My experience here was worse than terrible , I went in last year trying to cancel my membership because I was moving away , then come to find out that the manager I spoke to never canceled my membership but froze my account, which is not what was asked. Now a debt collectors office is calling and saying i owe $163.85 to just have my membership canceled . Please look at other options before choosing this one.

My experience here was disappointing. I came in here with high hopes and expectations, from the pictures that were presented online. From the start the manager was talking to me and using curse words. I thought that was highly unprofessional. The people in the front desk were cursing to each other really loudly while I was standing there waiting for help. I never been to a gym where we have staff members cursing at other staff or to potential gym members. Other gyms I’ve been to, staff has always held a high professional manner. My friend has also slipped and fell badly in the bathroom due to water being all over the floor. That was brought to the manager’s attention to which he wasn’t concerned about my friend, he just said he “couldn’t go in the bathroom now or else I’ll get punched in the face.” Maybe an apology or sending a custodian to the restroom to mop that up or put up a sign? You’re lucky my friend didn’t bust her face open on the sink. There were a variety of machines, yes. They were all very close to one another though. For example, at the squat rack, you can’t grab weights from the side without dodging the barbell in the squat rack next to you. There was lack of Covid protocols, no sprays. Just a few wipes spaced out around the gym. I’ve watched people work out and just leave their sweat drenched machines without wiping it down. Every area I was at, I watched to see if people wiped it down after use. No one did! They all walked away onto the next machine. I have been gym searching and I have never seen a gym where staff members are so unprofessional and the gym goers not wipe down anything.

Worst experience I have had at a gym and it’s definitely due to new management! For three months I have tried to cancel my membership. They came up with some many excuses… example: unable to find membership, come back in three days, manager not here , manager is busy call back later , please leave information with us and will call you back , our internet is slow and our computers are not working today ! They have charged me 3 different monthly fees and today was charged $54 for an annual yearly fee !! I CAN NOT express the frustration and inconvenience this gym has caused ! I highly recommend new manager ! DO NOT GO to this gym!!

If you want to get scammed go to this gym. Was charged hundreds of dollars over the time I was here (all different transactions). Management doesn’t know a thing and is always changing, they say they’re going to follow up but don’t. The last time we were told we had a $120 balance, which we don’t know what for. They said it was something from over a year before, we talked to the GM and he said if we paid for $120 worth of supplements we wouldn’t have a balance anymore. Fast forward we think we don’t have a balance and my account was charged $123. These random charges to my account have happened 3 times and they are no help at all. Anytime I call to speak with the GM, he’s either not there or busy. Anyways yeah definitely don’t recommend and you can’t even get a workout in with how packed it is and most machines don’t work. Gym is super dirty as well. I would give 0 stars if I could.

If you want to get charged $600 for 1 month with no dispute.....go here. I wish I could put 0 stars.....I had a membership and went to cancel (I was reviewing finances before closing a card). I was not notified of another charge for the following month and was charged after my card was closed out....so of course, it did not go through. I was NOT notified in any way...email, phone (I do have a spam blocker), or mail. I feel like if you are truly being an honest company you would find a more professional way to charge someone $30 for their last month, instead of $600 when they are unaware of what is going on. I suggest asking people if they want to pay off the remaining amount of the account day of instead of trying to sneak in another charge. I would suggest checking out all other gyms around before this one....management is kind but young and inexperienced. When I went in to discuss this, it went no where. I actually had the Operations Manager call me and she was extremely unprofessional and rude. It was uncalled for and not a way to treat people in a professional business. Highly disappointed. $600 is excessive to close a $30 a month gym. As a manager myself with an MBA.....I can tell you this is terrible customer service. Resolving this would make me potentially recommend this gym to more people that would drive more revenue (or possibly go back myself) but now I'll recommend one around the corner.

Very disappointed that the ignite room is now closed except for classes. I used to do a majority of my workout there. Will seek other gym options in the area as that was one of the main reasons I joined. Update: today I went in and the ignite room was open again. I had the best workout I experienced in a while. Completely happy with the cleanliness of the room and hope it stays open.

