantastic staff and food. I had the mushroom pizza and sat at the bar with Marcos. He was super attentive and a great bartender. I enjoyed all of my drinks and was blown away by the wood fired pizza. Thank you for everything. Worth a visit if you’re looking for a friendly staff and great dining experience

We went pretty late at night around 10 PM. It was pretty crowded. There was long wait time. We had few beers on bar rather waiting for food. Service was good. Atmosphere was like party ambience. Loud music, enjoyable atmosphere. This place will be good for small group planning for drink and music. Won't recommend for kids.

This is a very strange restaurant. The lower floor has almost the vibe of garden cafe, with a sports bar upstairs. The furniture and decor in the garden area is very inconsistent - there is almost nothing that matches, some tables are beautiful while others are dirty and stuck with paper, etc. The cocktails were perfectly fine. As for the food: White bean hummus was bland, and all I could taste was lemon. The celery was browning/floppy/not very fresh. Pita it came with had herb butter and finishing salt visible, but all I could taste was the salt. Blue cheese burger had a mountain of arugula and pickled onions. The only blue cheese I found was a strange aioli that wasn't terribly appetizing. The meat itself had no seasoning whatsoever, and tasted very much like a frozen patty that was dropped on a grill. The arugula and fennel salad is, in fact, a salad consisting of only arugula and fennel, which is an odd choice. The dressing that comes with it seems to be a lemon juice/olive oil vinaigrette; however, it is not nearly enough to cut through the arugula's bitter earthiness. Overall, I am deeply underwhelmed and will not be returning. This restaurant is probably not worth it unless you are visiting for the sports bar upstairs.

The bartender was amazing. Our food was amazing. You have to go upstairs, but that strip of restaurants is such a vibe with the view and the vibe. I have a regular burger with skinny fries.

Hopped in for drinks. Could not get bar service at back bar. No wait help up front. Bartender was distracted when ordering. Great place to people watch and meet up with friends. More of a locals only joint. Lots of single ladies enjoying their small plate and wine.

The food was pretty good. I had the garlic shrimp and cauliflower tempura. Friends had the chicken wings and Waldorf salad. The only real complaint is that the waiter brought our straws holding them by the tip and proceeded to insert them into our drinks. Ewww

We made reservations for a big group. They were helpful and patient. It was a mellow vibe. We came during happy hour and the beers were massive. We ordered meatballs, deep fried cauliflower, sliders, sandwiches, pizzas etc. It turned into karaoke at 9pm on a Thursday. Then it got crowded. Too crowded. A lot of baseball hats. Bro city.

First time trying this place on the pier. There is an outdoor patio and 2nd floor area that overlooks the pier. Great view to watch people stroll around enjoying the views and weather. The food was pretty good, no issues or complaints. Server was pretty friendly, with a little bit of a wait. To be expected with great weather. Everyone was out and about.

Cool place to hang on a summer 🏝️🌞 afternoon. We prefer the front bar upstairs, look down on the plaza and watch the world go by. Cocktails were well mixed, typical summer beach prices, the staff was friendly, kind and enjoyable to chat with. Didn't eat so can't say. Nice place! 😎

My favorite favorite favorite cuban spot. The vibe is awesome, it will take you back in time to a 70s-80s Miami. The place has been around since the 70s and still has a very old fashion decor but it looks nice. The waiters/waitresses are dressed in a funny green outfit that you wouldn't see at another restaurant! Very original.

It was cool nice setting for sure and has an aesthetic look suitable for the beach with the white color but I didn't get to try the food yet so stay tuned for another review.

Wanted the short rib, but they didn't have it. They must have been short staffed because the waitress seemed very stressed out. She did her best. I had the burger, which was good, not outstanding. The donut holes were very good.

The unlabeled hot sauce eye droppers that get served with certain menu items (eg brisket) are reused multiple times in a night without cleaning. This was confirmed by two separate employees while I was there tonight. This is a condiment that is served on your plate and appeares to be single serving. Unfortunately, it is not single serving.

  • 1/5 Samantha R. 4 years ago on Google
Tonight I had the misfortune of running into a manager tonight by the name of Rodrigo. My sister and I asked an extremely friendly waitress that served us about a Mardi Gra bead competition that was going on. We asked her two questions is the competition still going and if so how long. The waitress came back at around 9:40 pm and told us the competition ended at 11:00pm we asked 3 other employees working the bar and the door the same question they all said it ended at 11pm we told the guy at the door we would be back. We came back with almost 50 beads compared to every one elses 5 and 8 when we ran into Rodrigo at around 10:51 pm he let us know the competition ended at 11pm me and my sister thought great we will take the cash prize and by more drinks in 9 minutes... 2 minutes later Rodrigo tells us, the manager on duty changed his mind and the competition ended at 1 am in the morning which technically is a whole other day but we said we would rock it out. We got friendly with a female and a male bartender and asked them who is the manager on duty and imagine to our surprise they both said the manager was Rodrigo. We stayed and noticed no one else must know about the competition because literally every one had the maximum of 10 beads... we just about forgot about the competition when we ordered 2 more drinks and started zoning out to the music at the bar when Rodrigo asked us what are we waiting for. My sister responded to this extremely poor customer service and said were waiting on you. We then told him it was a little unfair to tell us the competition ended at one time but it's fine we will wait he responded and said and I quote " I cannot change the time " me and my sister were extremely astonished at this customer service. Since we never go any where, what with my busy work and school schedule and her working for the police department we never have time to enjoy ourselves... we finally get to 1pm me and her are extremely tired and are ready to go when Rodrigo walks up to us and asks where are my Beads, since they were extremely heavy and was sitting on my neck for 4 hours I put them in my purse. he disappears and brings some random caucasian woman from the back with nearly 106 necklaces who hadn't been there all night. All the employees seemed to be very fond of this women which Is when I knew it was rigged. I was extremely dissatisfied and disappointed at this point the beads and the money meant absolutely nothing but for it to be the last day of Mardi gra and there to be no announcement, they didnt even stop the music they just crowned this girl that they gave beads too that everyone seemed to know (all 7 customers in the club lol) and I decided to walk out. I even asked him why are they making an announcement of who won the competition and he said to keep "we dont need to make an announcement " that is when I knew for sure they just through beads on this girl. I am not sure how Rodrigo (if this is even his real name) is still a manager but rest assured I will NEVER be back there as long as he is running things and i Highly recommended you dont either . patrick molloys has the BEST customer service and they are fair , i realize that's too much to ask for these days . I could not believe that I was treated so poorly and yes you already know what color my skin is by the way I was treated by Rodrigo... if I could give just him negative stars I DEFINITELY would . Do not visit this establishment ESPECIALLY if you want a chill night, good music and good customer service and since sharkeez and this place is run by the same ppl please avoid at all costs ...

Bouncers let us in, demanded cover for no reason, a bunch of people cat called my girlfriend - not the scene you want to be in. Very low life and no respect at this establishment.