Nothing is ever where it’s supposed to be, got 65lbs dumbbells mixed with the 20’s, no one ever cleans, “strong guys” with their belts and knee sleeves will load the leg press with 10 plates, do 1/4 reps, then leave them all on there, everyone feels the need to just slam the cable weights to show how strong they are and are out of order because of it, treadmills stick when running. To many groups come for social house and take up 3 stations and maybe lift all of 2 sets in 30 minutes. Just better than planet fitness, all it’s got going for it

It is to surprise after my experience with Texas Family Fitness, that this club has such q mediocre star rating. I attempted to cancel the training sessions that I signed up for the 3-month agreement with no success the first two months I have a training session with one person, (don’t know the reason but he left the gym, he let me know on time for me to be aware he will be not my trainer any more.) the club was irresponsible in booking training sección after that. The club’s inability to hire competent employees caught me in a predicament as they did not do their job properly. Cancellation,notice I used a plural format, were not submitted by two managers on session, beyond the 3-month I had agreed to. $984dls were charged on my credit card. I try to contact corporate office and they never answer the phone, I emailed them and they reply back saying they don’t count any conversations at the club. I will not use these paid in advance training sessions as I am uninterested in continuing to be part of such a club that participate in scamming people. This is your warning, to all those who decide it is worth paying low monthly gym membership fees. However their personnel is unprofessional and ethical.

It is a pretty decent gym has all the equipment you need nothing extra I will say though they need to do a better job at making sure their members and also staff does not park in the handicapped parking spot in front of the gym almost every single time I come to the gym there’s either employees park there or members of the Gym would not have a disabled parking pass. It is especially surprising since this gym does have multiple disabled members.

This has been my gym for over one year, price is great, bathrooms clean, the only issues I have - most people don’t wear masks, no wipes or sanitizer around to clean machines, and also the boxing room is always closed! But over all I would say newer equipment and lots is space with two floors.

It’s literally one of the best gyms I’ve been too. The fact that they have a kid zone is so convenient as a mom. I struggled for a long time trying to get my mom bod off but everywhere I went I felt insecure and like people where judging me! But Texas Family fitness has been so great, the atmosphere has been so friendly especially the staff!! Such great people really.

Fantastic set of gyms! I've been a member of the Garland location for 3 years now and I must say it's a breath of fresh air compared to the overpriced gyms in and around the area. Consistently cleaned facilities, organized and consistent customer service. Without a doubt best bang for your buck and one of the most accessible and resourceful staffs around.

The gym is amazing!!! The staff is super helpful and friendly!! Joel has been an amazing person with me and all my friends that I have referred to the gym!! He’s always there to clarify and help around at the gym!!! I love the equipment is new and there’s a lot of it available!! Love the ignite room!! And my favorite is the hydromassage!!! My kid loves kids club and I’m super excited for kids bootcamp!!! 💪🏻

I've been a member since the opening. The gym is great and front desk workers always speak. What I can't figure out is why this new gym does not have toilet tissue dispensers in the women's restroom first stall and the handicap stall. It's been open since June and it's October. Hopefully they will have this resolved by Christmas 2019.

Tried this gym for the first time and loved it! Everyone is very friendly and Maria was very helpful. She made me feel so comfortable about the kids club!

The Garland location is always a great environment, always provides me with motivation to workout harder and achieve my fitness goals. The service that the staff provides is top notch. Always greeting me with a smile and assisting any needs I may have.

The gym is an amazing place to workout, the environment and equipment is really nice and Enrique the general manager runs the place well!! I’ve brought over multiple people to come check the place out and they love it. Very nice gym.

The manager there Enrique, was very professional and polite when I went for a tour and for a pass. He truly cares about your experience there as a member. Great overall personality. The gym itself is great and has everything you need.

So today I went to get a membership. When I first walked in I was little nervous but then the girl at the front desk was polite and walk me through the signing in process . Then after that she presented me to Enrique and honestly thank goodness he was there because he explained everything so well and treated me with a lot of respect and hospitality. I went from getting a regular membership to getting the best one thanks to Enrique and on top of that he got me daycare for my kiddos which was pretty great . I never took the gym seriously but now thanks to Enrique I feel motivated to do so. I even got myself a pre-workout formula. I’m not a big fan of berries but honestly this mixed berry formula tastes amazing. All thanks to Enrique for looking out for me and making sure I get the best of best. If you are looking for a gym that cares Texas family fitness it’s the one for you!!

Have been a member here for over two years. Fantastic variety of equipment, Vanessa in childcare has always been wonderfully kind to me and my kids and made it easy for me to want to bring them with me, meaning im at the gym way more often.

Great facility with clean and ample equipment. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Definetly recommend for anyone looking for a permanent gym to call home.

This gym is perfect for what my family needs. Vanessa in the childcare is the BEST! My daughter is so excited to see her everyday! She’s kind and I don’t have to worry about my kids when they’re with her. The equipment and space is great too. The community is welcoming.

A very productive place to workout. They keep things clean, very accessible, and willing to help. They have the equipment I need and more and I haven't had a bad experience with them these past two years of service. They aren't perfect, but they at least for me have proven to be the right choice in gym. Not to mention that most of the people that are there are serious about WHY they are there.

I been member at this Gym for a few months and is a clean, great atmosphere. Just sign up for training sessions with Axel and so far so great. He is a great guy and very accessible with his time. I truthfully recommend him as your next trainer.

I would not recommend this gym to anyone unless you wanna get scammed. For the month of May 2023, they had a 5 de Mayo “special” on their elite membership, it was advertised as month to month for $27 a month. I went in on the last day of the “special” so I wouldn’t miss out on the deal, first the high school girl in the front did not greet & was on her phone. When i asked that i needed to sign up she gave a smirk to her coworker making it obvious that they didn’t wanna help. The guy with blonde hair still took me in the last hour of his shift & quickly explained the membership. He told me the amount of $27 monthly, plus the initial fee of $54 which i paid after I had signed the agreement. But not ONCE did he tell me about an annual fee being charged within the first 30 days. This is not my first rodeo for getting gym membership & i am aware that they are some gyms that charged ANNUALLY but it is disclosed as you are signing. When i signed there was not a physical paper, you basically sign off on the payment pad. It has only been about 2 months and i have already been charged about $200 which is RIDICULOUS. Texas family fitness DO BETTER & train your high school employees to their JOB.

I’ve been attending to this gym for a long time and what I like the most is that I’m able to bring my kids and be able to enjoy my workout knowing that my kids are in good hands. Vanessa has been amazing taking care of the kids. The manager Rosa and Vanessa are very friendly and polite to everyone. They make sure your kids are safe and good taken care of.

Friendly people, nice equipment, it's a gym where people train. Definitely a great choice. Areas of improvement, the locker room was filthy with trash everywhere and stains all over the walls and water fountain was not draining. pooling and wipes/sanitizer stations not stocked. Overall it's been great.

Great staff everyone is so nice and a big plus for me is the kids club Vanessa is super great with my kids 🙌 Love the classes as well especially the ignite classes

Family Fitness - maintain the high quality of service! 06/18/2022: Going 6 months. Still maintaining efficient service w smiling staff. Still w trainer Bryan Diaz. Tho' he has quite a few trainees under his wing, he maintains the energy & enthusiasm to train me. That's a 'trouper!' Keep up guys & girls! 10/17/2022. Still a very nice gym. Inspite of turn overs, what matters most are the clients (very nice group of people, average type of ol' good friendly Johnny ) & the environment.

This is a run of the mill gym but geared a little more towards lifters (which is nice), it would be nice if this place was cleaner and ran a bit more professionally but for the price you get what you pay for.

A decent gym with a good overall selection I only go in the am because afternoon is always to crowded but in the mornings soon as they open is great but honestly I'm thinking of switching because I don't like overly crowded gyms and sometimes they are too many women and younger teens lifting and the dumbells and barbells are all taken except the super heavy ones but other than this it's a ok gym

They Charge me for annually fee after i cancelled not within a month and also charge me for monthly fee! That’s so scam, they said annually fee is only being charge when a year is due. Such a a**hole. So scam and dirty fitness

Appreciated Anthony’s help when I came in the other day to sign up on a membership! He had great customer service, he was very kind, and engaging.

I like to come and have fun, it's a good place for me
